Misleading headline, I'm from the middle belt and my own people are certainly not voting Jonathan |
tobechi20:thesis is not a prerequisite but lying is perjury, Obj says he didn't complete his PhD, so pls #GEJshowusyourthesis |
But I thought Buhari was supposed to be a religious bigot, how comes his wife and daughters are so beautifully dressed and not in purdah with face covered, the lies that these politicians tell to gain votes, and some sadly believe them . SMH |
Certainly another attempt at a cover up, the Senate are ever willing to come to d rescue of the presidency when they run into trouble as they so often do, all in the name of a probe. The Makarfi led probe of Diezani Allisons deals on my mind |
Even after the NMA called off its industrial action, hospitals still remain mostly sparse because doctors are yet to fully resume, this is largely due to the ministers reluctance to recall sacked doctors and resume residency training, consultants in most federal hospitals have also refused to attend to patients despite not being on strike further complicating the situation. NMA suspended their strike hoping to have their junior colleagues back at work. Resident doctors form the major part of the doctor work force at tertiary hospital institutions. All eyes are now on Onyebuchi Chukwu as NMA meets in Awka this weekend |
What if Angela Merkel had sacked a large chunk of her doctors? |
Meanwhile, take this, we dey watch
|
Morotov1: In one of their strikes JOHESU and their cohorts requested for the immediate sack of the minister but NMA won't hear of it, they were called all sort of ththings, now it is your #25 demand. Hilarious.Ok nau, we are watching & waiting, meanwhile take this from the body of consultants which is being replicated across the country, we dey watch
|
arabbunkum: The striking doctors are behind this dirty work. Politics of blackmail.I didn't know the nation newspaper was controlled by the striking doctors |
mployer: Lol,ehn nau, #Onyebuchimustgo |
Morotov1: Stop washing your dirty linens in public.come on, this has nothing with his being a doctor, stop looking for cheap points, doctors infact want his sack because he's destroying our health system by wrongly advising Mr president on the residency programme, as was shown in d article he's always been cheating on resident doctors. Infact, NMA demand number 25 #Onyebuchimustgo |
Are Onyebuchi Chukwu and Jonathan losing this one? House officers and Medical officers remained at home following circulars issued from the ministry of health on the instructions of the President, this is getting serious, they seem to be creating a stronger NMA
|
Fitz22: You obviously have d dx.ok nau, continue |

ok nau, ignorance they say is a disease |
And that's from oga ministers state, shame on him, home defeat
|
That's from consultants in lagos and it's same all over, Onyebuchi and GEJ aren't winning this one
|
meanwhile, situation report from across the nation tells of all cadre of doctors from house officers to medical officers to consultants defying Onyebuchi and Jonathans order to return to work, Shame on them!!! Even a stronger NMA they are creating |

DrLuv: please please my brother..permit me to insult u please, jor biko.if u do not know what residents means and the position they occupy in the tertiary centre..dont comment jor rather than compare them with medical students jor. ![]() DrLuv: please please my brother..permit me to insult u please, jor biko.if u do not know what residents means and the position they occupy in the tertiary centre..dont comment jor rather than compare them with medical students jor. |
Chaleeee: Soldiers in Borno get the same amt, have you ever heard that they held the country to ransom?u can choose to call it holding the nation to ransom if u like, ur opinion, u probably haven't heard of mutineering in d military of late, we aren't deterred by the way, we've got our brains and our skills, our greatest assets |
Chaleeee: Don't policemen and soldier get killed by arm robbers and boko haram respectively for protecting your lives? Its called WORK HAZARD.yeah, it's called hazard as u say, and the doctors hazard allowance is 5000 naira, I guess that's enough worth for ur own life, that wasn't meant to be insultive by the way |
ObiOkpor: Aish!when the nation needed them the most, they swiftly responded to calls to treat bomb blast victims following attacks in kaduna and kano, the lagos NMA are coordinating their members to attend to the Ebola outbreak and the same would happen in any other state as long as government provides personal protective equipment (PPE) . This vilification of doctors wouldn't take us anywhere and changes nothing, government propaganda would change nothing |
toysleek: What does it matter?ok nau, c ya |
toysleek: And by the way, i have twin sisters who are both doctors(brilliant ones for that matter)..So, i dont hate docs.oh great, are they into the residency training programme? |
toysleek: I'm a social worker in a FMC, so i'm familiar with all these...At least for now, consultants in federal hospitals will stop lazying around and do the real work they are paid for..Residency has not been suspended in state teaching hospitals right?oohh, I should have known, now I know where u are coming from, a johesu person, I wouldn't even have responded if I had known, I don't expect objectivity, certified doctor haters. Mr consultant social worker |
toysleek: Resident doctors are temporary staff, and yet,the govt pays their school fees throughout their period of training(usually 6yrs),and with that they still collect huge salaries even more than the MO's(cos they dont contribute pension)..Consultants, MO's are permanent staff and cant be sacked anyhow...A consultant collecting btw #500k-800k monthly will not want to lose his/her job fighting for a resident,if a 'NO WORK, NO PAY' is forced on them..So they can either continue their residency in state teaching hospitals or wait till Fg calls them back.ur tone shows u don't understand what residency training is all about and u obviously don't know how teaching hospitals work, so u think MOs no matter their years of experience can do the work of a senior registrar or even a registrar in fields like ENT or Anaesthesia or neurosurgery or plastic surgery, or do u think consultants can run the teaching hospitals and other federal hospitals alone without their residents that do the hard work, no one is arguing the permanent staff status of residents here u know, they obviously aren't permanent staff |
prettyprettywow: After residency training, don't drs go out to search for jobs? Are they permanent emploees in the THs they are being trained? Why do we have specialist Drs in private hospitals who throw parties for getting Govt jobs? were they absorbed in the hospital they did their residencies? If you think i don't know what I'm sayinf, maybe you can explainlI'm not arguing the permanent staff status of residents, of course they aren't permanent staff, it's the ignorance of people who think MOs can simply be brought in to replace residents that is comical to me, how would an MO even if he's got 10 years of experience do the job of a senior registrar or even a registrar inAnaesthesia or ENT which are highly skilled fields, what's not possible isn't possible |
prettyprettywow: resident doctors are not permanent employees, so they can't dictate to their sponsors how they are treated. MO and consultants are permanent staff. got it?obviously this is coming from someone who knows nothing about specialties and areas of specialisation in the field of medicine. |
