papaejima1: Uda possibly. Even in his inebriated state, he was sober enough to ensure you and yours fed on three square meals daily, petrol was affordable, rice within the reach of everyone and not just the elite etc. Now compare and contrast with your ascetic and teetotaling oga who ensured he took all that the drunkard gave you and used it to import grass for his cows to the extent that even chickens now skip meals. don't play dumb, it was within the comfort of the oil boom. A lot of countries who had the opportunity invested in positive lucrative projects and research facilities in the time of plenty while your "hero" couldn't stay sober to think about Nigeria's future instead waited until 6 weeks to elections. If he'd been competent , his reelection would be unopposed |

somegirl1: You can't use a reference unless you have access to it. You must have read it yourself, unless it's common knowledge. Because, the wikipedia or other article could have cited/ quoted it out of context which the rest of the paragraph or chapter would expose.
So screenshots or a google books link would be helpful. Thanks in advance. so I can't reference da Vinci's works? |

somegirl1: First thing you learn in university is that you don't reference Wikipedia. Rather you find, read and reference the article/ publication cited in Wikipedia. OK, ma Griffin, "French military policy in the Nigerian Civil War" (2015), p. 122. "De Gaulle made the decision to begin regular French arms shipments to Biafra on 17 or 18 October 1967. De Gaulle was very reluctant to send weapons from French stocks, and only agreed when Foccart suggested sending captured German and Italian weapons from World War II with the serial number scratched off. The weapons would not be sent directly to Ojukwu, but would go through Houphouët-Boigny, so that it looked like France was replenishing the Ivory Coast's stocks as stipulated in the normal bilateral military assistance agreements." |

Marcelini: France was forced by Britain to stop whatever meagre support she was rendering to Biafra, very early during the war campaign. Biafra was left to fend for herself, and hence had to start thinking outside the box to provide her own weapons. you mean all those relics that was repainted in biafran flag are meagre? No wonder they lost. |
