kkins25: Execellent comment sir.. I am not an atheist per se but I've yearned for some explanation to the so called "mysticism ". If water is changed to wine, then there must be a scientific explanation for what actually happened. Some religious dogma cannot stand the test of logic,eg the accession of Jesus into heaven(space). I always wonder how the hell jesus who was in the flesh, got oxygen when he ascended outside earths atmosphere. So many things don't make sense. Jesus ascension into heaven is pure fiction. It only happens in the biblical stories. |

Thank God for President Buhari. Nigeria has been functioning with crude oil prices at less than 20 dollars per barrel. Throughout OBJ regime crude oil was less than 50 dollars per barrel so PMB should shut up and work with what he has. It's been above 65 dollars per barrel for over a year. |

I admit my mistake when corrected but the person in question must possess a proper understanding and not base on personal influence or feelings....

FOLYKAZE: We actually have Evangelists, Imam and even Traditionalist who denounced there spirituality for a new religion destroying Shrine across all across Africa and we can both attest that there is no report that there actions have any effect either positive or negative. Personally, I have seen an Ifa initiate who threw his Opele into the river. I have also seen cases where fetish stuff are been burnt. I have seen Law enforcement officers dragging Babalawo, with all his amulets, charm and all, out of his shrine and thrown into a waiting bus. I have seen cases where a son destroyed his father shrine because of some family issues.
From my own doing, with the company of an Oniosanyin's son, I dismantled Osanyin in an attempt to known what is talking inside it. I ate Epo Obo in my secondary school days trying to investigate if I am a witch (never knew until after that there are some chemicals in the herb that actually made me vomit). I am born and brought up in a locality where I have access to all form of traditional spiritualities and imported religion so I am in a position to tell you that, from what I have experienced, these diabolic acts are practical pre-scientific experimentation which locals blow out of proporton.
Truth must be told, there are some acts esp medication and healing have scientific explanation. My treatment for Malaria, Garri and lime water, was prescribed to me by a Babalawo in my locality. And I can confirm that the chemistry helps my health so much. My Dad in so many occasions have sat me down and instruct me on how to use some herbs. The only worries I have with him is that those herbs mixture which he probably learnt for someone is attributed to a Deity or giving some supernatural attributes.
While I have visited some Babalawo for some personal issues, some of those things they do marvels me alot. That is because I have a limited knowledge in their acts. My conclusion is that these acts are mere 'crude science', and needs to be refined so that those mythical fantasy can be removed.
Things mysterious and unexplained happens. I have seen so many and many lot to see. However, almost alll the things said about juju are bullshiitee. The only sane voice in the room. Vax and the rest need to learn from you and stop yarning empty dust . |

somehow: So you mean a couple will eat one bag of rice for a month? since you don't know zilch when it comes to kitchen stuff. The people earning #18k monthly or even less must have all died by now.
Let me break it down to you incase you don't know. there are people feeding even with less than 20k a month, some even spend less than 15k a month.
And no sir, a bag of rice is not 16k everywhere, some places have bags of rice for 11k, 12k. smaller bag sizes are 9k and even 8k.
Now if you want me to break down how to spend 20k monthly (2 people).
Go with me on the tour:
1 derica of rice is #220 in Lagos 1 derica of beans is #300 in lagos
Yam is like #400-#600 here in Lagos
Spag is #180 Semo is #220 (small one)
Sachet tomatoes with pepper is #50 here in Lagos, the one without pepper is same
A gallon of Palm oil is #650 Groundnut oil is #750
maggi sachet is 220
sachet of salt is 60
gas is #3k
1 kilo of titus is 1100, kote is 1100, shawa is 600.
kilo of chicken is 1100, turkey is 1200
egusi is 300 for milk cup, ogbono is 500 for tin cup.
Depending on how both couple eat, 20k should feed you both for a month unless you're the type that eat more than what you earn.
don't let anyone deceive you, 10k can feed you same as 100k. so whoever tells you he cant eat because he earns 30k monthly is deceiving you, planning for the future with such earnings might be something else, but feeding is covered.
I repeat, no one does a single job anywhere in the world again, you must have multiple streams of incomes. only few people on earth can do one job and live the life they want. You've already acknowledged that NPower can not help any body get out of poverty so I really do not know what you are arguing about. Npower power is NOT an empowerment scheme since people that earn the 30k (less than 100 dollars ) live in abject poverty by any standard in the world. |
Politics › Re: Over 11,000 Benefiiciaries Of Npower In Ekiti Declare Support For Buhari by dalaman: 9:43pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
somehow: Did Npower stop anyone from getting other sources of income? if 30k is not enough in Abuja, the person should go for what can be enough for him or her na or is the government forcing anyone with Npower? Npower is to help those who have nothing to do at present, not for those who have options, it's more like a stepping stone for those with better plans ahead.
Minimum wage is #18k, yet alot still go for these same civil service jobs, yet we have more civil servants in Nigeria. How are they surviving and why haven't they all died? Because alot of people don't rely on just 1 job, so why should anyone rely on just Npower? There is no civil service job that pays a graduate 18k. There is none! |
Politics › Re: Over 11,000 Benefiiciaries Of Npower In Ekiti Declare Support For Buhari by dalaman: 7:15pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
somehow: How then do civil servants earning #18k feeding if #30k can't feed your relatives? I know of a couple we feed with #25k monthly and if you see them, you would think they eat at eko hotel everyday due to the freshness of their skin.
What am i saying? If someone who's not married claims 30k is not feeding him or her, then something is wrong.
In this world, no one does just one business/job, else he won't progress from his current stage.
#30k is small but let them diverstify. Ogneni what are you saying? A bag of rice alone is about 16k and you are saying that 25k feeds a couple? That only happens in your imaginations. 25k can NOT feed a couple for one month. How much is a kilo of meat? What about other ingredients and vegetables? How much is a kondo or bag of beans. A bottle of palm oil and other stuffs. Ogbeni be serious pls. |

michealewela: Is not meant for people like you broz,,, i know more than 10 people who started their life with less than 30k job, now they have their own houses and cars,, some states pay less than that...... When exactly? I knew when my mum was earning 50k as a medical doctor many years ago. 30k now is not an earning that can do anything apart from feed you. Anybody earning 30k is abjedtively poo by all standards in the world. 30k is less than 100 dollars. |
Politics › Re: Over 11,000 Benefiiciaries Of Npower In Ekiti Declare Support For Buhari by dalaman: 7:08pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
somehow: Then give them a better job that can earn them 200k or should thr government give them 200k jobs? The insolvent civil servants are already gulping free "salaries" from the govt already.
If civil servants were actually working effectively, we might have had some of them evolve to the stage of create businesses that employs fresh graduates but no, some rather die there collecting money they actually didn't earn work wise.
Abuja(most part) is not for low income earners, let them move to the suburb until their income capacity gets to the living standards of those within main Abuja. 30k is not enough for people living in the suburbs of Abuja. A person earning 30k monthly is living in abject poverty by every standard in the world. N power is NOT an empowerment program since it does NOT lift people out of poverty. People that earn the stipend are still abjedtively poor. |

What is there to show for 30k? 30k can not feed you well if you live in Abuja where I do. 30k is less than 100 dollars. People that live on 100 dollars a month are considered to be living in abject poverty by every standard in the world so what are you talking about? Which testimony are they talking about? That the government is giving them food or what? So food is what amounts to testimony or what? |

michealewela: What about the other categories like the ntech, nbuild, ncreative, etc. What i like about this government is that, the rich people are the ones crying not the poor masses as some of you would claim... I have two relatives that I feed that are enrolled in this Npower. It was through them that I got to know about the existence of the scheme. They still live in my house in Nigeria and depend on me for most things. The N power money can not feed them talk more of pay their house rent and buy other utilities. Ntech, N build etc are nothing different fron what you learn from vocational schools in Nigeria. There's nothing exception or spectacular about them. N power is just like any other government run program in Nigeria that is riddle with mediocrity, inefficiency and incompetence in the training field. |
