I'm not a fan of D'Banj, but as an avid TEDTalk listener, I must say that it's no mean feat to speak on that platform, so he must have deserved it. More so, I commend his effort and initiative in using his music and popularity as a springboard to positively raise such an awareness. Kudos to him.

RomanceRe: 13 Advantages Of Virginity by DaBeaver(m): 9:04am On Sep 24, 2014
Honestly, methinks people that claim they wouldn't want to marry a virgin are saying that because they aren't virgins themselves and therefore wouldn't want to raise their hopes/demands too high.

I got married as a virgin, to a virgin. Our joys know no bounds!

EbolaParasite: It is common knowledge that frequent flier mile customers are upgraded if economy is overbooked. I know this. What I questioned was the upgrade from economy to first class on the Iberia flight (international flight). I stand to be corrected but they will upgrade you from econony to business and not straight to first class. A lot of people do not know the difference between first and business class. As an example, they do not offer first class on United and Delta flights to and fro Nigeria. What they offer is business. With regards to your domestic upgrade, that is more or less business class. Local delta and united flights dont count as first class because it is business and they merely coin it first to make you feel good
First of all, I said it was Emirates, not Iberia. Honestly, I do not know the exact criteria for the upgrade, but the much I know is that it happened twice, (it was a multiple destination flight) and one of the times I sat right behind the cockpit, and it was first class. #PurelyGrace

RomanceRe: 10 Funny Signs You're An Introvert by DaBeaver(m): 10:23pm On Aug 31, 2013
3. Great speaker, fearful mingler
You may not be shy...infact, you can give a great speech in front of 500 people but mingling with them one-on-one afterwards is not much of a huge problem.

4. You hate idle chatter
You can be in a room with room mates with them discussing on a topic without necessarily making a contribution...you hate small talk not because you hate people but because they seem meaningless to you.

5. You are self conscious
Since you are not doing most of the talking, you are doing most of the observing and hence, assume that everyone is observing you in the same way...judging the way you speak, your accent etc....whereas, they might not necessarily be doing so,

8. You've been accused severally of not keeping in touch
The funny part is that you cannot fathom why someone who called you three days back would call you and say something like; "You have forgotten me abi..."and you're like, "Are we supposed to be talking everyday"?....you also do not like midnight, except its utterly the last resort. For you, it's too much time to waste on "nonsense talk".
You screen all your calls and you may not pick up your phone even from people you like only to call them back as soon as you’re mentally prepared and have gathered the energy for the conversation.

10. Friends made you and not the other way round
Check out the list of your closest and distant friends and you'd realize that they made more efforts at being your friend than you did at the initial stage before you settled into the friendship.

Now I know why people often complain that I don't call undecided I like my life jare. smiley

Super1759: Must your ex be an enemy that you call names? What's all this childish acts?
The person is your ex because you two aint meant to be. You learn the lesson and move on. My ex remains my best friend till date, she is married,I have another girl. She seeks my opinion in some issues and most times I still tell about some personal things.

You must not date 50guys to learn lessons.
Thanks for this comment. I dunno why ex's are always seen in bad light. I've had just three ex's in my entire life (I'll be getting married soon) and they are all my friends till date, as a matter of fact, the first of them is my best friend and confidant. I still go on casual dates with them, as often as work schedule allows, and we still share and give sincere advice. Maybe I've been fortunate and blessed; maybe y'all complaining have just been unlucky, but I have no reason to absolutely bad-mouth any of my ex's because they made me the better man that I am today for my fiancee!

Christianity EtcRe: What Has Been Your Unique Experience With Long Fasting? by DaBeaver(m): 1:58pm On Nov 14, 2012
The most challenging fast I've done was about 3years ago. I went on "liquid only" for 8 days. It wasn't easy considering that I was going to work and having to be in church after work to pray for hours. It was a spiritual renewal/rejuvenation time for me, but my body sef heard "whiiiin", cuz by the 7th day my legs were literally shaking at work. Anyway, I'll relive that experience sometime soon.

On a funny note, a friend eagerly kicked off a "liquid only" fast, and after a few days of facing the reality of the exercise, his liquid metamorphosed into semi-liquid as he started taking pap. Lol.
Christianity EtcRe: All GO's & Religious Leaders Must Go To Prison — Pastor Tunde Bakare by DaBeaver(m): 12:45pm On Nov 13, 2012
Lovine: He should remove pastor W.F Kumuyi's name from that list!!! I have never met any pastor as upright as that man in Nigeria!!!

What about the doctrine of his church? Do you know that his clients (members are slaves? Don't do this and that, only church committee will choose wife or husband for you, etc. Kumuyi is a fake Pastor whether Jets or not, still the richest pastor
Not meaning to trade words with you, but have you wondered why nobody has liked Ur post? The fact that U can type a few words suggests that you are educated, but then, permit me to say that you haven't demonstrated any sign of being educated at all. Which of your friends or family members or anyone you know has EVER told you that a church committee chose a spouse for them? The so-called "slaves" in the church are adults who have chosen to live a modest Christian life, and I think they deserve some respect. I worship and serve God, and I have a very few number of Ministers that I respect and see as true SERVANTS (may the import of the capitalization not be lost on you) of God, and Pastor Kumuyi is one of them. I don't need to be a member of his church to know this.

Yes you can work 20hrs during school term and full time during the holidays
Thanks for your response, but you weren't very clear on if you think that amount will sustain me. As it is, I have already chosen the school, and it is in West London, so? Thanks.

@Justwise; thanks for your insightful responses. Lemme just hit U up straight with my challenge. I'm supposed to be studying in the UK this September in a school in West London and my tuition is almost GBP14,000. All I have is about GBP22,500. How well do you think I'll fare for a year (feeding and accommodation, basically)? Would it be cheaper/better for me to opt for hostel or off-campus accommodation? Also, I know this might sound like a redundant question, but with the new law in place, won't i be able to work at all (reason being that I wouldn't like to call home for money throughout my stay). Thanks.

TravelRe: Aero Contractor Plane Misses Runway At Uyo Airport by DaBeaver(m): 2:43pm On Jun 08, 2012
It seems many don't know what it means by " missing runway" during a bad weather. At any landing, visibility to runway MUST NOT be less than 300 meter, that is the standard for all plane during landing. If the visibility is less, the Plane will be forced to try another approach for landing, which is known as missing the initial run way. This happen a lot during both foggy hamattan, snow and raining season.
I just wonder why press is making stories from a normal procedure.
Are you saying plane should crash land during bad weather?
johnwell: ... This is the most ridiculous thread I've ever seen on NL. It's a lie, senseless & ... I was there at the airport, The airline did not miss the runway, it was raining and the run way was a bit floaded, the aero contractor chief-pilot abort the landing and landed at the nearby calabar airport which the control tower can be viewed from the uyo control tower. After the rain he came back and landed safely. "Fake sahara reporters" mschew
@Johnwell: Mr. JOHN, please do WELL to enlighten yourself by reading the quoted post above. The fact that you were physically there apparently doesn't make you any better informed than others.
TravelRe: Aero Contractor Plane Misses Runway At Uyo Airport by DaBeaver(m):
temmytanny: I DONT think shoul be carried away by this story. Was it engine, mechanical fault that caused the mishap or heavy rain storm. If its rain storm,it can happen to any airline any where in the world, because of poor visibility of the run way by the cabin crew.I am not trying to support AERO but we should be careful about propaganda stories now. If not for DANA,no body would have heard the story of AIRNIGERIA flying dead planes. Funny enough the story came from someone who has worked for them since they started operations. why didnt he complain why he was working for them? NOw that he is sacked and wanted for stealing,he remembers that they are flying dead planes.
Even the airlines with best most recent aircraft had issues while i flew it somedays ago. We had to wait for an hour in another country for it to be fixed before we could embark on our journey.

IF YOU ARE A FREQUENT TRAVELER ,YOUR LIFE IS IN THE HANDS OF GOD AND NOT THE MEN FLYING THOSE PLANES EVEN THE DRIVERS ON OUR ROADS. ALL WEE NEED IS PRAYERS AND SAFE JOURNEY.
I quite agree with everything you said but the part in bold; did you miss the part of the original story that said he RESIGNED?
EducationRe: Babcock Won't Let My Sis Graduate Despite CGPA Of 4.3 by DaBeaver(m): 5:08pm On May 28, 2012
I graduated from the same school years ago, and incidentally studied the same course as your sister. New Horizon started with my set and the courses were included in our course forms, AND it was a requirement for graduation, my dear. Considering that New Horizon courses were the easiest of all our courses to pass, you know with all the available dumps that made over 20% of us score 100% in the final exam, I am forced to wonder why your sister got as low as 40%, even with such a high CGPA. U can't slug it out with the school, really, even your sister knows that passing the course, which I guess will be Oracle 11g, is a criterion for graduation, except the school decides to be merciful.

CareerRe: Are Second Class Lower Graduates Still Relevant In Our Society? by DaBeaver(m): 10:24am On Sep 08, 2011
(First Post on NL)

Ajanlekoko, U rightly hit the nail on the head, GBAM! I am a good example of a 2:2 graduate that 2:1's look up to and wish to be like. I graduated in 2008 with a 2:2, not because I wasn't a good student (as a matter of fact, some colleagues and lecturers were shocked on graduation day to know that I made a mere 2:2), but because my grades got toyed with (fact!) and I didn't take it up with those behind it on time. Well, to cut the long story short, I believed in myself (and still do) and told myself that I can only be limited by my grades IF I ever decide to be. Well, needless to say, God has been extremely faithful to me; I served in an oil servicing coy and got retained there after service (mind U, the coy hardly retained corps members, but God helping me, I proved my worth). After a year of being there, I got a better offer from another coy within the sector and advanced, AND, just within a year of being here, I'm waiting for my appointment letter from a bigger establishment that I have long dreamt of working with!

My point here is simple; Regardless of Ur class of degree, (in the words of Socrates) KNOW THYSELF! Believe in yourself! Invest in yourself! Develop yourself! Know where you are and where you are going! It is said that the world has a way of making way for the man who knows where he is going.
Of course, needless to say, KNOW THY GOD!
