I don't agree with this. You might not be perturbed if you plan that your pullets should not be laying by 19 weeks but it is an issue if you didn't. Its not helpful for the fellow who asked the question not to also get the right response and I believe he should answer the question raised on the weight of the bird. In addition can he tell us the breed of the bird he has stocked. This would allow a snap shot review of his posting.

Pls, farmers in the house, my birds of 19 weeks has refused to drop o, and its becoming a challenge to my pocket. Have done all I can as in giving them enough light, water and vaccine as at when due. Pls I need someone to tell me something I have not done.

danyegbule. Your birds should be consuming about 45kg of feeds daily at their age. Therefore, you need not worry about possible under-feeding. Trueigbo. As noted by others; your birds are consuming just about enough feeds daily. It's really immaterial if the feeding trough is empty of food. The important thing is that they have the full complement of feeds for a day; and that is just a little over 2 bags. Success. jamp. How far with your new birds? Delay in laying my hands on needed funds has stopped me (temporarily) from stocking.

Great farmers... Pls my 700 birds of 12 weeks ISA brown (layers) still consume 2 bags a day don't really know if its normal. Note the birds are doing well and we only lost 3 since we started brooding till date.

I have given them gumboro three times, week 1, week 3 and week 5 and lasota twice in week 2 and 6. Thanks so very much @jamp

Can someone help me out here? My birds have been doing well since I brought them at DOC and they are 6weeks today. But since last week I discovered that their stool was blood and I treated with amprosol for 5 days and started giving them multivite but today I noticed that their stool is whitish and some is little greenish with white and watery and they are week and not eating. Should I be worried?

@OP, don't make something out of nothing, I lived in Damaturu for about 14 years. My house was burnt down to its foundation and nothing was salvaged from it. But live continues. Jokes are jokes and I don't think he made that joke to offend anybody. I have friends who were killed during the peak of the Boko Haram stupidity, but their families have picked up their pieces and continue with life.
