TravelRe: General Austria Study/visa( Process And Requirements) by Damimubo: 2:34am On Dec 29, 2024
Hello everyone,
I'm Damilola, and I'm new to this platform. I'm interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Austria for the September 2025 intake. I've researched potential universities, but I'm unsure about the application process. As an HND holder, I'd appreciate guidance on the next steps.
Could someone please explain:
1. Where do I start?
2. What documents do I need to legalize/authenticate for myself and my children?
3. When should I book an appointment?
Please provide a step-by-step guide, starting from the first step. I'd be grateful for your assistance.

Thank you!

Exactly, my application along with my kids was denied around June due to certification of their birth cert and bank acct lacks credibility, am a business woman my acct runs very well every week with good sum of money, I submitted our first application with 1.8m but was denied. We submitted our second application doing the needful and my acct bal was 2.6m, no bulk money deposited, just my normal money flow, and last week I went to collect our passports and was denied again this time my acct is inconsistence. My brother in law has been to Dublin twice , south Africa twice and yet was denied last week due to inconsistency in his acct and he work with FAAN. I later called a well know tourist agent, they take pple to different countries for tour and I explained my predicament with the south Africa embassy and he said they denied ALL their applicant going for holiday on the ground of acct not been consistency. So it's not by ur travel history they just dont want us their country and note not only south Africa embassy same with Ireland embassy, Italy, and Belgium. Some of our brothers and sister in their country don spoil our image pass repair, and our govt con add fuel to it. If u have been denied twice just take a break, go to another country if u wish to cool ur brain off this dec. All will be well.

Baba see ehn, there's really no method to their ways o.

One of my siblings has extensive travel history with active UK, USA, and shenghen visas, her application took 13 weeks. My other siblings with just Ghana travel history had hers out in 10 weeks.

I just feel that these guys are just grossly incompetent. All it takes is an email to the issuing body for whatever documents they want to verify and they will get their response.

For my siblings, I used my bank details to support their application. I didn't get any single call from them to verify if I indeed invited them, my bank did not receive any call from them to verify if my bank statements were authentic.

They also didn't call them to verify any of the documents they submitted.
So what in God's name are verifying in ten months? It's just plain incompetence.

That's all
It means ur passport is ready for collection, best of luck..

Good evening nairalandas please I need to confirm something from preferably people that hv applied for South African visa previously ,I got a message yesterday after waiting for almost two months now which reads "Processed Visa Application Reference no. ***** is ready for collection at The South African Visa Application Centre Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way, 3rd Roundabout Lekki Phase I Lagos on 25/11/2019 .Collection Timing is from 11am to 3pm." So my question is with this message is it a guarantee that the visa has been approved or otherwise I'm lost ,I just want to know so I can decide on the next step to take ,I ll really appreciate y'all opinions and advice
I support this. If others too can support then we can call the attention of the people involve to this.

need to start a thread and make it trend. It will have world audience so the S.A. High Commission will be moved to act.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Damimubo: 2:23pm On Nov 21, 2019
Nobody oooo, we are just on our own.

Is there a trending Hashtag on Twitter for this delay? These SA guys are really taking us for granted and it seems nobody gives a hoot about it.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Damimubo: 7:59pm On Nov 20, 2019
It seems so many people are affected, cos even on Twitter people have been tagging the likes of @abikedabiri, sanwoolu and the vice president, Bobby moroe, etc. This act of south Africa embassy is just an indirect way of extorting us cos if we cant wait for their decision we will have withdraw our P. But it's so unfair sha. My passport has been there for 2 and half months.

As in, I kept wondering may this thread is for only those that their visa was delayed. Because people getting it are not posting here so it is looking as if that's what the SA embassy is doing now.

Guys, if you are still waiting for your visa, I think you need to pray to whatever God you serve for favour. Trust me, you'll be needing it. The recent attacks by Nigerians on the South African Police (I was only just seeing the images today) will definitely have a response. I pray we applying for visas are not one of the casualties in this matter.
It wasnt Nigerians who attacked their police men, it was their own citizen who did that. I dont know why they like giving us false news.at first I read the news on punch news paper but later read on Twitter from their president Instagram handle telling the citizen how wrong it is to attack their police.may God help us

Your child's birth certificate must be certified at the Ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja. My daughter's visa was denied in January for the same reason of her birth certificate lacking credibility. Had to authenticate it first at the Ministry of Foreign affairs before resubmitting it. Relative Visa it was tho.
am in Ibadan plz can I certify mine at the high court?

Hello everyone
....Applied On the 11th of July at the Lagos VFS for a visitors visa for my 3 months old daughter and myself.Got a mail and message that it's ready for pick up yesterday 25th (10working days I total) Been to SA thrice.Got the visa but my baby wasn't given.
Reason .....that my husband's data page wasn't motorized
......
And that her birth certificate lacks credibility (She was born in a private hospital, but we obtained the government birth certificate when processing her passport, I submitted that and certified it as well)

This is what was written below the reasons given.......
You may within 10 working days frm receipt of the notification make written representation to the south African Consulate General Lagos via VFS,visa Application center Lagos

Pls house as per it's an authorized directives from the consulate itself, I wanna asked if i will still need to book an appointment

And secondly, thinking of including all pictures from my Preggo day to delievery day till date.

Please advice ooo and can someone submit all this on my behalf as I Don't reside in Lagos.

Will greatly appreciate your response. Thanks

Hello, plz has there been any news from south Africa embassy Lagos. I submitted my Visa application(visitor visa) on June 10 and it's been 6 weeks now. Someone on here once raised it that we should try and hashtag the embassy on Twitter, and I think it's a good suggestion, they cant keep accepting Visa applications and Visa fees at the same time seize our passports that's so wrong.
