This country is dead menh.... Soon I am going to denounce my Nigerian citizenship, God helping me
MadamExcellency:
It was obvious after the world bank approval of $1.5 billion loan for mitigation of covid-19 effects for Nigeria

Our politicians must show the reason for the loan. Lock down, buy indomie as palliatives and embezzle the remaining while the unborn generations pay for the scam.
Politics / Re: Kemi Olunloyo: My DSS Boyfriend Told Me A FULL LOCKDOWN Is Coming by Damian457: 1:10pm On Dec 27, 2020
Lockdown for just few cases being recorded? The blackman is a useless race tbh.
Why will you impose a total lockdown when then the epicenter of this so called second wave is in Lagos and abuja?

It depends on the country, countries like USA has a pathway from Visiting visa citizenship, most Nigerians in US got there via Visiting and eventually regularized their stays. So migrating with to a country like US with the hope of regularizing your status is valid

babakb:

Spot on.

Most of the guys asking these sort of questions do so intentionally, they want to obtain Visit Visa and overstay thinking that somehow they will later regularize their status, all they want is just entry.
That is why I'm very happy if they get caught and deported.

So many of these ladies are something else.

I have one here already telling her friends how she would explore all freedom when her husband takes her to Canada next year. Imagine

Same lady that's told me she can't live for a week without sex. All these while her man his working his ass off over there.

I sigh for these women.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Trump: 'There's No Way Biden Got 80M votes, This Was A 100% Rigged Election' by Damian457: 4:46am On Nov 27, 2020
What’s the difference between overstaying your visa and not conceded an election defeat when when all facts and figure are pointing towards it bring free and fair? Trump you’re a mumu man
envoymedia:
President Donald Trump is still refusing to concede to Joe Biden and claiming without evidence that he was cheated by widespread election fraud in the US presidential election, IgbereTV reports.

On Tuesday, President-elect Joe Biden's total tally of votes surpassed 80 million, making him the first-ever presidential candidate in United States history to achieve that feat.

Currently, the Democrat has 80,063,589 votes to Donald Trump’s 73,904,195.

Reacting on Twitter on Thursday November 26, President Trump claimed he just saw the vote tabulations and that there was no way Biden could gather 80,000,000 votes in the presidential election.

He also insisted on previous claims that the election was '100%' rigged.

Trump wrote:

Twitter immediately affixed a label to the tweet warning users that the 'claim about election fraud is disputed.'

You don’t know anything..... Chinese, Indians and Canadian do it everyday. America is not Europe where you can be randomly stopped by police for your immigration status.
America is a land of the free....

Anyone thinking they can live illegally in the US in 2020 by absconding on a tourist visa is in for a rude surprise.
Travel / Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by Damian457: 4:03pm On Nov 24, 2020
why are Nigerian media outlets are twisting the news.
No it does NOT affect Nigerians. It only affects countries whose citizens get single entry visas to the US and has high rate of over stay.
In these affected countries, it doesn’t affect existing visa holders too.
Nikirurussia:
Please guys those this affect existing visa holders or new applicants. Please share light on this

If you want to hussle in the states, you must be hardworking and willing to do overtime .Start exercising before you come, that way the job won't be hard on your muscles lol. I don't see my job as hard though. Choose the right state. Forget the big states for a start. JOBS plenty where I dey.. Question is;you get the energy to work?

Lol bro have you been to Canada Student Visa thread on nairaland? Visit there and you will get what i am talking about. I guess your cousin studied undergrad in Canada right?
I’m talking about Graduate studies Fam, Have you heard of program of best fit?
Bro Study a Economics and Statistics then apply for Social works study permit then see if they won’t fling your application off the desk.

PS: if you’re a graduate or a professional and you’re planning on studying a course that is beneath your previous qualifications, forget it bro

maternal:

My cousin with a nonsense degree is about to get his PR. A small boy that never had work experience in naija. Please stop spreading mis-information. As for the student visa, I can't speak on that. But I feel Canada lets a lot of things slide if you're young. That's the demographic they're looking for right now; young people.
Travel / Re: I’m Depressed, I Need To Leave This Country For My Mental Health by Damian457: 4:43pm On Nov 18, 2020
Boss Canada study permit is harddddd and I don’t think any “nonsense” degree will fly oo.
You have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the course you are going for relate to your previous experience.
You

maternal:

Or you can get any nonsense degree in Canada, get a 3 year work permit after, then apply for your residency card within that 3 years. This is an easier route.
Travel / Re: I’m Depressed, I Need To Leave This Country For My Mental Health by Damian457: 4:40pm On Nov 18, 2020
But most of these PhDs are five years sha..
five years is a long time

kevwemanuel:

I tell you. And you are likely to live the rest of your life at their liberty, except God just help you get better one. If you have at least a 2;1 just use #70k to write GRE,use another 70k to write TOEFL. Prepare for these exams like say na life or death. Ace these exams and shoot your shot to US schools. If you get 320 and above in GRE, you must get full funding to a PhD program including monthly allowance of as high as $3000. And with a fully funded PhD, u will have no worries in securing your visa because Dem know say u b hot cake to get fully funded. Arrange your flight ticket money and BTA and ball into the US with your full chest and make your own choice of a life partner without fear of losing your legal status.

True sha...I heard some of them are pains in the Ass...especially the uneducated ones
kevwemanuel:

Have you heard about Akata wahala before? You think it's so easy to move all the way from naija and pick a "SUITABLE" life partner?
Bro it's a long topic oh. It's doable, but complex.
Travel / Re: I’m Depressed, I Need To Leave This Country For My Mental Health by Damian457: 2:32pm On Nov 18, 2020
How is marriage difficult and complex please ?

kevwemanuel:

PhD gives you over 90% chances of getting your permanent residence, this will subsequently lead to citizenship. Even if for any reason, you don't get citizenship, your permanent residence status is guaranteed.

Note that it's not compulsory to follow this route, there are other routes to follow. Everything depends on the skill you possess or what you wanna do with your life. But it you ask me, if you are academically sound, the PhD pathway is the cheapest way to enter and remain in the US. The only other cheap but difficult and complex (another topic on its own) alternative is to get married to a US citizen.
