16mm reinforcement was designed for the column mats.
Blinding of 50mm concrete was adopted to prevent the reinforcement from having direct contact with the soil as this protect the reinforcement against corrosion which reduces the strength of reinforcement .
The foundation height is 2.2m
The columns were of 2 different sizes
230x230mm
230x450mm
Properties / Re: Estherdaley Nigeria Limited projects and lovable designs by dammyllare(m): 10:33am On Jun 03, 2018
The foundation done for the structure is strip foundation with pad footing for the columns.

The column base excavation was 1500x1500x350 while the trench area was excavated at 750mm

I schooled in the North and many schools has crk in their syllabus. I can still remember that the crk teacher in my primary school was a yoruba woman and the crk teacher in my secondary school was an Igbo woman from Anambra. It is only in government schools that u wouldn't find crk teacher which is also the same in the south where u find only crk teachers bt no irk teacher.
Go to southwest, tou find a lot of irk teachers.
I still say crk teachers in the north are not up to 5% in those schools

Arabic is useless to me, Arabic is useless to you, but it is useful and more preferred (than French) to over 70 million people living up in northern Nigeria. This is common sense.

Now can you kindly tell me the advantages of French to a secondary sxhool pupil in Nigeria?
That was the same principle used in introducing sharia to our constitution and our land
Its forbidden for you to sell alcohol on the street of those states but the tax paid by NB n the rest are used to develop their land
Hypocrites everywhere
The same way FG now pay islamic judges from the tax of nigerians of different religions
The same i dont care attitude that is wiping our faith off in the north

I cited Igbo language cos it is a language like every others. So, if Arabic language was choosen then and it is foreign language, what will u say about French
Igbo is a nigeria language so cite another foreign language devoid of religion and bring it to the table
Instead you should ask why people learn hausa which is associated to the muslim north
Nigerians dont have problem with that.
You are just looking for a political way out citing igbo
Cite hausa

These people just want to heat up the polity, you people are the ones reminding nigeria that it's a secular state the government as done the needful by removing not only crk even irk, what do you people want? Arabic is just a language like French, steewpid people it's incorrect to call it Islamic Arabic studies...its Arabic language awon werey. Always looking for something to castigate this government... angry
Let me ask a simple question here...in a situatiom where you dont have a french teacher in a school but you have arabic teacher there...tell me,what choice di christian students have to choose another subject aside arabic language?
We are not fools...go up north, how many schools has crk in their curriculum?
They have been allienated
Only fools who has not been able to travel wide will be cajoled.

This is what obailala said and I endorsed it.

The Arabic is an OPTIONAL subject. My common sense tells me this option will only be picked by northerners who find it valuable to them. So why should this be the business or problem of a southern kid who has the option to offer the alternative French?
What is too difficult for Nigerians of 2017 to understand in this?... must everything be a ground for nonsense complaints in Nigeria today?
My problem with it is not now but the future
I know how they operate
Sooner or later it will be pressured on us to also adopt it as one of the country official language because the larger population in the north communicate better in arabic, that was how sharia started and today we have sharia in over 8states with the fg recognising them constitutionally and infact been paid by fg
If you must know, sharia judges are part of NJC in Nigeria
We are not fools

Y will I shout cos of a mere language? If I want to learn abt how Igbo come to Nigeria, who is the first speaker of Igbo language and so on, then I will for history class. I want to learn a language so that I can communicate in that language with d native speakers. Learning abt the history is something else.
When I was in Anambra, I learn few things in Igbo and never venture into trying to know history of what and what.
When I was in junior class, I learnt few things in Arabic and never venture into trying to know history of what and what.
Learning history is entirely different from learning how to speak a language.
Stop citing igbo to make ur argument look genuine
Igbo is a Nigerian language and so can be learn by anyone
Arabic language is not a language in nigeria but a foreign language associated with a religion migrating across our area

And u lied. Do you think it is every one that go to islamiyya that knows how to speak Arabic in d North. They may be able to read the holy Qur'an, but guy, dey don't understand Arabic.
And Arabic and French studies has been in the curriculum for ages, y d noise now?
Are you lying to yourself?
Quran is a form of arabic language so whether as beginner, intermediate or proficient....you can still communicate in arabic a bit.
Arabic language is the second language after hausa in the north .
Am not one to be fooled because i live among them
The language is spoken by muslim countries
Nigeria is not one

cristianisraeli:
if you think arabic have nothing to do with islam..read below

Beginning in the 7th century CE, the Arab Conquests (also known as Islamic or Muslim Conquests) carried speakers of various Arabic dialects, with their religion of Islam and their language of Arabic, out of the Arabian Peninsula into almost all of the Middle East and North Africa, west into the Iberian Peninsula and all the way east to China. Over time, as the incoming Arabs intermarried with indigenous peoples mostly in the Middle East and North Africa, the Arabic language became the prominent language of these regions. While some of the native languages such as Kurdish (Iraq and Syria), Berber (Algeria and Morocco), Mahri (Yemen), and Jebali (Oman) are still spoken in this area, some languages have gradually shrunk. Aramaic, for example, the language that was spoken most widely in the Middle East before the Conquests, is still spoken in pockets in today's Syria and Iraq. In Egypt, the language that was spoken before the Muslims came was Coptic, a direct descendant of the Anciant Egyptian language. Today it only survives as a liturgical language of the Coptic Church.

This is the best write up here today...christians are so gullible and western education is becoming a curse to them.
They believe everyone else has the same mindset like them
The aim when islamization want to begin is influence arabic to be inserted into school curricullums, then they ensure most of their children in the north only speak hausa and arabic
Even now that arabic is not an official subject, most of them forbid their children from speaking english first.they communicate in arabic n hausa
The next move will be to ensure arabic language become part of the official language as it will be the most widely spoken language in the north.
As soon as arab becomes part of our official language then it becomes an islamic country.
Before you quote me,i live most of my life in the north And also have uncles and aunties who are hausa muslims

Most christians has been blinded by their simplicity to life.
Let me tell you....the first phase in islamising Nigeria is to make people begin to pick interest in arabic language.
Yes,you cant take christianity away from people without first teaching them how to read quran written in arabic language.
Again,it is a known fact that most french countries has ties with arabic countries.
Again....all arabic speaking countries are muslim countries .pls dont tell me about israel where a few speak arab.they are wiser now and understand the ploy growing from palestine n d rest which is the sole reason for them wanting to step the language down
If you want to introduce a foreign language to Nigeria...introduce one that doesnt have ties with any religion
Islamic campaigners do come as friends in the beginning till you are wiped out
Ilorin is a modern example...so also is plateau state
If we are to learn a foreign language, let it be one devoid of a certain religion else let the country go her separate ways
