Yeah they may not be fighting for Islam but truth be told (I don't mind being banned), the are technically Muslims following the content of the Hadith ... although they represent the militia arm of muslims otherwise called Jihadists , they are barbaric and kill Muslims and people of other faiths that go against their fiery style of life .

They might call themselves muslim but islam does not support what they do. We muslims in Nigeria dissociate ourselves from these barbaric act these people are carrying out. They are just spoiling the name of islam

btw, d latter option is in place now since govt has ordered CBN to tax every debit card holder 100 naira per month..

If you re-read my comment again you will see that I said the safest option and by that I mean the easiest. There are several options available to government to get money for it self, these are the IGR, borrowing etc.

The tax option of charging 100 naira per month I don't think it is place. I think they are proposing it but you can correct me if am not up to date.

The truth is there is no money for these administration to work with. The safest way is to recover all looted fund and then task the masses to pay more taxes.Although i dont support the latter.

The Head, Media Relations and Strategy of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, has insisted that late James Ocholi’s driver had no driver’s license record with the commission.
Mr. Kazeem said this on Sunday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja.
According to him, the news making round in the social media that Taiwo Elegbede, driver of the ill-fated vehicle that claimed the lives of Ocholi and his family members, has a driver’s license is not true.
“Elegbede is not captured in our driver’s licensing data, so the license he claimed to have expired must be a fake one.
“Our license procedure includes physical presence and biometric capturing of applicants which is permanently stored in our data bank, for the purpose of verification.
“We always tell members of the public to visit our licensing centres spread across the country and desist from patronizing touts while applying for their driver’s license.
“Elegbede cannot be called a competent driver if he does not have a genuine driver’s license, which he can only acquire showing mastery of basic driving principles.”
Also, reacting to the claim that the vehicle was not originally that of the labour ministry, Mr. Kazeem said, “A good driver must perform a routine check on his vehicles before driving out, it is not an excuse to say because the vehicle was provided by another office and he should ignore a check on it.”
“In fact, the maintenance department could not claim in-culpability as a result of receiving the vehicle from another agency or department, the more reason , why proper check should be carried out as the vehicle is changing hands.”
Mr. Kazeem said the commission wished the driver speedy recovery and urged members of the public to only engage the service of genuinely licensed drivers to avert road carnages.
Mr. Ocholi, his wife and a son, died in an accident along Kaduna-Abuja Highway on Sunday, March 6, while the driver and the orderly sustained serious injuries.
Boboye Oyeyemi, corps marshal of the FRSC, had said the driver was not captured in the commission’s data during his briefing to President Muhamammadu Buhari on Wednesday.
Mr. Oyeyemi said the drivers in Federal Ministries Department and Agencies should come for adequate training on convoy driving by the commission.

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has said that the number of people said to have been killed during the recent clash between the Agatu people of Benue State and their Fulani counterparts was over exaggerated.
It was reported recently that over 300 people, including children and pregnant women were killed by the Fulani herdsmen and 7,000 others were said to have been displaced.
The Fulani herdsmen claimed the battle was said to have started after 10,000 heads of cattle belonging to the Fulanis were reportedly killed.
Addressing Stakeholders during a visit to Minna, the Niger state capital, the Mr. Arase said “I was around, I travelled to Makurdi, I did not see where 300 people were buried.”
“If you kill, you don’t just bury; you must take the corpse to the Police station before you bury, we don’t have that number of people”. He however did not give the official casualty figure.
Arase said the Police High command had completed arrangements to check the incidence of cattle rustling around the country, adding that the Police would next week start what he called
‘Metro patrol’ designed to arrest cattle rustlers.

I have a lot of friends from other regions, having spent most of my life in lagos, kaduna and served (nysc) in Uyo. So i use beautiful memories from the gud friends to reflect on the ibos and yoruba av encountered.

However, a number of people from all regions are suffering from nepotism and bigotry which has beclouded them from appreciating the beauty of our diversity n togetherness.
