mufutau55:Thanks for your contribution. Since "availability of funds" (Efficient Economy) is what led the poster to request for more information on type of Roof to chose, l will focus more on how he can achieve his aim (efficient and low cost Roof) while still getting "value for money" that is, without all the possible downside of Flat Roof. 1.) Water runs down a SLOPE and the rate at which it will run down, depends on the GRADIENT of the Slope. This gradient, is also a factor in the "high cost" of Heaped Roof. so, we must strike a balance, whereby we enjoy the "benefit of gradient" of a Heap Roof (quick run-off), enjoy the benefit of a Flat Roof (low cost) and avoid the "negatives" of the Flat Roof (Clogging, Leakage and ineffective drainage IFF not properly done) 2.) There is a minimum slope to which the flat Roof must be tilted, that gurrantees minimum cost and most effective drainage slope. This slope is "optimum angle" tha will ensure that you get the benefit of a heaped Roof and the benefit (minus the disadvantages) of a Flat Roof. So Bro, let your Roof tilt at an Angle of between 45^ and 38^ (between 45-degrees and 38-degrees). This will ensure that the water does not stay long enough to allow any form of clogging, rustiness due to water retention, ineffective drainage which leads to leakage (all this grammar sef! )I think (?) @Egunmogaji used a flat roof and his Roofing could be a standard you can copy. *Flat roof also has Attic space that you can convert for usage, just like Heaped roof (You just get like 60% of the space) *Heaped Roof does not have a longer life span that Flat Roof that is properly tilted. *In-fact, all the advantages of a heaped Roof are also applicable to a properly done Flat Roof! Just think of a Flat Roof, as a half-Section of a heaped Roof Caveat: Please understand that a Flat Roof is more prone t )o being blown off-and-away IFF NOT TIED DOWN PROPERLY using those Flexible, Flat binders (I dont know the English name for it but my people call it Oja'agba. You MUST tie it down properly, from the planks that lay on the Blockwork, to those that act as trusses. Nail and tie everything down properly please. The 'windstorms; of today are not as friendly as those of years gone-by. They dont smile at all. ![]() |
Sprumbabafather:Go to ABA and count how many IDP Camps are operational there. ![]() |

aputel:Just dey look, Saraki and his criminals in the Senate would soon pass law to grant him AMNESTY! The countenance of the man shows that he is not even worried at all. |
enemyofprogress:Its no joke! Even when you hear people saying they are doing "Saaraah" ...cook food and share to everybody who cares about awoof food! Should you not wonder: Why would someone just wake-up one day, especially someone not very rich, to decide to cook and share awoof food for everyone present, known and unknown (and please note that their own family members may not even eat put of the food!) Do you pause and ask yourself: whats in it for them? Truth is, they do it for diabolical reasons that benefit them while putting those people who like to eat awoof, in jeopardy. I cannot go into too much details here (of what benefit?) but l can only advice people to be very careful about this "free food" they eat. Na wetin Rat like to chop, dem dey take do Rat-poison naah. I pray none of us will eat our destiny away or use our days to prolong the days of another 'should have died' wicked man. ![]() |
Sprumbabafather:Nnyamirin people and Awoof! ![]() That is why they all end-up dead in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore or India ![]() Someone told me that Clifford Orji is even an Ibadan man! |
Sprumbabafather:Now, A'yaf understand! There is no money to be made in all the Southeast and you have to ride attachee seats all the way to Ibadan to make money! ![]() God bless Ibadan people for helping another flatron-Refugee who would have ended-up dead in Libya or the Mediterranean. |
Sprumbabafather:Eeehn! No wonder all your lineage have immigrated from your farmished and erosion-ridden Nnyamirin-land and come to settle in the South West! I guess being refugees is in your DNA! ![]() Welcome to Ibadan, Okechukwu. ![]() |
enemyofprogress:Those feigned death are RITUALS used to prolong the life of the person rumoured to be dead. He shaves-off a few years (and adds it ot his own), from the life of each person who ate at his presumed burial....the food is usually prepared with a little "ritual water" added to it. Awoof dey run belle .....but my people think there is "free lunch" in freetown! |
patochuba:No wonder you are still the crap you are today! Blood Money never produces anything good. ![]() |
Sprumbabafather:IDP Camps are in the North East,, Mr. Galla Seller! I heard it has stopped your Blooders from inserting DRUGS into their Anus and using the proceeds to develop Malaysia, Thailand and India! ![]() As for your Erosion-ridden Southeast, you are all washed-away. ![]() One Niijeria! ![]() |
Sprumbabafather:At least, we didn't have to look at them on a wheel chair, impotent and scaring little children like a scarecrow! BTW, what is he doing with that Celestial Church garment on his neck? I never knew that Ibo people sef don dey rush enter Cele when the challenges of their past Evil deeds catches up with them. ![]() Upon all his "Gra-Gra while alive", he is not even bold enough to call it quits like brave men do! Nnyamirin people and chest-beating ehn! When it comes to "acting real brave", they just start looking for excuse and ask for Referendum! ![]() |
Sprumbabafather:You are a stark illiterate! Dont dabble into anything else other than selling Galla is slow-moving traffic. Go and ask your elders that managed to finish pry Six, on how the UPN transited, aligned and transformed to the present day APC. Unfortunately, 5% cant win you any elections in Nigeria. ![]() |

miraclea:It is ALWAYS an Ibo Man, that is used for such Evil Acts. Why ALWAYS Ibo Man? ....and they will be wondering why they cant ever make progress politically? |
Sprumbabafather:And look at him now, .....looking like a Weasel! ![]() Better dead in a dignified manner, than suffer endlessly like this. Be like say Celestial church sef nor fit "eep am" Anyway, the WICKED shall receive their punishment in full, even before they leave this mother Earth. ![]() |
EasyWork001:What is wrong with this mow.ron ranting like a deranged rabbit? The above person cant even interpret simple English statement! Sowore's SR is right 90% of the time and the 10% time is he wrong is not because he is really wrong but because the 'criminal actors' are smart enough to move the goal-post and outwit him, making them look like they are innocent. Ofcourse, the looting criminals in Nigeria make a lot of sensational, news story. Anyway, you can keep foaming in the mouth all day long, it changes nothing. |
honourhim:All your "reasons" above are based solely on one thing: ECONOMICS of SURVIVAL. All you need do, to gauge the level of hatred Ibos have for other Nigerians, especially Yorubas, is READ COMMENTS on this Nairaland (because it is done anonymously, they can afford to say exactly how they feel). Ibos naturally, seems to be angry and hateful people (maybe the war has an impact in such disposition), just like they are naturally greedy and aggressive. Notice that for the Ibo man, its all about boasting, shouting and fighting. On the other hand, Yorubas are generally cunning, sharp-witted and thoughtful, reason they wont quickly go into a brawl with anyone but will still achieve what others desire to achieve through brawling. Let us stop behaving like the Ostrich that buries its head in the sand, thinking it is hiding! The earlier we recognise the "problem" and find a way to deal with it, the better for all of us. The Ibos, over generations, have been told the "false narrative" that the Yorubas caused their loss in the Civil war and prevented them from forming Biafra but what their old parents fail to tell them are: 1.) the Yorubas were not ready for war (if they ever are!) at that time because all the Military Garrisons in Western Nigeria are manned by Northern officers and Soldiers. To wage war at "that point" when Ojukwu wanted it, would have been worse than the suicide that Ojukwu led Ibos into, within 1967-1969. Ojukwu was advised of this by Awolowo, but he chose to ignore it, while expecting Awolowo to back him up in his suicide mission. ![]() 2.) While Yorubas generally did not participate "physically" in the war at the earlier stage (trying to play "neutral" as far as possible), they only felt provoked into the war and participated openly and physically, when Ojukwu, in his own wisdom, decided that it is better for the Biafran troops to attack Southwards towards Lagos (attempting to annihilate Yoruba lands in the process!) than to face the Northerners who are the ones attacking him. Maybe he took the docility of the Yorubas for Cowardice (as is always the case even till today!) or it was just plain miscalculation. Ojukwu's Baifra attacked as far as Oore, a boundary town between Benin and Ijebu ode! The Yorubas had no other choice than to defend their land, just as any Ibo will do, if faced with the same options. Thus, the Biafrans were forces into a retreat as far as Onitsha and other "options" taken by Yorubas at that point dealt the final blow on Biafran military adventure and eventual surrender. If Yoruba towns were not raided by Baifran Soldiers, Yorubas will simply have kept turning a blind eye and let the Ibos sort it out with the Yorubas. Remember that the Yorubas were also not too happy with what was going-on back then, but the Ibo leader chose to wage war (without an accurate appraisal of his chances, very Ibo-like, l would say), the Yorubas as usual, took a "calculated and foresight approach" and made the rigth decision, back then, based on available options. So, to blame their loss on the Yorubas is just plain mischief. Ibos must disabuse the minds of their children and stop feeding them with false hatred. Finally, Yorubas are adjudged the most peaceful tribe in Nigeria hence, it is only in Yorubaland that you will find both Hausas and Igbos living without any form of hindrance. Hardly will you find a Yoruba occupying any significant "local post" in Ibo land. To buy property their sef, na waar! Ibos love to live in other's people's land but are not that welcoming to others. if "others" are allowed to live freely in your own enclave and have significant properties there, that means you have a 'leverage' over them, when it comes to a "hostage negotiation" situation. ![]() When people have nothing to lose from living your lands, then living will be a piece of cake, while you cant your own loses. Think about that for a minute. Welcoming others and making them feel welcomed, is not an act of foolishness, as the Ibos always want Yorubas to think. As for Nnamdi Kanu, l think some people should explain to him that coming to Lagos as a "show of force" will create more hatred for him and his IPOBS. he will be resisted, by all means possible, even extreme means is not left out. Unless Ibos want to declare another war in Lagos. When someone loves you, you will know and dont need to be told so...and vice-versa. Generally, Ibos hate Yorubas and Yorubas dont love Ibos. Unfortunately, a "workable Biafra" is not achievable without the cooperation of the Yorubas Its as simple as that. |
Nma27:No, they are just too smart to be outplayed by any one who thinks he or she is smart! They are just way too smart with money (bing traders/business men) thus, the reason they are one of the richest (if not the richest) single tribe in Nigeria. Anyone who takes acre and respect money like the Ijebus, is bound to be rich in the long run. And their jazz nor get part 2. ![]() |
EgunMogaji:Eegun, Sowore is a business man and his wealth is in his business, something he has not denied. But personally, his bank statements (which is standard proof in a law court) with his tax clearance are enough to prove his cash worth. What is the "hype" you are referring or alluding to? Sowore is not trying to appear "poor" because anyone who own such Media outfit with world-wide attention cannot even pretend to be anything near poor! All he 'was doing or did', was to puncture the lies of Saraki and his hirelings, that he (Sowore) has a cash bank balance of over a million Dollars in BOA, where they used a photoshopped bank statement. Now, anyone with contrary evidence should please table it for all of us to see. |
goldedprince:Your stewpidity is beyond stupid. And l love the way you state it so 'boldy'! ![]() Really, dudes like you (am sure from the South East), need a brain transplant. Emeka will not go to school, he prefers to carry drugs and use the proceed to import fake products from China....and he still thinks he has earned the right to make comments online becaus ehe could afford a phone and some free data! Cheesux christi! ![]() BTW: Go and carry an SS1 Economics Textbook like Teriba, and read about Sole Trader and Ltd Companies! ![]() Ooponu, sugomu! ![]() |
gameboyo:I guess you are a "LiePOB", as usual, bereft of ideas or any form of intelligence! Obviously, you have never been to school otherwise you would be able to differentiate between a PERSONAL bank account (which is where Sowore will keep his own personal money) and a CORPORATE Account (which is where Sahara Reporters money, as a corporate organisation/entity, used to run the business and pay staff salary, is kept). Go to school, you these children of Anger and hate will not go but you will come to Nairaland to espouse your ignorance while chest-beating and shouting aggressively, while at it !! ![]() Just Negodu, next time, you hear? ![]() |
MrReloaded:Haaa! You want to xpose that criminal? - Is it the account he and his father used in looting Savanah bank that you want him to publish? - Is it the one he used in looting the treasury of Kwara state and paying himself "pension of #40Million monthly", you want him to publish? - Is it the account that he used in collecting tax payer's money and appropriating mega-allowances to himself and fellow thieves in the Senate? - Or is it the account he used in looting the money that Buahri approved to states (Paris Refund) so they can pay owed salaries and pension-arrears that Saraki, Fayose and other governors have looted, while the Pensioners are dying daily of poverty? Hmmm.... please dont even think about it. The hottest part on hell is reserved for people like Saraki but right now, he thinks he is untouchable. |
NigelCundy:I guess it is your phatom Biafra they should be defending? 5% Brainless kunt. |
