A Police officer has been caught on camera negotiating bribe with a motorist and planning to short change his colleagues.

The Police officer negotiated N15,000 with the motorist who continued to plead for a reduction, only for him to accept N10,000 on the condition that the driver will tell his colleagues he paid only N5,000.

The Police who was in the car with the driver was unaware he was being filmed by the driver. He initially called his colleagues telling them the man has no money to give, he is insisting he can only pay N5,000. After the conversation, he turned to the man and asked him to pay the N15,000 but he pleaded further saying he doesn't have it, the car isn't his and he was in a rush to somewhere.

“Out of the N15,000, if I remove N10,000, how much go come remain? N5,000? No, e no go work?” the man, wearing a police uniform and holding a rifle, is seen in the video arguing with the motorist, using Pidgin English.

“Na wetin wey dey be dat!” the motorist responded, showing no sign he was willing to offer more than N15,000.

The motorist is seen in the video holding out a wad of 1,000 naira notes for the officer who is on the passenger’s seat, besides the driver.

“You know wetin you go do eh?” the officer suddenly asked the man, sounding as if he was concerned and wanted to offer help.

“This man wey I call, him money na N10,000. The N5,000, na him I go come tell my people? Complete that money N20k, so that….”

The motorist cuts in “Oga, I can’t lie for you. Just consider me, please!”

“Me, I don tell you wetin I suppose tell you,” the officer quipped.

The Police officer acted like he will not accept it before he decided he was going to tell him a "secret" to help him. This was when he revealed his plan to short change his colleagues.

A mother left her baby crying and gasping for air in a locked car in computer village, Ikeja, Lagos state to get something, only to be rescued by sympathizers.

On Friday, a baby was rescued by sympathizers in computer village after they waited for over 30 mins for the mother who locked up the child already crying and gasping for air in the car to come back.

According to reports by Ọmọ́túndé Olúfúnké, a twitter user, the baby who is less than 2 year old was strapped in a baby carrier and locked inside a Red Matrix LND by the road side in Computer Village, Ikeja. The baby who was crying and gasping for breath got the attention of sympathisers who waited for over 30 minutes for the baby's mother to return.

After waiting and the mother didn't get back in time, they swung into action and forcefully opened the door of the car to save the baby's life.

Ryan Shawcross suffered a horrific and serious ankle break in Stoke’s pre-season friendly with Leicester.

Moments before half-time, Ryan Shawcross, the central defender's left ankle appeared to get caught in the turf and bend backwards as he reached to clear the ball ahead of Leicester midfielder Marc Albrighton.

The game was immediately stopped as the Ryan Shawcross laid on the turf in severe pain after the serious ankle injury as players from both sides rushed to his aid.

Shawcross had to be given oxygen by medics while they treated him and it took them eight minutes before he was led away on the stretcher.

CCTV caught horrible bus accident that claimed lives of 2 drivers at Geri-Alimi underpass in Ilorin, Kwara state.

Two drivers have reportedly lost his life, while seven others were severely injured in an auto crash involving two 18-seater buses along the newly-commissioned Geri Alimi underpass dual carriage road in the Ilorin metropolis, yesterday.

According to an eyewitness, the fatal accident, yesterday morning, was said to have been caused by over-speeding and reckless driving, which resulted in loss of control.

A Mazda with number plates XY 525 FST was entering the state capital, while the second bus, also a Mazda bus with number plates LRN 208 ZA, was leaving the city when they both had a head-on collision.

Nigerian artiste, Mr. Eazi speaks on the expensive cost of data in Nigeria and some other parts of Africa and its effect on businesses.

During an interview on a radio station, Mr. Eazi analyses the expensive cost of data in Nigeria compared to other parts of Africa and the world.

According to him, he has an unlimited data plan in his apartment is London and a 10GB or 20GB data plan in his apartment in  Nigeria but the cost of his data in Nigeria is more expensive than that of his London apartment. Speaking on Ghana, he said, before an artiste from Ghana started doing shows, he was only on a night plan so whenever he tries reaching him, it has to only be at night.

One of the interviewers asked why that was, saying " why is it so expensive, is it because they only want certain people on it?"

Inside a court room in Ohio, a man who killed his girlfriend was attacked by her family members on the day he was due to be sentenced.

It was a wild scene inside Youngstown, Ohio when two members of the family of a woman who was murdered attack her killer.

Dale Williams, 62 was scheduled to be sentenced for the 2017 shooting of his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Pledger-Stewart. Investigators say he confessed that he waited over 45 minutes for her to drive by him on her way to work so he could run her off the road and shoot her.

Just as the victim’s daughter was about to give a statement, one of her brothers, wearing a short-sleeved black t-shirt, leapt at her killer and attacked him. The other brother, with a red t-shirt, then joined in, with footage showing one man punching Williams while the other kicked him.

The killer, in an orange prison jumpsuit, could not ght back as his hands were bound in cuffs. Police immediately intervened to stop the two and tasered the second attacker. He can be heard saying: ‘You killed my mother, man’.

Williams’ sentencing in Judge Maureen Sweeney’s court has been adjourned, NBC reports. The two members of the family were arrested.

Killer of the man who recently returned to Nigeria from Malaysia after 9 years has been revealed to be his blood brother.

Arthur Eze Richie who recently returned to Nigeria after toiling in Malaysia for about 9 years was reportedly killed by assassins in the night. His killer has however been identified as Onyedikachi Alhaji Uchendu, his blood brother.

The Super Falcons scream at the top of their voices while celebrating after qualifying for the World Cup round of 16 at their hotel.

The Super Falcons on Thursday qualified for the knockout stages of the Women’s World Cup for the first time in 20 years. The first time the Super Falcons ever reached made a quarter-final appearance was in the competition in the United States in 1999.

A hospital in Kenya has finally confirmed that two Kakamega girls, Sharon Mathias and Melon Lutenyo, are identical twins.

While browsing, Sharon had come across Melon and sent her a ‘friend request’. No sooner had she ‘accepted’, the request, the two started engaging in a war of words over the authenticity of the other’s online profile.

They were both suspicious of their striking resemblance but after the online altercation they chose to cut off their communication. The two finally met in December 2018 at a bus stop in Kakamega town.

This was prompted by constant mention by their teachers and schoolmates about their resemblance. Soon, their communication became frequent to the extent that they introduced each other to their parents.

The National Youth Service Corps , NYSC, withdraws corps members posted to areas affected by banditry.

NYSC has said that it would not take the risk of posting new Corps members to Local Government currently being invaded by Bandits where many lives have been confirmed lost. NYSC also withdraws corps members already serving in the “war ravaged” areas for the protection of lives of the Corps members.

The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Funmilayo Ajayi who disclosed this while briefing Journalists after the swearing-in ceremony of Corps members at the NYSC orientation camp, Paiko, yesterday, said the safety of lives of those members are paramount to them and that they cannot risk their lives.

“Officials of the NYSC in the areas affected by the bandits have been mandated to send updates of places with crisis to the state office and we will not post any Corps members to these areas because we cannot afford to lose any of them,” Ajayi remarked.

According to her, “Our eyes are on the Corps members for the whole one year; we are their parents and guardians and we cannot do otherwise than to protect them.”

‘’We have recalled all our Corps members from those crisis areas and re-posted them and we will not send any of them to areas where bandits have carried out their attacks.

NAFDAC bans the sale of Sniper Insecticides in open market and supermarkets.

The National Food, Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) has ordered agro-dealers to withdraw popular agricultural pesticide, Sniper, from open markets and supermarkets, to reduce its use for suicide across the country.

The federal government yesterday placed a restriction on the sale and use of the fatal agro-chemical product, Sniper.

The development was made public by NAFDAC’s director, Veterinary Medicine and Allied Products Directorate, Dr Bukar Usman, at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan on Wednesday, June 19, Leadership reports.

Since Sniper hits the Nigerian market, it has become the favourite of most Nigerians, especially the poor for killing mosquitoes and other pests. Similarly, the product has also been abused by many as they use it to commit suicide.

The Ghanaian counselor, Dr Charlotte Oduro who Simi said "your head is not correct" over her advise to women whose men are cheating, reacts.

The counselor while giving women advice on cheating husbands said;

“If you are reasonable and you are working, he is cheating, let him cheat, when he finish, he’ll come because you are too busy taking care of him and making sure he dresses well. An 83-year-old woman has been severely injured and hospitalised following an accident involving Prince William and Kate Middleton’s convoy in London.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were on their way to Windsor from London on Monday when the incident took place, PEOPLE reports. Prince William and Kate were in a Range Rover with four motorcycle outriders and two other cars as they headed to Windsor for a Knights of the Garter ceremony.

According to witnesses, the police motorbike who was a part of Prince William and Kate’s convoy was on the wrong side of the road as it was attempting to clear traffic in front of royal motorcade when it hit Irene Mayor – an elderly woman, FOX News reports.

The elderly widow identified as Irene Mayor was thrown into the air by the impact and landed awkwardly.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital by air ambulance and on Tuesday night doctors said she was in a serious but stable condition with a broken pelvis and other injuries, Sun UK reports.

A man reportedly duped Nigerian policeman and his wife after he pretends to be VP Osinbajo who wanted to give them some money.

A video has surfaced of a Nigerian Policeman who recounts how a man pretended to be the Vice President of Nigeria, Osibanjo but ended up duping himself and his wife. He narrates the whole incident saying he has reported to SARS and will take it up at the Police Headquarters.
