Murdering of innocent people(innocent until proven guilty) or stealing of laptops, which is a graver crime?
The police is bragging about arresting the rest of the criminals?? How about the murderers that perpetuated the more grievous crime of beating to death people that were unarmed?

This society is broken. We the people are the problem. Imagine the number of potential murderers that exist in this country? Why is it that anytime there is mob action, there whole community is in support?

The guy standing next to you is a potential murderer. If someone erroneously accuses you of theft, you are turned to kpomo in less than an hour.

stagger: Last time I was flogged was in 1990. But all the flogging my parents gave me cannot be compared to one I got in 1987 by my school teacher. 24 strokes of the cane for every boy in the class. Till date, I am still blown away by that day. Sadly, that teacher who was one of our most beloved is now old and blind. Very sad: makes tears come to my eyes seeing her that way.

I cannot also forget another teacher who was not into flogging but rather dished out military style punishment. The day our class guys did 300 squats with a headpan on which a 9 inch block was placed for each person was the day I knew that there was punishment and there are punishments. Could not walk for days on end.

rokiatu: LOL but I believe there are different and effective form of discipline. (to each his own) My mom never laid hands on me but I was am so scared of her you wouldn't believe it. Even doing my dating days, I always hide it from my mom. Like a ten yr old dating, and I was not a small girl. And I was not a small girl. As soon you called my mom name I behave right away.
