Schooling in Uk is far better than France in my opinion.

Because its an English country and you have a bright and quick chances of getting a part time job as student.

Uk tuitions are just tooo expensive

As for France . from my research, its not that bad .
Nigerians are in france surviving and are doing good just like every other non English speaking country.

Tution is cheap and France can also be used to navigate other countries during or after your program...

Knowing showing interest in the language will also aid your life style stability.

as a Nigerian, i believe we will survive anywhere in in world.... irrespective of the language barriers.

Oke00700:
Hi guys, I’m new here .

I intend to study in France for my masters . I am looking to study management related courses. I am also applying to universities in Dijon , Toulouse and BORDEAUX

I wanted to ask you about your experience studying there?
I have searched the whole of YouTube for a Nigerian experience but can’t find.

Could you please enlighten me about studying there? Is it worth it? In terms of getting a post graduate job & pursing residency after?

I’m looking to work part time jobs there to pay of my rent and expenses . I have money for tuition which is currently €3770 per year (Two years)

Is it easy to get a part time job without knowing how to speak french?

I’m already applying to enrol for a french programme here in Nigeria until I leave for studies.

I’m considering the U.K. and France but France because the tuition is cheaper.

Also what documents do I need for visa application?

Should I pay tuition fees before or after I arrive in France?

Can I use my brothers account with more than 10m?

I also have 2.8m in my account.

Also has anyone gotten a scholarship to study in France? How did you get it please

Please help

Thank you

You've got a very good point bro

Yeah, we know it won't be easy getting a job in france as an English student because of the language barriers.

But believe me, Nigerians are there surviving and are doing fairly.

Definitely and with time, you will learn and know the language.

Finland, china, japan, sweden, Netherlands, even Germany. To survive well in these countries, you will have to learn their language.

lol.....Jobs in France

France is a good place and an excellent Tourist Destination....They also have one of the Best business schools in the world..

But for students job....no no no..except you can speak French to at least A2 or B1 level

I love France too..

But on the Jobs aspect....lol
Rather go to Germany.....where you are 100% certain of getting a student job..

No assurance in getting a job in France..

Those in France can come and tell us how much a student can earn..

No hard feelings guy..

God bless us all.

Thank you for your response.

I've also gotten different feedback as regards schooling in france..

I'm almost done with my applications.

Enculer2:

I have done some short stint there.

If you have the opportunity, please go there. Go to France
Travel / Re: Living In France by dandy00: 4:20am On Jan 27, 2020
please are you currently schooling in France.

I would just want you to clarify further as regards your response.

Enculer2:

I think chances are better in France than in Canada, even though I have not been to Canada.

My opinion is based on opinion I have sampled and researches I have made.

People go to different countries for different reasons but the vibes I get from Canada is uber driving, survival jobs etc.

No positive vibes.
Travel / Re: Living In France by dandy00: 9:00pm On Jan 26, 2020
we know Nigerians can survive anywhere in the world irrespective of the situation.

I WOULD ALSO LOVE THIS THREAD to be more active...

Enculer2:

Why not settle in France?

I graduated in the year 2015 and did my NYSC in the year 2016 to 2017. Ever since, getting a job has been something else. Well, last year I took up a teaching job in a private school and the salary is around 26 thousand naira. I have been on it for a year now. I hardly have time for my self considering the number of classes and periods.

I recently got a job with Stanbic bank as a Direct sales agent (marketing) with a salary of about 50 thousand.
I am afraid of taking up the offer because of all these bank targets and how to meet up with the target. I am afraid let me not lose the job I have now and take up this offer and can't meet up with the target.

Pls those that have done this DSA job and others can do well to advise me and give me first hand experience and way of meeting target.
Thanks.

Merci bien, dandy00!
Well...I'm not sure about other provinces, but ON has a French-Speakers' stream:
https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontarios-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream

You'd need a CLB7 and above in all French tests, and at least CLB 6 in the English ones. Amongst other requirements...

grin wow wow wow... congratulation,
Just like that ... i am really happy for you.

Does that means TEF might guarantee us PNP from some provinces

DanMisla:
Quick update:
Got the TEF attestation; Ontario invited me to apply for PNP, the French-Speakers stream, as hoped.
best wishes.

I will advise you that IELTS should be your TOP PRIORITY for now.

You and your hubby should really try hard on IELTS.

please don't think too much about TEF for now... But still, u can start learning french if you want to.. No knowledge is lost. lol

May God bless your effort

Jenolyfavour:
Good evening family, please I am new in this trend. I haven't started anything. I have some questions to ask please?
Note: I haven't completed my masters, though I have submitted for final defence, same with my husband.
1. If I have 8777 and he has 6, 6.5,6,7.5 in IELTS
2. With 6 yrs work experience
3. Age: Early 33 smiley
4. My CRS gives 446

We all know that as of yesterday the cut off point increased to 449.

So am suggesting I start French lesson. I need to get a desirable score in six months, by then I will be through with masters and ECA at least, that is if ASU calls of the strike early enough.

My questions are
1) since this TEF is expensive, am new in French. Do you think I can make it before then? Cos I need to write it just once.

2)What should I start with? I haven't written the IELTS though. I haven't started the preparation either.
What do you think Dearies?

With your tempo of study, please don't relent. God will crown your effort.

you can also download RFI radio application and constantly listen to french radio.with time, you will improve.

some french words are catchy and are very similar to English to understand while listening to french radio. you won't just be tired. grin

its all about determination .

As a french language beginner, you are not expected to be hard on yourself while learning. its a gradual process.

some primary sch and junior sec school french books will be of great help.

Chicagomum:
Hello All,

I started my TEF journey about 2 weeks ago. I knew practically no french word before i began. I have been trying to build up... I have been using Duolingo, Roseta and Rocket. I also try to watch French channels , french cartoons i.e Peppa pig and listen to French radio stations. I dont still understand all what they are saying in those programs.

I am beginning to wonder if watching and listening to French programs are effective at this stage. I am currently on holiday and i study for an average of 3 hours daily. I have contacted a French tutor who will resume on the 11th of January. She will tutor me for 2 hours, 3 times a week.

Do you think with all these i would be able to have B2 across board in June?

I am abit worried with my inability to understand a few sentences although i can pick out some words after 2 week of study. Or am i being too ambitious?

[b]Good day house,

A quick inquiry please.

I have B.Sc (French language) and MS.c (International Affairs) . I feel like evaluating both certificate especially my BSc (French language) because of the language demand in Canada. Maybe it might be useful in the future.

OR should I just evaluate my MSc, earn my points and move on.

please house advise.
