No, I can't date my ex-lover's sister. what sister in her right mind will do such a thing? At some point, my ex and I have had feelings for each other, shared special moments together and all....all of a sudden I'm trying to experience the same thing with my ex's sister? In the event that it does happen, I know the relationship with my ex's sister won't lead to anything serious.
God bless you! You said it all!

In my opinion, it is absolutely wrong to date a married man/woman.

I for one, will never ever do it!

I urge you not to!

Seun,

The very reason why your ex dropped you, is the same reason you will be chucked by his/her sibling. I seriously doubt if such a relationship will last.

Motee:
What is life at 30 when you are not married?

When you are single at the age of 30 years and you are a lady, there are pressures from almost everyone around you.

I believe life at 30 and still single can still be the best time one desires but relating it to different aspect of achievement, career et cetera, what should it entail?
I'm 29, even though i desire to have found my ideal man before I clock 30.

Really there are pressures left right and centre when you are still single at 30.

My advice is: Enjoy the best of it. Do not make the wrong choice all in the name of "oh I'm 30 and not married'. You can choose to be a happy single or a miserable one. Remember you have the power of choice in your hands.

Choose to be a happy 30+ single.

I do not think anyone in their right sences should do such.

I have not said it is right or wrong to go out with your ex's sibling. But if you have to do it, then we must examine your state of mind and conclude you  certainly need to visit a psychiatric doctor. grin

Motee,

In my opinion, if a man is truely in love with me, or better still - madly in love with me, he wont sleep with me before marrying me.
Deblessed, what about a situation where the lady wants sex during courtship, though I don't really believe in sex before marriage, but it will depend on the partners in the relationship, love is understanding, if they understand themselves in the issue of sex its a different case rather than one of the partner asking for it.
Bolasho,

In a situation where the lady wants sex while the guy believes its not right, the guy has got to stand his ground - afterall he is a man. He must not give in to the woman.Which is why you must take time to really know the other person's view on premarital sex before moving on to  courtship.

I advice pple to find out the other person's opinion on premarital sex as early as possible in the relationship. This will prevent problems later on in the relationship.

Hope this helps.

Ehn! It must have been a real emotional movie.

Any way! Real men should cry. The Bible says: " Jesus Wept" - and remember too that he did it in public. So if Jesus could weep - give me a reason why you shouldnt and even in public.

If I decide to cry in public who's going to console me?  So when I want to cry, I cry in the relative safety of my room.

But there was a day I was shedding tears due to a kid's video they were showing in the premises of a primary school.  It brought back memories from when I was younger, and the tears started rolling out and there was nowhere for me to hide.  So I was just standing there stoically with tears running down my face.  I hope the people around thought it was an allerg or something, because they didn't ask me about it!
Then, You were a minor child Seun - thats allowed.

I'm talking about crying as a full blown adult man!

Why cant you depend on your man financially? That, i think is pride.

Remember, men want to be in charge! If you wont allow your man to spend on you, he will spend on an outsider - which would you rather prefer?

You could be working, have a career, contribute financially in the home and still depend on your "man"

Men want to prove they are the men in the home - abeg allow them o! Otherwise na you go lose.

Veira,

If u can do it privately, what stops you from doing it publicly?

You didnt answer some of the questions though! Have you cried before as an adult and what triggered it off?
Nairaland GeneralDo Real Men Cry? by dablessed(op): 9:24am On Jul 01, 2005
Hi guys!

Its been said that real men don't cry! To what extent do you agree with this?

As an adult man, do you cry or have you cried before? When and what triggered off your "tears hormones"

I feel romantic men cry - can't really see the correlation between "romance" and "shedding tears"; it's just a personal opinion.

Let's hear from you.

Hey! Hey! Hey! Boyz and  Gurls, you do not need to consult a soothsayer for you to know that your "date" is in love with you.

The fruits of the relationship will say it all.

Does he/she like to spend time with you? Always ever want to be alone with you?

Do you think he/she is proud of you? In the midst of friends, colleagues and family?

How often does he take you out on dates?

Do you receive gifts? Or is it always a case of " sebi you und'stand?

Do you receive friendship cards? Roses? Chocolates? Or is he/she the unromantic type? ( too bad )

How often do you receive SMS's, phone calls, e-mail?

Do you think he/she is comfortable with your person?

How does he/she correct you? Harshly or otherwise?

How does he/she address you ? Both when you're alone and in public?

Do you think there is mutual respect?

Is he aware of some basic courtesy in treating a lady I.e "opening the car door for you", " helping you up after a dinner date and talking in the seat while you step out in style?",

Does he/she actually say " I love you" on a daily basis?

Does he/she admire you? And actually say it?

Do you dance together? Go to the movies? Window shopping? Etc.

Does he/she hold your hands?

Is pre-marital sex perfectly under control?

Honestly, the list is endless but any body would know if the other person is in love - you do not even have to be too intelligent grin
FamilyRe: Housewife or Working Woman? by dablessed(f): 6:21pm On Jun 30, 2005
Housewifery used to be a thing of the past. In the days of old, the only thing men knew how to do best was turn thier wives into baby making equipment - a lot of women really wanted to be identified as somebody else apart from Junior's mum or 'Wilson's wife'.

But thank God for the now. Any man who wants a full-time housewife is certainly living in the past.

Whether or not you want your wife to be an employee or be involved in a family business is entirely up to the two of you. However, no woman should be forced to give up her career for a family business, men take note of this. In as much as its a family business, the decision to actually resign from employment to participate in such should be respected.

I do not agree with you. How do you intend to be another person's companion when you have not taken time to know if you have things in common? Dont you think it could be disastrous?

If you understand what it means to accept God into your life and actually do so, then you'll be able to exhibit what true love really is.

when you are faced with a real life situation, in most cases, what you think you'll do is different from what you'll actually do. That being said, I would not marry a person with a son from a previous relationship... keeping up with a relationship is hard enough. What happens if I discipline the boy and the mother feels I'm mistreating her son because I'm not the biological father. It'll definitely cause friction in the relationship.
Babadudu,

U dey hard small o! Haba!

How about if u really love the babe? U mean u'll let go?

Ok Nairalanders how about if the other person is a widower/widow? Will u still go ahead? Bear in mind that u love him/her so much.

It appears there are more pple who cant swim.

Shall i organise a swimming tuition for all and sundry? Lessons would range from beginners through intermediate to advanced

The amount of response will determine whether or not its worth the trouble.

Let me know what u think.
