Everyone who has lived in the South East know unknown gun men are government agencies sponsored to give ipob bad names
This is some mental gymnastics you pulled here

Funny how you forget Soludo is also an Igbo man, yet he must be told what to do, he must be forced to reopen the market

Who told you they sat at home out of fear?

People sit at home as a form of protest

We told you here no body can force igbos to sit at home if they don't want to

What song WERE they chanting during their protest?
So your saying all that talk of unknown gunmen was bullshit, like some people said.

Why are they no more sitting at home? Since it is a form of protest - let them protest the market closure by sitting at home, why are they going public now?

No one sat at home claiming to be terrified,it was and still is in solidarity with NK….soludo cannot decide how the people decide to show solidarity to NK,if the people want 30 months sit at home,it’s the people that will decide that, not Soludo.
In other words, they are in full solidarity with a terrorist anti state group and a convicted criminal, making them a bunch of terrorists and criminals. Anambra state has the right to defend itself and restore law and order.
PoliticsOnitsha Protests: Why The Sudden Bravery? by danvon(op): 3:52pm On Jan 29
These are the same people who sat at home peacefully on Monday claiming they are terrified of unknown gun men, fast forward on Wednesday and they have become so bold and fearless.

Strange how they fear criminals more than they fear the police and army, strange how they take orders from an unelected foreigner than their own elected governor.

Why the sudden bravery?

Has he solved the insecurity problem in Anambra State?
A governor cannot solve insecurity without the support of the people.

When the people give tacit support to criminality there's nothing the governor can do.

EducationRe: Soludo Threatens To Shut Private Schools That Fail To Open On Mondays by danvon(m): 3:44pm On Jan 29
Soludo is doing a great job, he acted a bit too late or maybe he was waiting for Nnamdi Kanu trial to be concluded.

But Soludo should discriminate, he should not punish everybody equally, punish some greater than others, especially the big big men.

SisterAnn:
You make sense. But markets have their own government and it may not go as you think for the others whose shops are open.
Injury for one..
At the end of the day it would be their own businesses that are locked and at risk not the others, no amount of sympathy or audio support would erase the resentment.

PoliticsOnitsha Market: What Soludo Should Have Done Instead by danvon(op): 8:51pm On Jan 28
One thing Soludo doesnt understand is that collective punishment is not really a punishment, let me explain...

I remember back in my secondary school days, a principal accused me of making noise on the assembly ground and asked me to kneel down on the assembly. The strange thing is even though she didnt flog me (i just knelt down) i actually felt more pained and embarassed than any beating i have received in the history of that school and i hated this principal more than i have ever hated any teacher.

Why? Because when those teachers flogged me they didnt flog only me, they flogged the ENTIRE CLASS with me, so i didnt feel the pain that much; but this principal punished ONLY ME for something i didnt even do and that was much more painful.

Soludo should learn how to discriminate, instead of going after the whole market, he should have locked random individual shops and let others be, this would turn the herd mentality (the root cause of sit at home) against itself.

Locking the whole market didnt punish anybody instead it united them. Most people want to be herds nobody want to be an individual.

Soludo should take correction and learn how to break protesters properly.

Lock random individual shops, and let them watch as others make their money.

Paypal seems to be biggest hurdle for remote workers. Banning you for no good reason other than your a Nigerian.

PoliticsThe Return Of Balance Of Power Politics by danvon(op): 8:58am On Jan 18
Balance of power politics is a form a political philosophy based on the idea that when a nation becomes too powerful, they become a threat and they 'might' use that power to impose upon other states, hence for security purposes ensure they never become too powerful by either weakening them or strengthening yourself, it is better to be safe than sorry.

This form of politics was widely practiced in Europe moreso than any continent. The major reason for world war one was primarily because Prussia (Germany) became fully industrialized and therefore it was becoming too powerful at a rapid rate, hence it needed to be checked. Prussia didn't reassure nations when they decided to invade Belgium a neutral country.

But after world war one President Woodrow Wilson of the USA introduced a strange form of politics called 'Moral Diplomacy' he advocated that nations should not work together strictly based on strategic and military interests but instead based on shared moral principles, to this effect he created the League of Nations which he hoped would resolve disputes peacefully and collectively without resorting to wars. World war two however showed just how useless the league of nations was.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, USA officially became the most powerful country in the world, traditionally Europe should have returned to its balance of power politics and try to either become powerful enough to counter the USA or weaken the USA to their level. Europe instead went the opposite direction they reduced military spending and left all their security in the hands of the USA.

Russia would show them the error of that mistake and now USA under Trump is also showing them the error of that mistake.

I think the balance of power politics is finally returning and i think we will watch the United Nations become more and more useless than it is already.

Christianity EtcModern Companies and The Seven Deadly Sins by danvon(op):
One of the core concepts of Christianity that i believe has a powerful effect in our modern world today is the concept of the seven deadly sins.

I strongly believe that these seven deady sins are the quickest route to an unfulfilled and miserable life. However, some companies have realized that they could profit immensely from them and this has contributed to a toxic and miserable society.

Here's a list of the deadly sins and their respective promoters:

1. Pride: Companies like Gucci, Apple and Rolex thrive in this aspect, they sell you a product that gives you bragging rights above other people but somehow its never enough, so to fulfill people's insatiable pride they always come up with newer and newer brands.

2. Lust: Onlyfans, Pornhub and Xvideos, i think this is self explanatory, there's a long list of articles about the side effects of pornography from erectile dysfunction to depression.

3. Greed: This is where Bet9ja, Sportybet, Ilotvbet comes in, thousands of people have completely destroyed their livelihood because of greed, when they lose they bet more and when they win they bet more.

4. Envy: Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, they thrive on envy and comparison, showing people how their mates and friends are living better larger lives than them and forcing people into living fake lifestyle and driving some into crime.

5. Gluttony: Coca-cola, Pepsi, Fanta, and other consumer items we love to eat not because it is healthy but simply because we wish to satiate something in us and yet we are never satisfied.

6. Wrath: Twitter/X is the undisputed king here, the app thrives by making people angry which drives views which drives monetization.

7. Sloth: Netflix, Tiktok, Facebook and Youtube fall into this category, they encourage us to sit down and laugh while the world revolves around us.

What's your take? Is there any companies you might add? or expand upon?

We have been wondering if it is Trumps German Ancestry that is making him behave like the Nazis
but President Eisenhower also had German Ancestry and wasn't like that
Wow i never knew that.

It's crazy that they made a German the Supreme Commander in a war against Germany.
Foreign AffairsTrump's German Ancestry by danvon(op): 9:14pm On Jan 15
In all the condemnation i've seen of Trump, nobody has ever brought up the fact that Trump is genetically German. I think a good reason for this is that Trump's major critics are liberals and one major tenet of liberalism is that a person's blood does not define them. To condemn Trump for being German would be a major contradiction.

Germans have 3 popular stereotypes:
i. They are loud and rude in speech
ii. They are efficient
iii. They have an innate love for war

These were just regular stereotypes until the end of World War 2. After the death of millions, Europe and the USA agreed that Germany should never be allowed to rearm otherwise they might fight WW3

On the American continent however ethnicity was less important that race, it was white, black, latino, asian not English, French, German or Russian, and this is how Donald Trump a German was placed in charge of the most powerful arsenal on earth.

And he has truly lived up to the stereotype.

I'm 100% he will go to war over greenland, his German blood cannot resist it.
