Regardless of whatever sector you work in, the laws in Nigeria are fashioned against you. Those in the education sector, aka private school teachers, have a worse tale of woe than you. Those working as contract agents in the banking sector have it even worse. It is everywhere because the laws don't protect the worker against the anyhowness of the employer, so the employers in almost every sector drive their workers like slave horses and get away with it. Other than maybe the petroleum unions whose workers are usually well off to begin with and maybe the tertiary institutions academia unions whose workers have to go on endless strikes to even be considered, every other one is just a paper tiger, that is if there is even one in the first place.
