Baddestguyp: One of the most useless reviews I've ever seen
Dude saw just one episode and concluded the series was already better than GOT and Breaking Bad
His HBO paycheck must have been massive...very useless reviewer The guy is laying it on thick, his excitement clearly getting the best of him. However, if there is one platform you can count on to deliver a solid medieval fantasy, it is HBO. |

The Gray Man (2022)
2/5
I'm going to have to agree with Oyaskii on this one, the film is a certified dumpster fire. What made it worse was the fact that it took itself too seriously, otherwise, you'd chalk it off as a comedy or the type of film that requires you to switch off your brain in order to enjoy it.
Grade A talents are squandered here. Worse yet, a sequel is in the works. FFS Netflix.

chuksp09: Thanks bruv, I could have sworn that I read everything published by the author in the Ice and Fire series, seems like I missed this one. It's an informative lore about Westorosi war history. It's not really written like a story, at least not in the way that the ASOIAF series is, but it's worth reading if you want to learn the lore. As a lore junkie, reading about the Targaryens at their pinnacle was fascinating to me. So much lore to digest... The origins of Dany's dragons, the tragic story of Aerea Targaryen, Daemon Targaryen, etc. |

People ain't ready for the brutality of this upcoming HOTD. Imagine gaining the throne and lossing everything else. This is another Daenarys Targaryen story playing out. Although Rhaenyra came first. I swear! If the adaptation is true to the source material, it will be extremely gory. I imagine they could tone down the gore a little. |

Because both the Lord of the rings and the ring of power is similar in nature as it has to do with the rings.know many fans of the lord of the rings haven't even seen the hobbit. The Rings of Power TV show is a prequel to The Hobbit trilogy and The Lord of the Rings trilogy |

OhBritannia: But you know, it's kind of unfair to totally say the ring of power is shiiit because of the views, likes and shares the both series got on Twitter. The reason i feel so is that the game of thrones is always going to have more fans because the last season was just 2019. That's just 3 years ago, so it's a very successful recent series with world wide fan base. You can't compare it to the lord of the rings that had their last film in 2003. Bro this is 2003, we are talking of 18 years ago. For what it is, i will say the ring of power has even tried when it comes to how well the series has gathered online discussions all over the world. Correction: The last film in the Lord of the Rings franchise was The Battle of the Five Armies (2014). |

abduleez1: Lol. I don't buy this idea that bots control the conversation cos I'm not an onlooker when it comes to the Snyder Cultists. I've had engagements with many of them on Twitter and FB so I definitely know what I'm saying. I can easily point out their coordinators to you and I'll categorically say they're not bots but annoying humans with lots of time and dedication. The bots while they add to the hype, for me they don't control the narrative. You have no idea what you're talking about, lol. Only a minority actually comments and stirs up discussions on social media, and a subset of this vocal minority is enough to create a debate where none exists. I've seen several accounts of seemingly normal responses that turned out to be bot accounts. It's well known that bots influence discussions. I'm surprised you're even arguing against this. Where were you when Russian bots successfully influenced the 2016 US presidential election? abduleez1: While I agree that ZSJL couldn't match recent DC releases and the expected wave of viewership, it only just highlights the fanbase as not as BIG. Even at that it's still easily top 5 HBOMax movies for the franchise since it's launch. It's only behind recent DC movies and Mortal Kombat & GvK.
In terms of MOS and ZSJL you are just being bias. Supes movie was good, even if you had a problem with its portrayal of Superman, you'd give it a 5/10. ZSJL was brilliant no cap. It's his singular best DC movie. The Whedon version remains a worthless piece of shite. It's only surpassed by 2016's Suicide Squad.
I also hate his original plan of killing Robin (Di©k Grayson) as well as making Bruce make out with Lois Lane to produce the future Superman, but I won't discredit his work. Let's just agree to disagree. It's pointless to argue with someone who thinks ZSJL is a masterpiece. Lol. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by DandeNumeruno(m): 11:41am On Jul 20, 2022 |
abduleez1: Lol, bro at this point you're capping. It's clear you hate the man.
Granted the Snyderverse has more than twice the amount of bots on normal fan campaigns but that percentage is about 13% of the total fan campaign. So, 87% of the fanbase online campaign are still from REAL people. This has already been addressed in an earlier post. This tiny subset of bots may be a tiny fraction of the total audience, but it controls the conversation. abduleez1: True Snyder weaponized his fandom to drag down ppl he had issues with during JL movie and it was slightly below projections on HBOMax. Just shows the fandom tho loudmouthed ain't as big as everyone thought and still struggled against other DC big movies ie WW84 & TSS. No, it shows that the majority of the online buzz was generated by bots. Isn't it obvious? When the numbers don't match the hype, you know something isn't right. The first week of ZSJL's HBO Max viewership was only 2.2 million. TSS, on the other hand, had 2.8 million viewers in its first three days despite being released in theaters. Hell, The Batman had 4.1 million viewers in its first week on HBO Max after being available for over a month. abduleez1: Snyder movies might have issues especially to the general audience but MOS was good as well as ZSJL which was dope, even tho BVS was wack. His movies might have slightly underperformed in the BO but dude ain't entirely a bad director as you painting him to be. His actions may be malic The man is a fraud. His MoS is terrible, and his ZSJL is just a longer and more boring version of the original. He has no real love for the characters as they are, only for how he wants them to be. His original plan for the Justice League trilogy is an abomination. It goes thus; Bruce and Lois apparently bond over Superman's death and fvck. By the second film, she is pregnant, but she keeps it from Bruce, and Darkseid appears and kills her, turning Superman into a villain. The Flash travels in time to tell Bruce that the child is his, so he ends up saving Lois and dying. In the end, Lois's son becomes Batman. Thank goodness this heinous assassination of beloved characters never transpired. |

People that weren't even DC fans or CBM fans were praising ZSJL even on this thread so I don't get. You mean the same people that panned MoM even though it's a good film? Lol. The fact remains Justice League is a bad film from top to bottom because Snyder has a fundamental misunderstanding of all the characters, and a fundamental misunderstanding of what people can relate to. |

pu7pl3: 13% of the hashtags were from bots bruh, 13% You need to relax...it's just like WizKid, what's the special thing that he is doing that's making him generate the amount of devout fans that he has? don't hate on someone's Grace and tag them as frauds when they did nothing wrong or fraudulent. Is the fanbase toxic? Yes But I don't know how you want him to be able to control that This demonstrates that you have no idea what you're talking about. Lemme show you how bots push agendas. Bots typically account for approximately 5-10% of the total audience. This tiny percentage has complete control over the conversation. They are the ones who are doing most of the talking. At any given time, these bots are the ones who are posting and responding to everything. To an unsuspecting reader, this tiny but vocal percentage is a legitimate representation of what the audience truly want, and so they unwittingly treat it as such. Now apply this problem to this shitshow, and maybe you'll understand why I can't figure out why Snyder still has people defending him. Whichever way you look at it, Snyder is a fraud. |

It's not like he's an auteur or anything close to world-class. He can do no wrong in the eyes of you lot. Honestly... I can't relate. I don't hero worship anyone or go to bat for them, especially when the evidence is overwhelmingly against them. Zack is a fraud who uses paid bots to generate support for his projects and has purposefully cultivated a toxic fanbase to keep critics at bay. That's the truth, you can either get with the program or keep your head buried in the sand. |

Snyder made a string of bad movies, including for DC.
WB wanted their version of Avengers 1, which was one of the biggest movies ever, and inexplicably gives it to Snyder even though all of his movies have underperformed.
Snyder copies basic plot of Avengers 1 movie and “Snyders” it up into a crapfest.
Delivers his early cuts to the studio and everyone is horrified.
WB drags out firing of Snyder until they are able to secure the actual Avengers 1 writer-director, Whedon, to fix Snyder’s bad copy of Whedon’s movie, but gives Whedon no time or resources to accomplish said goal.
Whedon makes several suggestions and requests for major changes to the movie, which WB ignores and declines.
Reshoots are a disaster, everyone hates each other and Whedon clashes with entire cast.
All of this is done while Synder family undergoes tragedy, which is then used as the public excuse as to why Snyder doesn’t finish film.
Final movie is condensed version of Snyder’s cut with a few more jokes thrown in.
Whedon is unhappy with it and refuses to have his name associated with it or do press for it and refuses to work with WB anymore on Batgirl.
Movie underwhelms at box office but is still better received than Snyder’s prior movies. Whedon gets all the blame for box office underperformance.
Snyder then campaigns for 3 years to release his version and weaponizes social media to take down the people who fired him and took over his movie. He specifically wants Whedon and the two main Justice League producers to go down in flames.
WB, under new leadership, is now owned by HBOMax who are desperate for content for their new streaming service. They believe Snyder has a massive fanbase that will sign up for HBOMax to watch his cut of the film. They approve releasing it and give Snyder an additional $70M to complete it.
Justice League actors who had roles cut or altered during the reshoots speak out against Whedon for being abusive as they campaign for Snyder’s version to be released.
Ray Fisher leads the charge and goes on campaign on social media accusing everyone involved in the theatrical cut of the movie of abuse, but media only pays attention to Joss Whedon accusations, which leads to 3 more actors coming forward to say Whedon was a jerk to them. Fisher never actually gives details of the abuse he claims to have suffered and changes his accusations frequently.
Fisher eventually makes some specific accusations against Whedon in an interview for Forbes that are later retracted for being false, and the Forbes writer is fired for printing them.
Everyone now hates Whedon and his career goes down in flames.
Snyder then releases his original copy of Whedon’s Avengers 1, with several newly shot additional scenes incoherently tacked on onto HBOMax.
Snyder version of movie is still terrible and underwhelms on streaming. HBOMax doesn’t get as many views as they thought they would.
Rolling Stone article says many of Snyder’s online “fans” are paid bots that he employed to drum up publicity in order for him to get rehired by WB to make more of his bad DC movies, and to amplify negative stories about the people who took over his movie.
Timeline of the whole saga... |

abduleez1: I don't think so. Joss has a questionable record and Gal doesn't seem like one to lie about things like that. As for Fisher, well Joss could have truly been racist. Dude has the profile of a douch. My main problem with Fisher is lying and trying to smear Walter Hamada who wasn't even aware or at the top of WB, neither was he related in the JL project in anyway. Also, continuously whining on social media and crying anytime something big about DC is about to drop. Dude is beginning to sound like a broken record.
I don't really care about Joss, Jon Berg or even Geoff Johns especially. They can go fvvk off. Sending death threats to Ann Sarnoff, Adam Wingard and James Gunn is just the height of toxicity. Well Kilar is to be blamed for greenliting the project. WB executives surely are still pissed by that singular decision and doesn't matter whether the main head honchos are out after Zaslav clean up. It'll be interesting how Fisher moves on with his career. It was though. There's no denying that some of the accusations were justified, but the man got more than he deserved. |
