stephenduru:
Fayose tackles flooding, visits Ikere Dualisation Project

Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose Friday evening visited water logged areas at the ongoing Ikere Ekiti road dualisation project. The governor said he was there personally to have a look at the affected buildings following complaints by residents that their apartments have been submerged so as to find ways to contain the problem and get a permanent solution.

Mr. Fayose ordered staff of the Works Ministry led by Commissioner for Works, Mrs. Funmilayo T Ogun to within the next one week come up with identification of buildings that will have to further give way to ensure an enduring project. He added that houses built on waterways or those obstructing free flow of water will have to give way.

"I have listened to them personally(the residents), it is obvious we still need to do more concerning the water logged areas, I have explained to the contractor and the ministry officials to sit back, revisit the design and see where we can solve the problem the settlers are talking about so that we can be able to get solution that will be permanent. They will sit back during the week and see what can be done.

"Some houses will have to give way, some of these houses are actually under the water level, they have to give way if we want an enduring environment. They will enumerate and get back to me so that we'll be able to pay compensation and demolish the few houses that will have to give way", the governor said.

Kaponanty:
It appears that my brother, who is a very hardworking and caring man is not staying with his family due to the nature of his work to make ends meet. However, usually visits home at least once in every three 3 months or as time permitted.
Apparently, I was not staying with them until just of recent when my brother and his wife insist that I should stay with them and feel the vacuum of the uncertainty loneliness.
Undoubtedly. my sister-in-law is so caring and considerate but unfortunately she is a philanderer and she has been playing her game smartly until this fateful day when she gave me her phone to subscribe for her. Though its not in my attitude to pokenose but the WhatsApp prompt really caught my attention as it reads "Miss you too dear, please make sure you call me before you come tomorrow" I was really devastated by her grief that she is a green snake under the green grass. To crown it all, my sister-in-law was telling in advance that would be visiting her parents and would pass night with them.
I have no doubt that she is visiting the guy to enjoy herself but in my opinion I intend to call the guy and scare him off my Sister in-law or should I seat my in-law down and counsel her because she always respect and behalf like innocent.
Please what should I do as am really confused Thanks.
yeah right scare the guy and definitely the lady will know and maybe behave herself for fear of been busted

ujoatu:
PASTOR MIKE AGBAHIWE WHOSE WIFE WAS KILLED IN KANO RETURNS, MEETS WITH GOVERNOR OKOROCHA

-Says His Wife Wasn’t Beheaded

-As Governor Okorocha Hails Arrest & Prosecution Of 5 Suspects & Describes The Woman As A Heroine

Pastor Mike Agbahiwe, an indigene of Orodo in Mbaitoli Local Government of Imo State whose wife was killed in Kano by Muslim Fanatics has, for the first time since the incident happened, come back to his home state and met with Governor Rochas Okorocha weekend at the Government House Owerri, with his relations and explained that contrary to the widely read report that his wife, Mrs. Bridget Agbahiwe was beheaded, she was killed but not beheaded.

He told the governor details of what transpired and how the wife was heartlessly and gruesomely murdered in his presence by the Muslim Fanatics and he survived the attack by the grace of God, otherwise, he would have also been killed because the aim of their attackers was to kill him and the wife.

His story, “One Muslim man called Dauda came to my wife’s shop and was washing his leg infront of the shop. My wife told the man to move up a little so that she could arrange her goods, but the man refused. Instead, the man started to molest her, and gripped her neck. In trying to free herself from the grip, Dauda started shouting Alakuba, and angry mob quickly gathered”.

He continued, “When we saw that danger was about to occur, we ran and took refuge in the house of a prominent Alhaji, who is a leader in the area. The Alhaji did all he could to calm the mob down. They refused and called him an infidel, and broke into his house and killed my wife in front of me. And if not the quick intervention of the Police who immediately used teargas to disperse them, they would have also killed me. But they destroyed everything I had both the shop, the car and so on.”

He further stated, “The head of my wife was never beheaded. But the hitting was on her head and with hard objects. The body of my wife is in the mortuary with the head. She was not beheaded as it was widely reported.”

In his response to the pathetic story of Pastor Agbahiwe, Governor Okorocha described Late Mrs. Bridget Agbahiwe as a heroine because it took more than one hundred men and women to bring her down, describing the gruesome murder of the woman as highly provocative, barbaric and the highest wickedness of mankind, and told Pastor Agbahiwe that the Imo State government would share with him and the family in this moment of grief and pains.”

Governor Okorocha said, “The problem is not the death of Mrs. Agbahiwe but the manner of which she was killed. In this country, we must learn to live peacefully. No religion supports killing. Anyone who kills in the name of religion is an evil worshipper, and should never mention the name of God. The cold blooded murder of Mrs. Agbahiwe should be seen as a sacrifice for the unity of the country”.

The governor further stressed, “She died as a martyr. Imo State Government will be with the family in this period of grief, and we shall set up a committee to assist in making sure that she is given a befitting burial. She died a heroine as far as we are concerned, as it took more than one hundred attackers to kill her. Those who killed the woman are cowards. The chairman of the traditional rulers’ council in the state would lead a delegation to the Emir of Kano to make sure that such ugly incident will never reoccur anywhere in the country.”

Governor Okorocha also stated, “We are monitoring the situation and the reports reaching me is that five people have been arrested and taken to court, and finally  remanded in custody in connection with the murder of Mrs. Bridget Agbahiwe. This is good enough. It means the Kano State Government and the Police Command in Kano are working to live upto their assurances to me that they would fish out the killers and make them face the full wrath of the law.”

The governor urged Pastor Agbahiwe not to question God over the killing of the wife, but to bear the whole incident with fortitude.

Just spoke with my account officer now. She said, I would need to apply to the bank stating the quantity of dollar I want to buy and at what rate am willing to buy, the bank would then call me if my proposed rate meets their rate. That they won't tell me what their rate is, I just quote what am willing to buy.

When i probed futtyershe said today rate at their bank is 319 for $.

What kind of Yeye policy is this? So I would need to keep writing letter like am writing a contract proposal for something I need to pay my cash to buy?

Questions begging for answers are:
1. Who has been able to buy dollar cash at the quoted interbank rates (253 - 260)?
2. Which bank sells at these rates?
3. What are the steps to access it?

Please, we need facts not hear say nor online quotes

Hmm, people still want to join Nigeria police, with this their dirty image? People can now do anything for money. Nigeria youths are becoming too lazy that they can take any job, provided they have monthly income. Now the question is, what is monthly income? Rubbish. I have M.Sc in Public Admin but am not working for or with any govt or private establishment. But what I make in 2 weeks, no level 15 federal or state civil servants earn it as his/her monthly salary and I have my time freedom.
Is right time we get our mind off from all this paid job. I do 100% legal business just with my laptop and my good Android phone and am making cool money on daily basis. Police job is one job I can never do no matter how much u are going to pay me. Is just too dirty

INDESTRUCTABLEX:
Good morning guys, I am a graduate from the Premier University and recently passed out from NYSC programme. I have always been into business right from my university days because I crave independence.

While serving, I was also into business. Before passing out, I launched my startup and currently have 2 employees. Although, I studied mechanical engineering, I have no plans to work in the industry, except as a business person utilizing my skills.

Now for the purpose of this post. I have an uncle who has contacted me twice to join the armed forces - police and recently army. He is a politician and has a slot and wants someone from our family to fill the position. I outrightly turned down the police offer but recently army came in and I am having second thoughts.

As a child I wanted to be a soldier but I was an only son. Hell no, there's no way my parents would have allowed me go to NDA. I am 23, ambitious, and still crave independence and financial buoyancy.

I want to find out what the benefits of joining the army are. Specifically as a second lieutenant. Would I be commanding troops? Can I combine it with my business? The latter is my major concern, I don't have plans of touching the salary I get from NA.

Basically, what is my job description, the demands of the job, and the time I get for myself. Thanks in anticipation.

A RETIRED TEACHER THAT RETURNED MONEY TO HIS STATE TREASURY.
After going through the story of a Primary School Teacher that taught for 30yrs and retired at the post of Assistant Headmaster with Gabukka Primary School in Gombe, one will be compelled to agree with the common saying that teachers' reward is in heaven".
Malam Jafaru Adamu Boderi had recently clocked 60years in his life and that also brings him to the end of his carrier as a civil servant. He finally retired in March this year. Today, Malam Jafaru received an alert of amount of over N34,400 coming into his account as his usual salary.
When he saw the amount he knew that something went wrong, so he said to himself that this cannot be his pension because it was the exact figure that he normally receive as his monthly salary. Unfortunately, he had no money nor any little amount to use for transport. He was left with the option to trek down to the bank. He withdrew the money and also trekked from the bank to the State Treasury. He tendered the money, collected his receipt and walked down home. On his way home, his cousin had to give him N50.00 for transport fare to pay for a bike. What a man!
It's my pleasure to share with you the story of this rare breed of citizens. This level of contentment is extraordinary and worth commendation.
For proof of evidence, I hereby attached a photocopy of the Gombe State Government Treasury Receipt with No. 0196241.
I WISH THE GOVERNMENT OF GOMBE STATE WILL CELEBRATE SUCH PATRIOT AND EULOGIZE HIS EXEMPLARY CHARACTER FOR PURPOSE OF PROMOTING GOOD MORAL VALUES IN PUBLIC SERVICE AND SOCIETY.

The lady tells her story below...
“I just want to share my experience, My name is Vera Ikediala. I worked with Bethelmendels Int’l Ltd as an admin Manager. One morning my Boss gave me a cheque to cash N45,000 at Olowu Ikeja branch of First bank. The cashier paid me across the counter, in 1000 naira bills. But because I was in a hurry I did not count the amount.
So when I got to the office I handed the money straight to my boss who counted it and discovered that it was N50,000, instead of N45,000. That means the cashier had over paid me with excess of N5,000. Immediately I went back to the bank to hand over the N5,000 back to the cashier. When I got to the bank, it was obvious the cashier had not noticed her error in payment. I had to explain to her what happened. She was indeed over joyed and thanked me profusely. But what shocked me was that the guy closed to me on queue, who overheard our conversation interjected; “ if I was the one, I would not have returned that money lai lai”. He continued; “ babe you fall my hand. Do you know what N5,000 would do for you”
I did not bother to reply him anyway. For me, I had done the needful Many people might think this testimony is trivial. But let me tell you, that dishonesty is dishonesty. Somebody who keeps N5,000 that does not belong to him would as well keep N5 billion. I am sharing this experience so that many of us would understand that if we show honesty in the little things we do daily, collectively we could rid this country of corruption. I had a an opportunity to keep the N5,000 to myself. My conscience and upbringing won’t allow me. There was no way the cashier would traced the money to me. But God sees all that we do. If I had kept the money the cashier would pay for her error in great pains. But of what good would that be to me? Have a great day...

I'm not saying Umar should be left alone, but why not just be bold and defend your almost 5billion naira theft boldly and come for Umar later, or ask others to come for Umar while u stand to defend your own.

Like it or leave it, you should stand to defend yourself . You should! You Must!

Its okay, if anyone says Fashola and Amechi are also thieves, agreed! But if someone like Saraki who has all the power can't dig and bring out details for us to try Fashola and Amechi, is it common me that will be able to fetch the documents, when I can barely get access to a local government to get my own papers like land survey.

If Saraki will help us fetch details to nail others, good for everybody! But while he does that or he is doing that, let him defend himself openly, anything anything! Saraki must defend himself....he must!

Already, Mr. Saraki should hand over fully all affairs of the senate, m not even saying resign, so wen he is found innocent and can resume back....but now, handover and go defend yourself.
