While Jesus was here in human form on earth, He promised that He would return again (Matthew 24:30; Mark 13:26; Luke 12:40; Luke 21:27; John 14:1-4; John 21:22-23). Also, Jesus said the same thing in the revelation which the apostle John received (Revelation 3:11; Revelation 22:7; Revelation 22:20). Not only did Jesus Himself speak these all important words of assurance that He will be returning, but many others in the Bible did as well (Daniel 7:13-14; Malachi 3:2; Acts 1:10-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Timothy 6:12-16; Hebrews 9:27-28; James 5:7-8; 1 John 2:28; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 19:11-16).
And since then, God has been counting the days and years. Someday, it will be just the right time, and Jesus will, in effect, say, "Ready or not, here I come!" Or, because the Bible tells us that only God the Father knows the day and hour of Jesus' return (Matthew 24:36; Mark 13:32), it will actually be more like God saying, "Ready or not, I'm sending my Son back!" But you get the picture, anyway, right?

Now, the most important thing to remember about Jesus coming again is that it is not a game. It is real. If you are not ready when He returns, there will never be another chance to get ready--ever. Once Jesus returns, we will all (dead or alive) face the judgment (John 5:28-30). If you are ready, you will receive the reward of eternal life (Hebrews 9:27-28). If you are not ready, then you will be condemned to eternal punishment in Hell for all of eternity (Matthew 25:31-33; Matthew 25:46). And there are probably no words to adequately describe how horrible it will be for those who are not ready. Jesus gives us a brief description of the torment those who are not ready will face. Do the words "cut him to pieces" (Matthew 24:51), "weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 24:51; Matthew 25:30), and "throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness" (Matthew 25:30) mean anything to you? How about this description: "Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." (Matthew 25:41)? Or this one: "they will go away to eternal punishment" (Matthew 25:46)?
Those are all words spoken by Jesus himself about just what will happen to those who are not ready when He returns. Jesus also told several parables to help us understand about being ready for his return. A few are: (1) the faithful and wise servant and the wicked servant (Matthew 24:45-51); (2) the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13); (3) the talents (Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 19:12-27); (4) the sheep and goats (Matthew 25:31-46). Please take the time to read these very important teachings of Jesus.

Just what does it mean to be ready for Jesus' return? You must be sure that you are a true child of God. This means you must be born again. To be born again, the Bible tells us to do all of the following:
(1) hear the Gospel (John 5:24; Acts 15:7; Romans 10:17; Revelation 3:20); (2) believe the Gospel (Mark 16:16; John 3:16-18; John 8:24; John 11:25-26; John 20:31; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10; Hebrews 11:6; 1 Peter 1:8-9); (3) repent of our sins (Luke 13:3-5; Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30; 2 Corinthians 7:10; 2 Peter 3:9); (4) confess in front of other people that Jesus is our Lord and Savior (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Timothy 2:19; 1 John 1:9); (5) be immersed in baptism for the forgiveness of our sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 3:21); and (6) stand firm and live a faithful Christian life to the end (Matthew 10:22; Matthew 24:13; Mark 13:13; Luke 21:19; 1 Timothy 4:16; Hebrews 10:36; James 1:12).

So the question is this: Are you ready? If you are not ready, please get ready now. Jesus is coming back again someday (maybe a lot sooner than you might think) . . . whether you are ready or not.

@dafidixone, what has this prayer got to do with the fact that their pastor stole their tithes? I am sure that if you investigate more, there will be other pastors that do the same. Can we Nigerians be objective for once and desist from another using religion to blindfold us. Somebody is stealing from you and you are quoting prayer points.

DAY 8:

"For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Phil.1:20-21). Pray that God should cause every minister and member of RCCG to see like Paul see the need for aggressive evangelism.

Pray that God should cause every regenerated member of our church to see the burden behind this verse of scripture and receive a challenge for resourceful evangelism (Rom. 1:14-17)

That God should cause every member to know that the goal of evangelism is heaven and to strive to preach to sinners this year than ever before, with the aim of realizing this goal in Jesus name.

DAY 9:

Prayer for fruitful ministration of the WORD in Jesus name contd.

Pray Lord, give me apostolic passion for souls, and cause me to have the mind of Christ for the sinners around me this (Acts 6:2-4).

That God should cause every spirit-filled member of of the Church to fulfill the purpose of Pentecost; preaching Christ with boldness (Acts 4:31).

That the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matt 24:14.

DAY 11

Destroy all the tools which the devil uses against people to hinder them from receiving the Gospel. Father let all tactics of satan to deceive with love of money, love of power/position, fear of persecution, hard-heartedness and ignorance be destroyed in Jesus name. (Acts 13:4-12).

Pray that we shall enjoy constant, consistent and continual leading of the Holy Ghost in order to have fruitful evangelism and outreaches (Acts 16:9-13).

DAY 12

Let us pray that our preaching will be backed up by God’s power, and perform great wonders that the people may believe the Gospel (Acts 4:27-30, 1Corin. 2:4).

Pray for the wisdom, commitment, and discipline required to follow up converts and disciple them for Christ (Acts 15:36, Acts 14:22-23).

Pray that God should make you an effective soul-winner henceforth

· Prayer for good women leadership that God should give them divine wisdom.

· Prayer for growth of women fellowship in our churches

Father give me oil in my lamp that I may keep burning increase the intensity of fire on my altar and let not the fire go out (Lev 6:12-13).

I command every gate and door to my breakthrough open in Jesus name (Ps 24:7)

Father take me to my rest before this year ends and free my life from all struggles, pains and stresses in Jesus name (Matt 11:28).

Break every law of death over my life. I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord (Hosea 13:14)

We pull down every evil establishment and uproot all the satanic trees in the land in Jesus name.

We come against every spirit of anti-Christ working against this land and command them to be permanently frustrated, in Jesus name.

We subdue every territorial demons, marine spirits, and serpentine spirits, spirit of Jezebel and violence operating in this land in the name of Jesus.

We bind all negative forces operating, influencing and oppressing the people and the church in this land in the name of Jesus. 2 Cor. 10:4-6

I like to express my opinion on this thread. Please permit me to do so. We are all here to learn from one another I suppose?

First and foremost, I like to clearify something about Marriage and sex.
Marriage is what demonstrate the Union beween God and Beleivers. Marrieage is meant to be the union of two souls. The Primary Purpose of Marriage is not for procreation, it was mean't for fellowship. God Created a Helper for Adam because God standard is higher than Adams. God said it is not good for a man to be alone and her created a helper like Adam for him.

Secondly on issue of Sex, this is a strong and sacred affection between two opposite sex. God made it for the pleasure of Husband and wife. I will call it a motivation for procreation.

That being as it may, there could be many forms of Worship. It could be about honouring God and it could be about honouring other things.

If sex is Worship to you or anyone, then I will say Worship of Who?

May god help us to understand Him more and more.

Recent discussions on the forum and others seem to refer to our God as the same as allah, all in the spirit of interfaith understanding. This is a very dangerous inference and people need to beware. Some muslims have said all sort about horrible things about Jesus in view of the recent statement of the Holy Pontiff, yet we will not carry arms or kill but we will pray and still peacefully defend our doctrine.
Our God, Jehovah, Yahweh, the Alpha and Omega who came down to earth to redeem us from our sins as Jesus the Christ, is not the same as allah.
(1) Why do muslim face the east to pray? they say they are facing mecca!!, but even muslims in far east still face east (ideally they should face west if they want to face mecca; and the ones in north pole and south pole should face maybe south-east and north-east respectively if they want to face mecca) But they all face east all over the world- it is not that they are facing mecca but rather worshipping the sun. Read Ezekiel Chapter 8 vs 14 to 17.[i][/i]
(2) Why is the islamic symbols the crescent (half moon) and a star?
(3) Why do muslims always wait for the appearance of moon before they can start or end their so called ramadan at this time and age of 21st century? The reason is because their's is an idolatrous religion that worship the consterllations, i.e the sun, the moon and the stars, no wonder the constant urge to violence and shedding of blood, because sacrifice must be made to their master in "hades".
(4) Do you know that the black cloth used to cover the big stone in mecca has it's route in ancient egyptian magic arts? All this takes a deeper spiritual understanding and we must continue to pray for the salvation of their souls and continue to bombard your neighbouhood, Europe, Nigeria, Africa, the middle east etc with gospel of Jesus through satellite TV, missionary works, evangelism and charity etc. Their souls are still precious to God and we must take the gospel of Jesus to them. Pray for your muslim friends, for their eyes which has been blinded from knowledge of truth by the rulers of darkness of this world to open. Remember, JEHOVAH is NOT allah!! don't be deceived!!. Remember he is a jealous God, and we must have no other God beside him; this also means don't call Him by a name that is not His, or think He is who he is not. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! I think we should let the history to the past. Let come to face the reality of our time.

Jesus Christ came to die for all of us. He is the way the truth and Life you are eligible for heaven through him only.

Religion is not what matter as far as God is concern what is important is your way of life. Is your way of life in conformity with the set down plan of God?

A bible beleving churches are not practicing religiosity they prepare you for the Kingdom.

It is a good thing to go to church.

Lol, it actually doesn't put the case to rest - I consider all the questions quite legitimate, and I do hope to sit down and carefully point out where the "confusion" lies in each case, as well as show the chronology of events on that morning.

One thing the poster should realize is that there are clearly different phases of times and people in each epoch that are mentioned by the four Evangelists. One example has been given already - there is a clear difference between MARY (one person) and the WOMEN (several persons) - but we should not forget that they arrived at the sepulchre at different times [(a) "rising of the sun" and (b) "when it was yet dark". The same thing to observe in the epochs/times and sets/groups of people mentioned in each case - it is a sequence of events, and not a static position like a stilled clip of a movie!

I'd like to look at each case carefully when I have the time to devote to that study.

You need not be confused over this issue. What I want you to focus attention on is that Christ Died and on the third day He rose from the dead.

Now all you need do is be less worried about statistics of event because they may not realy edify you faith.

However, all those records are provided on different views and all they are meant to testify is that the event actually took place.

im not a christian nor a muslim but lately i don't know what is happening to me,after i read someone post encounter with Jesus changed my life. i was touched and i was wondering if it is real? i kept thinking about it for days. i am curios and want to know more of him. can all these hurt, abuse and pain i feel go away just like that? can he truly help me forgive those who hurt me and give me a new beginning? can he truly heal me of my blood disease? can he take away the feeling of anger,bitterness and revenge away?and give me a purpose and a focus? i mean i sense of direction? can he be trusted? because the once i trusted the most are the once that hurt me.

This is great experiencing you are having. Keep on into it move on dear. God is real you will see Him more clearly as you press further.

All you need do is Seek His Kingdom and all other things will be added unto it for you.

I will suggest you look for a Bible believing Church e.g The Reddemed christian church of God in your areas. Attend Believers Class there you will know Him the more.
