And to the op if you want a decent device for gaming , the plain truth is you can't get a new device for that amount , simply go for an LG device , they tend to have impressive specs for very friendly devices , the likes of lg v30 , LG g7 can be gotten in near pristine condition uk used for around 60+ , I can't sincerely suggest any device around 50 that can play decent games , none even comes to mind , unless you see a nice deal on a xiaomi device , then simply Google the antutu score on the internet for the said device , anything above 200,000 is fine , anything below you best don't try it .

I believe most persons are privy to the ugly issues that reared its head , last week , but I'm glad to announce that twiskenny have come trough and aptly delivered albeit a little compromise on accessories which be has duly promised to compensate me for , I can say I'm really impressed , though he he'll I faced for the 72 hours plus words no fit describe am Hopefully , we'll see better days ahead . And honourable mention , Oga Omicpet who intervened and in his own way assisted and I believe accelerated the entire process , I still they laugh the way the buyer was referring to him as OPYTECH , thanks a lot sir , that's the reason we have y'all and that's why una still they get maximum respect from us .

Irrespective of this bleep up , I believe I can still buy things from oga twiskenny.

The beauty about buying things here is the rest of mind and the assurance that irrespective of what happens you have dependable persons to turn to .

Personally I'll like to see the input of the bosses in this biz , I don't want to call names because it's possible that they've reached out to the disputing parties discreetly ,

But my opinion is this , from a personal experience I had with Joseph that's also in this dispute thread , the phone was with me for over a week ( Samsung s8 ) because I had other engagements and I think I was thinking I had to take the phone to the unlocker to unlock it , but I was later told by cybertek that it could be done remotely which he did and we discovered a MIPI issue .

Initially I tried resolving the issue discreetly but we couldn't , but at the end of the day after messaging some of the bosses here , thanks baba kreamie and bobo65 I believe , I was told to take the issue here and I'll most likely have a fair solution. Joseph being the gentleman that he is later decided to take back the phone and sent me a complete refund .

Now back to the issue at hand , my opinion is this , we can't conclude that wizzy or the end user beyond reasonable doubt , had an accident with the phone , though it's quite suspicious , that the said wizzy guy is viewing this thread without commenting , but I think the end user shouldn't be saddled with the responsibility of dealing with an issue like this himself or alone , I believe all parties can come together and find a viable solution that could be both amicable and mutually beneficial to all , because while the easy solution would be a full refund ( easy to suggest ) but imagine if you were in wildchild shoes ,

the reason why we buy things here is the sense of security and confidence that no matter what happens a viable solution can be found or reached . So lets here what the old G's would say , because like someone mentioned if it was a regular dude , by now we would have had two pages of people unanimously suggesting a full refund and the buyer take his device . Yeah it may seem that way , but two things you have to factor is

1 no one is above mistakes

2 no one set out to make losses in any business or transaction.

If you've dealt with him before you'll most certainly know he's not who you think he is . But notwithstanding issues have been amicably resolved , hopefully the phone will be unlocked and everything will be further resolved peacefully .

And I've noticed a very glaring trend , when issues are brought here some persons tend to be overly hostile and too antagonistic . It's not every body that is fraudulent and yeah I know people change and greed occasionally sets in , but we should learn to approach and address issues with civility .

Irrespective of what others say, I don't fault you entirely , because know no one is perfect, I still trust you and I believe you must have done what you did for reasons you thought would be mutually beneficial or tolerable . I still remember how you went out of your way for my matter , I'm glad you and Wolfenstein resolved the issues amicably . Though others wouldn't understand why deal hunters sometimes sought all this kind of solutions , especially with the thing profits they charge most times just to quickly sell of a deal .
I'll like to give two suggestions generally .

1 there should be a period where certain deals can be refunded if an error or mistake that can be proven unintentional was discovered . This would help deal hunters especially with the apparent slim profit most of them put on items , to save them from the extra headache.

2 then secondly this one applies to all the bosses here
Especially the old G's y'all seem not to understand the level una don reach for this business , y'all should try to get a secretary or anyone you trust that can assist y'all take calls and reply messages almost round the clock . And another thing there should be better organization in your works . You don't expect to have over 20-30 plus TLC deals and not have them itemised in a clear and legible manner. This is my one cent . Because there are certain bosses here that when you message them it will most definitely take them 24 hours to reply you .
I believe y'all can spare 5-10k to get somebody that you trust that can assist you reply your WhatsApp messages and occasionally take some calls this would really help and better your customer relationship.

Businesses with unwritten contracts are deemed very flexible in court and believe me the court is very very linient when it comes to things like this infact even when contracts are written violating them most times do not lead to criminal charges, it leads to fines.

It will be hard for you to press criminal charges on someone because they didn’t deliver on a business deal at the time you guys decided, Nobody is going to jail a business man for not supplying X amount of cements in T amount of time even when it is in a contract, all they can do is give him a fine to pay.

If however you have the IMEI of the phone or any unique identifier and you can prove he sold it to someone else while this could lead to criminal charges his defense would be that he made a mistake, that he buys and sells a lot of phones and maybe mistakenly sold it to someone else which you cannot disprove. Then the court will ask him to return your money with or without a fine. The problem with this is that if someone owes you and you take it to court, the court depending on how competent will ask the person to provide an monthly income statement(which he will obviously write an amount lower that what he makes) the court will then ask him how much he spend on feeding, transport, family etc(which the person will now inflate) they will subtract everything then the amount that remains will be what will be paid to you monthly.

What I’m basically saying is that all they can do is fine him and it will even be in a civil court not a criminal court and he will have to pay the money over time. Where it become criminal is if he says you didn’t give him money or runs away.

It’s unfortunate but that is the truth. The reason we don’t know these things in Nigeria is because any small thing someone will go and call army or police to arrest the person which is illegal. This guy is obviously doing something that is a bad business behavior and the only way you can hit him hard is to demarketize his business by calling him out like people have done here.

You're right Sha , that's the harsh reality of it , anyways I'm hopeful he comes through with his words , because I've already contacted the person who paid for it and he has already listed it on sale . And his buyers are requesting for pictures , he already has someone on standby waiting to go get the item , I'm just praying all goes well

Funny thing is you can’t lock him up or even arrest him because he didn’t chop anybody’s money. He defaulted on the unwritten ethics of deal hunting as regards to the platform he is using which is nairaland outside of that he has done nothing criminal.

It’s just bad business behavior with is morally wrong but not criminal. The only way to curb such behavior is creating a deterrent by banning people who do it or blacklisting them.

The only way you can make him legally liable is if you guys had a written contract and he defaulted then you can sue him or something but for now you can only hurt his business by denying him this platform not himself for bad business behavior.

No offense bro but you need to read a little more or broader , what do you think is consideration for a contract to be deemed valid . And what do you think is the meaning of obtaining by false pretense or misrepresentation . The first is a criminal offense while the second is a civil wrong , depends on how a smart lawyer argue it .
And your WhatsApp chat history can be deemed as valid proof that consideration was furnished by either party , and your exchanges will de deemed as the terms of the contract
Mind you he also provided approximate date of arrival for most items.
The truth is it'll be quite difficult to argue its a criminal offense in most cases but if it's established that the items arrived and he redirected and furnished wrong information then he most definitely has breeched the terms of the contract . Note it's not all contract that must be written and even electronic correspondence can still qualify as a valid contract especially after a party furnished consideration in this case ( payment ) then damage or restitution must be sought .

Because most persons are quiet doesn't mean we no know law. And because we keep calm no mean say we no know the effect a military personnel can go to remedy our situation . But distance and other factors will limit any possible actions people will like to take.

Let me just relax Because he said mine is available , it will be easy for you to say Sha you no wait for more than 6 weeks .
