At least you won't beg anyone, or hope on anyone. Just do anything to survive, cos no one will help you except you.
#bowing out It was 2014 i wrote comment here last, your post is very touching and it remind me of my humble beginning. I applied to only 2 company and i got no reply with my applications. I just pack my certificate and all credentials and send it to my Dad to keep for me. ....I enter street straight I started working with a construction company as a labourer for about 7 months. I am the most educated labour in that company as at the then...Lol Due to my smartness and kind of relationship to the site engineers and other boss in the company, After 7 months as a labour, they gave me job as a safety officer.....Yeah! My BSC is from Mechanical Engineering. The company got another job in a new site and i got transfer to the new site. The engineers at the new site are not smart and they change me to a supervisor. Guess what, I never tender any certificate to any one till date. #Just believe. |

Busybody2: What are you going to "study" there?
Which Country do you expect to be able to use the qualification to work in once you are done?
Malaysia is currently a Country that if you visit, as soon as your plane lands, regardless of how much you are holding, once your identity as a Nigerian has been confirmed, you are immediately transferred to their deportation camp whereby you would be deported within the week JUST FOR THE CRIME OF BEING A NIGERIAN CITIZEN, and forget about being reunited with your luggage or money once you are deposited back to MMA.
A handful of Nigerians are destitute in that Country, and after selling their kidneys, are now living from hand to mouth, hence resorting to robbing supermarkets and violently mugging people on the streets to survive, that it has now become a menace, so unless you are going genuinely as a student, heck even if you are going as a student, as long as you are Nigerian, enter at your own peril Haba Madam! Talk wetin u sabi nah. @OP, You will enjoy Malaysia so much if you are coming to study. Make sure you have a valid visa all through your stay in Malaysia. Don't think of getting any money in Malaysia or maybe a part time job. With $200 every month, you are fine. You can have problem with immigration or police if your visa is not valid again and that is what will lead to arresting and deportation camp. I have stays in Malaysia for more than 3 years now and i am fully enjoying it. The truth is that our nija guys are not helping matter by their various activities. But its not only Nija that is involve in scam or drugs. Chinese, Pakistan, Iran even the Malays, they are all bad people. I don't know why people always tag we nija's as the only bad once here. If you are truly coming to study, you will enjoy your stay and its a very cool country you will enjoy. If you have a valid visa, you can visit other nearby countries like Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and China. When you are here, be very selective in the kind of friends you are going to keep. Dont keep club guys or girls as friends. They will quickly suck the journey for you. Finally, don't come and study language. Make sure you are coming to study good course that will add value to your life. You welcome to Kuala in advance. |

That is bullshit. I am not going to stay in Suriname. I only want to go on visitation. My woman has promise to pay all the money involved in the journey. But with this information, i prefer to stay back. I was once outside nija before, so i know how tough things are outside Nija. Mostly in countries where they don't like we blacks. All the same. Education › Re: When President Jonathan Was A Lecturer... by DaaSlim(m): 9:28pm On Nov 10, 2013 |
chamber2: After reading senseless comments here from people who consider it a hobby to question the academic achievements of the president, i was compelled to respond to this particular idiotic comment.
From the way you write and reason, it is obvious that the president was far more intelligent than you when he was of you level. A man who obtained a first degree at a time when few Nigerians had the priviledge of acquiring western education, and consequently went on to obtain a PHD is being ridiculed by senseless youth like yourself.
A closer look at the president's CV will reveal that he obtained his PHD after he must have left the ivory tower. He taught between 1983-93,probably with a masters degree and then went on to obtain a PHD due to his love for learning. GEJ was never a professional academics even though he had brief sojourn in the academic world.
We as youth should be critical in our thinking and not join the bandwagon so as to score cheap political points or to appear smart by our e-friends.
GEJ remains one of the most educated (if not the most educated) Nigerian presidents when judged from the standpoint of academic achievements. He may obviously be underperforming as a president but that is a reflection of long periods of neglect, corruption and ineptitude of his predecessors and the ''i don't care'' attitudes of many Nigerians.
I'm not trying to exonerate GEJ, however we should pay more attention to his leadership philosophy and lay lesser emphasis on his academic achievements.
Till date no one has come out to question GEJ's ability as lecturer and staff of various organisations which he was under their employ. That goes to show that he was a dedicated, focused and resourceful individual. His sojourn into politics is a different ballgame. One may be successful as a professional in his field of calling but may fail in politics. Various instances abound.
I'm sure most of you here are still undergraduates who probably may not know the rigors one undergoes to obtain additional qualification. The mental, emotional, financial and psychological trauma can be overwhelming. So kudos should be given to GEJ for attaining such enviable academic pedigree.
So, i would advise these e-hunters to concentrate more on how they can make Nigeria better as individuals rather than dissipate energy on the achievements of others. Afterall, GEJ has done himself, family, friends and Nigerians alot of good. Wetin dis one dey talk now? Give us link or references to see his thesis or works on internet. You are here saying kati-kati. are u a learner? Abeg pack well jor. |

bilms: Almustapha for President in 2015 Rally Holds in Kaduna
Chief Security Officer to late General Sani Abacha yesterday turned his visit to Kaduna state into a 2015 campaign speeches.
Al-Mustapha, who had been in detention for nearly 15 years, was acquitted by the Court of Appeal Lagos recently over the killing of Kudirat, wife of M.K.O Abiola, the presumed winner of 1913 presidential election.
Major Al-Mustapha, arrived Kaduna state metropolis from Zaria where he paid a visit to the Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris around 2.10pm.
Hundreds of youths trooped out to receive him and chanted , “ 2015: Major Al-Mustapha for president.”
Al-Mustapha seized the moment and responding to the youths under the umbrella of Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) said: “For those of you that believe there is hopelessness in the country, we must all team up to make the direction for change. You may not understand now but when the direction is defined, when the rail is laid you will know it.
“I was told that when I was released in Lagos, youths in Kaduna, Kano and other parts of the North trooped out to celebrate my release. Those in the south also did same, because I was told. I thought I was forgotten but this has shown me that you love me and I love you all.
According to him, his release was a victory for democracy and that he would meet with all youth bodies and organisations in both North and South in order to chart a new course.
In his address, the National President of AYF, Comrade Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu said the situation they found themselves in was unfortunate and that they will change the norm at all cost.
Speaking when he received the former CSO in his residence; Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Gumi urged him to see his incarceration as the will of Allah and that he should forgive all those that played role in it.
“It is indeed a happy day for us and as he said it is a big plus to democracy and judiciary in Nigeria. We have come of age where no innocent person should be incarcerated for no reason. We pray Allah will give peace to our nation and for everybody to live in peace and in a peaceful environment.
