In Genesis 7:15: So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was found the breath of life.

In Ezekiel 37:5 "Thus says the Lord God to these bones, 'Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life.

So here we see both animals and humans possess the same breath of life, both in the sense of maintaining life and in another sense to restore life. So if we see the association between spirit being the same thing as breath of life then your question is answered. This latter aspect appeals to the resurrection reality, in that when Jesus returns the second time He will call the righteous from the dust who will possess new and glorified bodies that will once again be given back the same spirit, or life force which they once possessed.

Also note Genesis 7:21,22, "And all flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind;, of all that was on dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died."

This text in a more concrete way associates the word "spirit" and "breath"

Note Numbers 27:16: "May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,, "

This text says without a doubt that all flesh including animals possess the spirit.

I love your reasoning and I think this mature and logical reasoning give room for learning.

Man comprises of Body (Flesh), Spirit(Breath of Life) and soul(Mind or reasoning). Now i explain each briefly:

Body of man is different from that of animal in the sense that God created it with His hand and Specially made in His own Image. By the power of God like animals and other things made, they were not created lifeless (Without any breath) so I beleive is Man. So the "Breath of life" is what make the difference because that special breath is only in Man and it worked with the Soul of man. the bible says ", and man became a living Soul"

Spirit (Breath of life infar from the above is that force (Unseen) that make the soul to function differently from animal.

About the Soul, we can see that Man reason differently from animals they are both breathing. Just because animals do not have breath of life in them and so they are not a living Soul. Please also not that Man could be dead while still alive. "That is why we pray that God do not let us be alive as if we are not. When you say people lost sense of reasoning they seize to be called a living soul.

As much as Islam permits men to have up till four wives, Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:

Al-Qur'an (4:3) If you deem it best for the orphans, you may marry their mothers - you may marry two, three, or four. If you fear lest you become unfair, then you shall be content with only one, or with what you already have. Additionally, you are thus more likely to avoid financial hardship.

But in common life, usually the first part in the above quote from the Qur'an is omitted and what we hear is stated below:

"Marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one." Al-Qur`an (4:3)

In all honesty, I can see Jehovah Withness as one of the body that are committed to evangelism just as Jesus commanded. But there are some things I really would like to understand about their teachings:

1. Why would they avoid if you ask them for Praying together?
2. Why do they prefer literary translation of biblical text to the spiritual context?
3. What exactly in the person of Christ they really beleive?

You are right but the center point of a gospel is not to preach prosperity. In the quote it is a wish, and that wish may come to pass by following the principle of seeking the Kingdom of God and all other things will follow.

It is my belief that pre-marital sex is different from fornication. The verb "to fornicate" is derived from the Greek word
korinthiazomai,a word which was derived from the city of Corinth, where promiscuity and sexual immorality abounded like no where else and the corinthians worshipped the goddess of love (eros), Aphrodite.

There were over 1,000 prostitutes in the temple of Aphrodite, so sexual promisuity was the norm.

In Paul's letter to the Corinthians he admonishes them to flee fornication, meaning avoid to avoid sexually promiscuous behaviour, sleeping with prostitutes, and multiple sex partners.

This is different from pre marital sex.

My point is, if you are committed to be married to someone, then having sex with that person does not mean you are a fornicator.

Although I do not condone sex with multiple partners, sex with your boyfriend or fiancee is fine, as long as you are both committed to each other and monogamous.

I have heard a friend who is so close to the corridor of Power in Nigeria. He he shared his experience about the activities of some powerful group in the Political arena that goes beyound ordinary. In my own thinking I thought with a funtional education(not limited to formal Education) the problem will be solved. However, with the looks of how decay our moral standard is, I feel we need more prayers in this country

I wish you would read the axact quote form this in King james version of the Holy Bible.

I want you to know something, "SIN is Poisonous" At this time in this Biblical account Jesus Christ has taken up the Sin of the World (of you and I) upon Himself as a Sacrificial life. ANd at this time God being too Holy to behold Iniquities isnot watching over His only son because of the Sin of the World He was carrying upon Himself.

At this time, flesh was trying to set in but Christ was too strong for the devil. He asked them to buy sword but you will see that when the disciples told Him they had two swords, He took control over the flesh and He said will two sword be enough?

If you read futher, He prayed in argony brought by the same flesh, but quickly He said Father Thy will be done. this was the begining of the Victory.

Having told you about this things I want to let you know if not that Jesus is truely the Son of God, at that momment He would have fall into sin.

The lesson here is that we Christain must know that, Flesh will always try to dominate our decisions about obeying God but through Christ we can overcome every temptation.

Quiet Times and the Newness of Life
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 NKJV

God wants every person to know and live in a “newness of life” that comes through the Holy Spirit. God sends the Holy Spirit to live in us at the moment we place faith in Jesus (1 Corinthians 3:16). The Spirit functions as a guide and counselor, who helps us live for God. As we yield to the convictions of the Spirit, new “fruit” grows in our lives such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Those who reap such fruits will experience satisfaction and contentment in life.

God longs for each of us to seek him out and walk with him daily. In any relationship, time and commitment are important to its health. Likewise, if we want a healthy relationship with God we’ll need to invest time each day in getting to know him. I call this a “Quiet Time.”

A Quiet Time will help us discover God and become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit. This in turn will help activate the newness of life that Paul mentioned in Romans 6:4. The main point of a Quiet Time is to tune ourselves into God and commune with him. We can do this through a variety of activities, including prayer, worship and Bible study.

I like using a “links concept” to illustrate the value of these Quiet Time activities. Prayer is our commlink by which we communicate with God and vice versa. Worship is our powerlink that helps us put on humility and invites God’s work in our lives. The Bible is our lifelink, which teaches us about God and his ways. By maintaining these important links each day, we maximize our potential to live in the newness of life for that day.

I’m guessing that worship might be the most-neglected activity in peoples’ Quiet Times. I know that this had been the case for me for years. There are several possible reasons for this, including embarrassment, uncertainty on what to say or sing, inability to sing, and not wanting to wake others up. Over the years I’ve found some creative ways to incorporate worship, such as:

Sing along quietly with a worship
Sing in the garage
Sing in the car along
Read a Psalm aloud as a prayer and declaration of praise
Thanking God for every blessing in my life
David wrote in Psalm 63, “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You, In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water” (Psalm 63:1 NKJV). There is no life that is drier than one without daily time with the living God. As the source of living water for our souls, God waits for us each day to come, meet with him, and drink freely from his refreshing springs. If we do so, we’ll have the best chance of living in the newness of life that he has for us.

Questions for further thought:

As you consider your Quiet Times, are there any recurring things that hinder your time with God? If so, what could you do differently to avoid or work around those hindrances?

What is one of the primary benefits to having our minds “stayed” or “fixed” on God each day? (Isaiah 26:3)

Are there any dangers to being too regimented in a Quiet Time routine?

Prayer:

“Heavenly Father, Thank you for the assurance that I have of peace with you through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross! Thank you that I can come to you boldly, without fear of judgment or wrath. Please forgive me for not coming to you more often each day to commune with you in a Quiet Time. Please help me make changes in my schedule and priorities that will ensure I meet with you each day. Please help me give you the praise and worship that you deserve, and teach me how to communicate with you in prayer. Father, please open my spiritual eyes and ears to receive your word in my daily Bible study. Finally, Lord, please help me relate to you as my heavenly, loving Father, who desires to meet with me. Help me to see my Quiet Time as a way to build my relationship with you. Thank you, Father! I praise you now and forever, Amen.”
