Rewinding back to 2014, when travelled from Abuja to Ibadan for my cousins sister's wedding. Amongst my Dad, Mum, and my Siblings, I was the only one that attended the wedding. The Reason is, who don't know what future will bring. Tomorrow may be my own turn and i will invite them and they will gladly come.

One the day of the wedding, i will treated different among all my entire family and relatives. Many snub me and pretended not to know me because my parent were not there. I was crestfallen with the way i was treated. Was expecting embracement from my Uncles and other relatives that i know well, but unfortunately everyone ignored my presence. They made me regret travelling down for the wedding as i sat alone in discomfort pressing my phone.

I was even shy to eat order or receive food from the waiters going around with tray of plates of food. I stay without eating in the event without no one even noticing i didn't eat even when i was yawning heavily. "I am doomed", I told myself as bend my head down to the ground.

"I left my startimes decoder marketing job to attend a wedding that i felt i should be appreciated for coming and this is happening. Seems my parents right for not coming." I asked myself furiously.

After the event that day, i went together with the Bride's parent and some guest, in their sienna car to their house in Ibadan.

On our way, the Bride's father, who is also my uncle and a Custom Officer, started interrogating me. "Why were you the only one that came for the wedding among your family, where are your parents?" He asked. "They are at home in Abuja." I replied as i answered him with fright.
"Your presence mean nothing here, there's no point in your presence." He said frowning.
I kept silence because i was short of words. Hmmm... "Hope you have where to stay because the house is already occupied, as you can see am taking my guest to the house and more are will join us." His wife added.

I was shocked! Didn't believe i just heard that.........
