We believe you Prof. The nonentity is just one of the youths of the country supporting thieves and criminals. We know their ilks! SAY NO MORE!
And I belief if you had any sense, even the picture you posted said something about "the youths whose future is to be stolen will be celebrating" Now a young Man refuses to let his rights be stolen from him, but we are abusing him... Using emotional/old age blackmail on him. Las Las, all of una must get sense! |
We believe you Prof. The nonentity is just one of the youths of the country supporting thieves and criminals. We know their ilks! SAY NO MORE!
Let me ask you, do you have sense at all? In as much as we all know that Soyinka didn't deny of his wrongdoing by going against the allocation rules by trying to use emotion in taking away someone else right. The guy in question has not done anything wrong by lawfully asking for his allocated seat. It is so foolish of Nigerian youths and that is why even political parties choose a 50yrs old man as her youth leader. You people should stop playing emotions as if you are the only Nigerians or yorubas. Prof would never disrespect an American or British in such manner because he knows they will ask for their rights. The reason why not too young to rule will always be a failure, we can't send the old people packing and they will keep ruling Naija till their grave |
The laws of this country is purely for the poor. How can you charge him to court for having sexual intercourse with a girl which wasn't by force? In a region where we have sharia, where most of the girls get married off before age 16. Where a former governor married a 13yrs old girl and the constitution of Nigeria defended it? What a nation... A nation who sees a 14yrs old girl after giving birth as an adult and has right to vote. Can't God just come for Nigeria alone abeg. The injustices in this nation is too much. Until the youths who have been divided by religion, tribe, languages, region come together to realise the power actually belong to them, the poor youths will continue to be a horse for the politicians kids to ride to the top |
From my own experience as an engineer, it is important to place your trust in the construction engineer. Most of the time, a lot of us care about our reputation, professionalism, our certificates and the quality of job done. As an engineer who understand the ethics of the job, it is wrong to have too much familiarity with relative of the owner as most don't actually want the success of the project. It is high time we appreciate professionalism in this country. What owners fail to understand is that a masonry doesn't take into cognisance all the details while determining or making critical decisions on structures. I had an experience with a very big woman in Lagos, she has a 3-storey building built very close to computer village... My site was along ogba axis then, someone came in and seek if I could follow him to see the woman. When I got there she told me a building that houses about 65 shops doesn't have a detail architectural and structural drawing.. She was being disturbed by Lagos State Building inspection team, she needed an Engineer that could stand in for her. When I visited the site, I noticed a lot of defects, sub standard materials and unbelievable reinforcement used. I spoke with the masonry she employed and I walked away from that trap. Let us learn to trust professionals |
jyteman:This wouldn't cost you much. We actually don't have a precise reinforcement for lintels but most of the time we make use of 12mm rod with spacing of 250mm c/c. On the cost of reinforcement, it depends on the number of lintels but from my professional view, I give a distance of 600mm both side for the lintels to sit on block. On the carpentry aspect, you can negotiate 8lintels as a day job for the carpenter or give out as a contract depending on the number of lintels you have. You can also contact me for further help. Cheers! |
Thank God for life. We have said it over and over again, let's learn to engage professionals when trying to build . You can check my profile for a better service delivery when it comes to construction |

Let me first thank all staff, supervisors, client and all the people involved in making this project a success. It is a two-storey building with a lift shaft with some detached apartment, state of the heart swimming pool, ambitious head room average of 4.6m located at Oduduwa street, Ikeja G. R. A Lagos. Let me first display the pictures from foundation level to the finish level. Then I will take my time to go fully into details of construction. I am sorry I could not be able to give alot of my time on here everyday to explain the details of construction but I will definitely give full details and answer all questions related to the construction. The building is situated on one Acre of land. I wouldn't say the structure wasn't difficult, it was excessively complex as it was difficult to satisfy the taste of the client but at the end we pull through and made him happy. Many sleepless night

The foundation height above the zero level(ground level) is 900mm. After the completion of block work, we commenced filling with laterite, hardcore, loose sand and sharp sand. Every stage of filling was well compacted after weting with water. The oversize concrete was 150mm thick. We ensured the whole foundation received mesh wire on it..
|
As soon as we finished the blinding and the mass concrete work, block work commenced. Less I forget, the mix ratio for the pad footing and mass concrete (trenches) was 1:2:4 (cement, sand, gravel)
|
The trenches were well excavated, column point were also excavated. The trenches received concrete 100mm deep while the pad received in total of 450mm deep. The reinceforcrment used were 25mm, 20mm, 16mm, 12mm and 10mm. The stirrup spacing for the short columns was 200mm c/c
|
The total area of building is 29m x 40m Sqm = 1160. Concrete grade =25 Reinforcement Strength = 410 |
It houses both offices, production area, dispatch area, rest rooms, server room, mixing area e.t.c It is a story building. Due to the stability of the soil, pad foundation was approved. We commenced the setting out of the site. Excavation of trenches commenced. Column points were determined and excavated. Depth of trench excavation was 900mm While the pad was 350mm deep

Good morning everyone, I will like to start with the construction of Rehoboth bakery and confectionaries located at Ogba. The building is located on a 7200sqm Due to the heavy equipment it will house and the heat that will be generated within the bakery, the roof was design to receive steel truss

pelepeleb:Actually,it all depend on the size of those rooms, building e.t.c. Plastering is done in sq metre depending on the rate agreed on. Looking at it all,I don't think it is really excessive. You can contact me if you need more information |
I sense trouble for Nigeria if I am to go by dangote words. PMS would be sold at international export price . Meaning as it stand, cost of exporting PMS to Nigeria let's say is N230,government is financing around N90 per litre but with dangote. If government decide not to subsidize it ,then dangote would still be selling at around N150 locally. But the only good thing is if normal export rate is N150 without adding cost of transportation and other contingencies... Then if government subsidize dangote,we might get it around N100, but if they don't, it is still the same as dangote is focused on profit making and would rather prefer exporting it out. This is a shame on Nigeria, dangote is becoming so selfish |
