He's making it clear that his true loyalty does not lie with Tinubu

This is the only man that can give him protection.

Bluntemperor:

False! False alarms!
Even the Chinese, Japanese and South Koreans People still have little respect for themselves by bending down to show humility in their greetings!

I agree, now please kindly show me a picture of him kneeling for Asiwaju

and yet he is wearing Tinubu hat...fear humans

The hat looks good on him just pure appearance nothing more, Actions speak louder than symbols.

Kazakhstan, is it Borat country?

What is a sensible Nigerian looking for there?

And they too, they will allow any stranger to enter their country without any proper check up then foolishly start punishing all Nigerians, bloody fools.

Releasing Nnamdi Kanu will be considered a sign of weakness and proof that terrorism works, which would encourage more terrorist acts in the future.

I've said this before, Sit at home was the best way to make sure Nnamdi Kanu never gets released.

Appearances; simple as that, people want to feel a connection to the past and to their traditions and the traditional leaders satisfy that sentiment.

You will be surprised the kind of chaos that ensues when 'appearances' suddenly disappear.

Simon Ekpa never joined IPOB, he always had his own platform and Biafran agitation. How can Simon Ekpa be power hungry when he never held any held any position in IPOB? IPOB has denounced Ekpa many times yet the Nigerian press keep linking Ekpa to IPOB. its all propaganda that has since backfired, they ended up making Ekpa popular grin grin

I think this is the link

I remember a particular post of when Simon Ekpa was announced as the new Radio Biafra host and I know how many people were celebrating.

Someone even predicted he would soon become rogue.

So Simon Ekpa is an IPOB member who became too power hungry simple as that, claiming he isn't IPOB is pointless.

Politics / Re: Lagos Commences Issuance Of Official Statements In Yoruba, Egun & English by danvon(m): 10:49am On Jul 12, 2023
FreeStuffsNG:
The quick to respond "I don't understand Yoruba " crew just got served. Even forms and job interviews in Lagos will be conducted in Yoruba and Egun. Incentives will be given to organisations that adapt to this current reality.

Also, the Yoruba parents and woke will know the meaning of "Yoruba dun" wink

This is LASG helping them and their parents by teaching them the education most of them missed at home. Odun joor! like Radio Lagos 107.5 FM will scream in its jingle.

If you want to be part of the modern Lagos, learn Yoruba. If you are not ready to learn the language, stay back in your village, it's not by force . After all, you can still make it in your village.

The secret behind our success in Lagos is in our Yoruba culture and language, it encodes the spirit of Omoluabi, if you want to succeed in Lagos, go and learn Yoruba.
There is no Badagry indigene who will not understand Yoruba because they're an eya of Yoruba.

Those who hate the Yoruba and forming "I have been in Yorubaland for donkey years" , but can't speak Yoruba are plainly ignorant people. You can not spend years in a place and don't understand the language of your
host anywhere in the world unless you hate your host. I was thoroughly embarrassed when I watched a Mr Obi who has been in Lagos for decades use Prof Pat Utomi as his interpreter for Yoruba Language ,I knew immediately that he isn't serious about getting people to know him. It was the ignorance of Mr Obi displayed in public view. There is no way I can spend that long in Igboland and not speak Igbo.

This policy will help us know those who have mixed ignorance with hatred for the Yoruba their host.

Learn Yoruba and if you can't, no problem, just know that No Yoruba, no Lagos life for you
niyen. If you spend donkey years in Lagos and have mastered Yoruba, it will help you when you return to the village in your retirement because you will see Yoruba corps, Police etc posted to your village and they will appreciate your village more because of you they found there to speak Yoruba with. The other villagers will be envious of you and wish they have your clout.

We don't hate you, we just want those who love us and respect our culture to flourish in our land while those who hate us can stay back in their villages. The sky is big enough!
God bless Lagos state and Nigeria for ever!
Check my signature for free stuffs!

Look I know lots of Igbos who genuinely want to learn Yoruba the problem is the education system the way Yoruba is taught in schools is usually done in such a way that no none Yoruba can actually understand. So they have to work on the education system maybe having a radio station that teaches and translates Yoruba would be welcome.

BreconHills:

And who killed Abacha - was it NADECO? And can you please give some factual evidence for your claim that the Yoruba used violence to rule Nigeria? This is the problem - people just imagine things and then turn around to say that they are true. Wishing something to be true does not make it true.

Waiting for evidence of how Yorubas ruled Nigeria through violence...

Abacha was killed - that is enough for me, he wasn't argued out of office he was killed and his death paved the way for the first Yoruba president in history, it also paved the way for men like Tinubu to rise to prominence. Yorubas gained more from his death than any other tribe in Nigeria but it's needless engaging in fruitless arguments, Yoruba propaganda / diplomacy prevented anyone from looking too deep in the matter.

The idea that you can talk your way into power, freedom or success is pure nonsense and very childish.
Politics / Re: Reno Omokri On Twitter: "When Abiola Was In Jail, The Yorubas Did ... by danvon(m): 5:33pm On Jul 11, 2023
BreconHills:

Violence of the yorubas in 1993? How old were you. Who feeds you all this information?

After Abacha released his killer squad led by Sergeant Rodgers, the NADECO which by the way was not composed of only Yorubas. Lobbied foreign governments to declare Nigeria a pariah state, started radio Kudirat, and created massive strikes which included powerful unions like Pengassan. Meanwhile, people like Bola Tinubu who were forced into exile continued a steady war of attrition against the government abroad 9In fact the road outside the Nigerian Embassy in New York was renamed after Kudirat. There was no violence on the streets outside of Abacha assassination squads. Peter Obi and his ilk cooperated with Abacha and were given plum jobs like chairmanship of the committee overseeing Tin Can Island ports.

Yourubas as Reno rightly points out did not burn Lagos down to force the FG to negotiate. The strikes did not need to be enforced by gunmen because no one was breaking the strike. There was 100% compliance.

I said "diplomacy alone doesn't work" not that diplomacy is useless.

Yorubas made use of both violence and diplomacy, diplomacy alone did absolutely nothing to stop Abacha, Abacha was poisoned not overthrown, there was no coup, no great mass uprising, he would probably be ruling Nigeria to this very day if he wasn't killed, in the end when all is said and done - it was death that overthrew Abacha not any of your pretty diplomacy, in the end Yorubas used violence to rule Nigeria, the diplomacy just whitewashed the whole affair.

And i'm glad you didn't try to turn Asari Dokubo to some intelligent diplomat.

Abiola died in prison but how many Presidents and VP's has the region had since then? What has happened to the northern - igbo relationship that ruled Nigeria in every civilian dispensation until 1999?

His arguments are not shallow. You cannot simply label someone's argument without providing a plausible alternative.

Reno is pointing to the fact that unlike all other tribes, the igbo believe that they can get what they want through maintaining an aggressive behaviour.

Your contradicting yourself, it was the violence of Asari Dokubo that got him the privilege he has now not his brilliant diplomacy and it was the violence of Yorubas after Abiola death that got them the positions as appeasement, diplomacy alone never works.

Northerners remain by far the most violent group in Nigeria with the highest amount of suicide bombers and that is precisely why they will always rule Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Reno Omokri On Twitter: "When Abiola Was In Jail, The Yorubas Did ... by danvon(m): 9:09am On Jul 11, 2023
Lol Abiola died in prison, good diplomacy?

Asari Dokubo was never a freedom fighter he could be easily bribed into silence.

I have never supported IPOB or Sit at home but Reno's arguments are just too shallow every movement that promises change whether personal or societal will always involve some level of suicide or self destruction

Don't mind the ignorants, they think everything about politics is money.

To answer the op question, I wonder what Tinubu is up to too and I don't think another four years is his top objective. In his inauguration speech he said he will revise Nigerian security architecture and as akeredolu said in 2020 at the inauguration of amotekun, he was their don and anything he says goes.
So I think he's going for regional restructuring as his security appointments are skewed towards the south more than the north as normal. My opinion though

Okay, interesting opinion
Politics / What Is Tinubu Up To? by danvon(m): 9:27am On Jun 30, 2023
I've been observing Tinubu's movements lately and i conclude he is trying to consolidate power but why is he in such a hurry? And why is he so symbolic in his consolidation? The only reason I can think of is that he is trying to make a very very bold move that might even be unpopular.

But what is this move? Any ideas?
