I feel like all this controversial presidential pardons are done to release Nnamdi Kanu, Asiwaju's strategy seems to be 'you want me to circumvent the law to pardon a criminal, no problem i shall pardon many with him and i expect you not to complain'

I think this downplays Nnamdi Kanu eventual release, it makes it less heroic because it lumps him in the same category as drug traffickers, kidnappers and murderers. And at the end of the day Nnamdi Kanu isnt that different from them.

Nnamdi Kanu's release would not be the result of his intelligence or heroism, it would not be because the court found him innocent, it would not be because of the protests or sit at homes ... it would be because of the infinite kindness and mercy of Asiwaju.

Personally i don't support any of this, criminals should face the full wrath of the law and that includes Kanu, this would set a bad precedence.

USA can't ban guns, guns made them powerful.

If Asiwaju pardons Kanu, credit will go to Sowore and Atiku not to him.

So expect Kanu to stay in detention till 2028, you have Sowore to thank for that.

Unless Kanu can issue a public plea to Tinubu and we know that will never happen.

This is untrue. The truly nationalist PDP leaders were Obasanjo and Yar'Adua. Jonathan was a bit clannish. And... The Obasanjo administatration was very effective. Primarily because it didn't really care about the tribe of a person as long as they could do the job.

Compare that with someone like Buhari who would put his kinsmen in a position whether or not he was fit.

Obasanjo sacked lots of military officers when he got into power, some of those officers had a history of coup plotting but there were others who were sacked simply so that it wouldnt look like Obasanjo was favouring the South.

Yaradua got elected primarily because he was a Northerner and because he was the younger brother of Late Shehu Yaradua who was killed by Abacha.

Goodluck was elected because of Niger Delta crisis and him being vice to Yaradua.

None of the candidates had any solid political base like Buhari or Tinubu.

Without Buhari majority of Nigerians wouldnt be using Opay or Palmpay and would instead be relying on the unstable Nigerian banks.

Without Buhari Nnamdi Kanu wouldnt be locked up, he would either be roaming around unfiltered or worse - killed.
