RomanceRe: Will You Attend the Wedding of your Ex-lover Who Dumped You? by dablessed(f): 8:40pm On Jun 21, 2005
An ex that ditched me? Hmmm! Attending his wedding will depend on a number of things:

1. Time interval between when we parted and the wedding - time they say, heal wounds. I do not really see me attending my ex's wedding 2 wks after he ditched me. The healing process varies from individual to individual so what could take you 2wks to get over, could take another one month.

2 How the relationship was called off and the circumstances surrounding same.

3 The extent of our relationship! If the guy had proposed and wedding plans were already in place, friends and family had been informed and all hands were on deck for the wedding and suddenly....... what on earth are my doing there? Not attending doesn't mean i do not wish him well! The best i can do is call him up and wish him a blissful marriage.

Having said all, i do not pray to be the reference point in this kind of scenario but if my ex ditched me,cry cry cry cry I just must forgive him, yes its hard but its possible. Everyone must covet the spirit of forgiveness as there may be times when ur loved ones would hurt you (either deliberately or otherwise). Then, i'd move on in life! Nothing should prevent you from moving on in life after a major dissapointment or disaster!

Which brings me back to our popular topic in the forum: "Keep Yourself chaste" You can imagine how much more painful it would be if the guy had slept with me a million and one times? I would certainly feel used wouldn't i?

Codec, this is just BULL. What kind of favor? Ehn? Nothing resents a woman more than this ok? U will never ever woo a woman!

RomanceRe: Wooing (Toasting) a Lady by dablessed(f): 11:59pm On Jun 20, 2005
I always say a prayer: Lord, make me a successful woman but make my husband much more successful and I think every woman should cultivate the habit of doing same.

The man should be the head in all respect. When the reverse is the case, there is a problem. Men don't function properly when the woman is the breadwinner- there is something called the ego of a man! It contributes to the total make up of a man and if is shattered in any way, there is bound to be trouble.

Hi folks, i was just wondering - would u go our with someone about 20yrs older? If yes, how do u intend to manage the relationship? If u're in an existing relationship and ur spouse is at least 10 yrs older, pls lets have ur contribution.

I went for a walk about half an hour ago and was approached by an old man- as in old enough to be my dad. Here goes our 2-minute conversation:

Old man: 'hello'

dablessed: Hi

Old man: Nigerian?

DB: yep

OM: Ok, r u ok?

DB: {walking away} yep thanks

OM: Pls wait, i just like u and would want u to be my friend.

DB: {Laughing} but u're old enough to be my dad

OM: It doesnt really matter, i promise to take care of you, at least better than all those youngsters.

DB: {laughing} Oh! it does matter to me SIR! Bye

OM: Byeee!
