Can you direct me to some of the medications that you took if you dont mind.
Pleae and please , don't ever try taking another man's drug..

Antipsychotics are very powerful set of drugs that can screw your life up.
For antidepressants there are about 6different classes and the one will take depends on your specific type of depression,, your kidney and liver function, if you are other drugs even if its paracetamol..

For instance if you take selegiline (a type of ,,antidepressant) and you take cheese, you will have a severe hypertensive crisis..imagine treating for depression and then you get hypertension.. Some thing as harmless as cheese

Those steps were NOT in order! Read her post again. The anaesthesiologist was not called at 9pm. She took him back to the hospital in the morning. What medical intervention did they give him? A drip and an injection. Was that the way to treat his case? Don't forget that his wife said he was in pain! You doctors can be terrible! Trying to cover up for one another. angry
I am not trying to cover up.

This guy had a kidney transplant..see these transplant patients are on immunosuppressive drugs for life and their food and even drugs are to be specific.. Even aspirin you can take for pain is not taken by them else it may damage the kidney . I believe that's why kevwe was cautious not to give drugs..
He's just a medical officer
Besides,, most drugs these patients use can have interactions with other drugs causing more harm than good.
In ethics if you can not do good, then atleast do no harm

No I disagree.
None of the steps taken were in medical order.
You don't discharge a patient in that particular state home. The best they should have done is keep him in the hospital or send him to another hospital if they had no bed space.
No diagnosis was made on him. So what were they hoping to treat.
No lab test was done. Considering that he is post kidney transplant, the first thing should have been a blood chemistry test at least. An abdominal USG if available.

A junior doctor should have a senior doctor hanging around, just incase things get hairy. That case was beyond that guy.
Shït!!! They did nothing. They killed the man.
Okay ma'am...
They stabilized?yes.
History was taken?yes?
Of course, examination yes.

Who said an e/u or blood chemistry wasn't done and urea level was okay and the kidney was fine?

Treatment?obviously the dude was being cautious about Charles being a transplant patient.I believe he told him to come back after stabilization the next day or so.. We haven't heard the doctors part of the story..
Transplant patients are usually on immune supressors for life hence theirs immunity usually is impaired and care has to be taken even as to what they eat.

The doctor can not have told the man to go and not comeback if anything else is noticed..

I'm really sad too.

that saint nicolas hospital in a fake village health center.....its all over hype....i remember last year dec 25 i was at my friends house in lekki phase 1 for his birthday party....we were all drinking till late dat nite till a call came in around 3am when we were in the club dat his mother inlaw is sick ....we all went back home and d next morning the mother was taken to devil nicolars hospital....he was told to put initial deposit of 1million naira which he paid....and she was wheeled in for scan and the rest.....i left happy thinking at least this solid hospital has enough equipment to take care of her....she is just hypertensive oh.....only to get a call that the mother died dat night.....i wondered wat was the 1 million naira for....what really did they do with it....and they still had to cough out more bills oh....i prefer to go health center in my village than that hospital....all dem sabi na effizi...and put magazine make u read.....nuffin dey there angry angry angry
Just hypertension you say,Hypertension has more than 40 common complications and old age makes it worse.. mind you I am not defending the hospital.

But you sef don't be judgmental or sentimental.. For a scan to be done for hypertension ,its most likely an echocardiography or kidney ultrasound meaning the hypertension has had complications

Nigerians don't goto hospital till it's too much to bear and the damages has been done..

Imagine that the liver will continue working till about 90% of its mass is gone and in that case it's almost impossible to recover..go for check up regularly you hear?

Firstly..RIP to the dead.

Secondly .the man was a high risk patient hence the doctors were right to be cautious about medications.

Thirdly.. All the steps taken were medically in order

..even if he anesthesiologist wasnt needed till the man was critical. the radiologist wasn't needed until the necessary resuscitation was being done .

It's a very unfortunate situation.. But its giving the dog a bad name to hang it.. Nigeria is bad for all of us..imagine calling the anesthesiologist by 9pm and he leaves home immediately but because of traffic he arrives late then you blame him 'chai doctors don suffer sha..
I swear Nigerians are damn ungrateful ..Doctors are the very few coping with the poor system.

Well it's because she's well to do

The Bayelsa state government can demonise whoever they want and do as they like but does it remove the fact that Alams was a thief. He is also suspected of being culpable in other crimes and he was called to answer for it. If you call that harassing, then that person needs to have his/her heart checked.

I dont know why hypocrites in Nigeria want to play with this the wrong way. Alams was a convicted thief. He was convicted of the crime by a competent Nigerian court and that changes nothing. If he had simply gone to defend the allegations against him in London, he wouldn't be so afraid of Interpol picking him up in UAE and sending him to Britain.

As for those who say I am supposed to feel bad as a human being is dead, did you feel bad when Abacha die? What emotions ran through you when Osama Bin Laden die? I might not celebrate his death but telling me to respect the dead when while he was alive he was a disgrace to humanity is like tell me to drop an RIP is I hear confirm news that Shekau is dead.

Yes, I am proudly Deceptive and treacherous

I am not on your side please! Why do you celebrate someone's calamity, even if he is your worst enemy? What you felt the man did as a leader, you do worse in your own little capacity as a follower. How will you feel if someone tells you that your father is reaping the fruit of his wickedness, even though you have labelled him a saint in your own estimation without allowing those he ever injured to judge him?
He might failed so many women while looking for a wife to marry. Some of them may have carried his babies which eventually he denied. These women may have cried to God as a result. Your father might have denied some junior staff their rights which carries a curse...
So many things can be wrong with how your father lived on earth, even though I do not know him and do not wish to. Supposing he drops dead like his other friend in the story, and people began to curse him and refuse to assist you in his burial...? The best thing you can do for a dead person is to get him buried.
As a Christian, God mandated us to rebuke sinners and persuade them to repent while alive, because when they die, they can't repent in the grave. Your own business with man is when he/she is alive, at death, they face God who created them. What did you do or what are you doing to create a change in someone's life while he/she lives? Think...
My friend..he's simply heartless..
You and i know he wouldn't have died in upth.he would have been flown abroad if not for the extradition notice which definitely will be served to different embassies (he was trapped in Nigeria) so therefore he killed himself with corruption.
And please stop all this "father may have done this" ..everybody is worthy of his/her wages..
When something is bad, its bad, no grey areas...

If satan dies, am sure you'll rejoice..these people are our own satans'

Ngozi Bianze wrote

My Dad graduated from the University in 1976; finished NYSC in 1977; and worked Under the Delta State Ministry of Education for 35 years, then retired in November 2012.

During his service years, I saw him put his very best into the Job, those who knew/know him will testify to this. At a time, his life was almost on the line during the course of his service. He saw the good, bad and the ugly, but he still gave his best. And then in November 2012, he retired. That's almost 3 years ago.

Since November 2012 till this very day, my Dad has not received a penny. He is owed millions in Gratuity and millions in pension arrears.
Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan was then the Governor of Delta State; and Dr. Okowa since May 29th 2015. Non of these has deemed it necessary to pay these retired civil servants what they worked for for decades, non of them care about the welfare of these retirees who put in years of their lives into serving the State.

What if my Mum wasn't working? What if my Dad didn't make adequate plans for a business to fall back on? What if he was the sole bread winner who only depended on his monthly salary?... My brother would have had to drop out of school (as I and my sisters had graduated then but I wouldn't have been able to go for further studies), my Dad might have been dead from lack of enough money for medical care, my Mum would have been depressed and hungry, etc.... Less than a year after my Dad retired, a colleague of his died because he didn't have 200k advance deposit for medical bills, this was a man who was being owed millions. Maybe he would have been alive if he got his money at the right time. His children dropped out of school even before he died, there was no money for tuition of course.

Gratuity and pensions are not some kind of privilege; it's a fundamental right for all retirees.

Now what's the news reaching me? That Okowa is sending his people to US for 6 whole weeks at the expense of the State which includes MY FATHER'S MONEY. This breaks my heart so badly that I want to cry. How do these people sleep at night? Do they have blood running in their veins? What is wrong with humanity? What da freaking hell is wrong with Nigerians and their leaders?

And if tomorrow, either Uduaghan or Okowa drops dead, someone actually expects me and others to sing their praises huh? These so-called leaders who have done nothing but inflict pains on the masses will now become saints as soon as they drop dead right?

How do Nigerians manage to make a saint of every blood sucking demon that drops dead? What is good about Alamieseigha? I was trying so hard to keep mute but I related what this demon might have put Bayelsans through to what my Dad and his mates are going through in the hands of the ones who are supposed to act in their interest.

At least half the accidents/deaths on the Nigerian roads are as a result of bad leadership. Half the deaths in Nigerian hospitals are as a result of bad leadership if traced to the roots. Bad leadership is also the reason why many Nigerian graduates are not marketable. Bad leadership is responsible for millions of deaths in Nigeria. Bad leadership is behind the increased crime rate. Bad leadership is the reason I'm fed up of that country.

Nigerians are suffering, we're natural experts in suffering and smiling that's why the sufferings can easily be underestimated.
Who cares if all of Alamieseigha's organs failed? Who cares about how much pains he was in during his last days? Who cares if he died as a result of a heart failure or Ebola? These kleptos have caused much more pains for the masses. He deserves to be fed to the vultures, or left to rot in the evil forest where ants and rodents can have a marathon party on his remains.

You pray against bad leadership in Nigeria, God now begins to answer your prayers, but not only do you start a bizarre mourning jagajaga, you still want to force sane people like me to join you in the mourning.

Explorers:
1. Avoiding Lawsuits Instead of Providing Health Care.

A Jackson Healthcare survey uncovered that the vast majority of doctors, 92 percent, made medical decisions according to legal concerns rather than providing the best standard of diagnostic care for their patients. Every year, patients endure hundred of thousands of unnecessary tests and procedures, ordered to avoid any potential of medical malpractice. Eight percent of all surgeries, 14 percent of prescriptions and more than a quarter of all tests are performed to avoid litigation. The resulting cost to the American health care system alone measures between $650-$850 billion per year. Even worse, some doctors actively avoid treating patients listed as “high-risk cases” for lawsuits.
Reminds me of the proverb, as men had learnt to shoot with out missing the bird had learnt to fly without perching .. No be doctors fault.. It's also partly due to the increasing unemployment amongst lawyers

It seems geology departments in Nigeria have a thing for risking lives of their students.

Back in 2003/2004 during a field work, the bus i was travelling had break failure and it rolled over like 3 times before coming to a stop. Different injuries but no one died. Worst of it? We continued the field work!

Funny enough no one remembered or had the guts to inform the school authority.

So madam, i think it's becoming a norm with geology departments across federal universities!
Hello..your statement is akin to saying Toyota hiace buses experience the most accidents...of course they do because they are the most popular transport vehicles.
Geology students are the most travelled set of students in school (variably) that's why they're the most exposed.. Sneh.

You people were counting the number somersaults abi..

And certainly no student felt the need to report to the school via the department president or even class rep..
Or they were scared to report despite that they'll have gone for another trip later on?

Besides, state schools don't experience all these?

If that was the case, then your initial observation was incomplete.

This is because corroded battery terminals makes the kick starter click quite sure but you will see your lights on the instrument cluster flicker off and on again. Sometimes resetting your clock and radio settings. If you had noticed this and reported your solution would have given long ago.

Anyways, be more observant next time and report correctly.
Sorry sir ,,my only when I remove and connect the battery terminal does the clock and radio settings reset.
Funny , when I kicked the engine and it fails, nothing would work again(like there's no battery, no dashboard lights, no single signal) till I reset the terminal.
