stockbull: like i often say, ur reaction to stocks depends on your motives . Every company is bound to get into problem . As for me , i dont think about the problem they may have in the future as am not a value investor and i will never be. If you want value stock , banking stocks are still good but there are other sectors that would do well too . As for me , i dont trust the banks now. They are weak . They failed to top gainers chart and even when they do, not with significant gains . If u can tolerate banking stocks with their crawl -like movement and 1 step forward 2 step backward, you will smile with profit.

excelsiorfarm: if any shares is going public,you see it all over the dailies,tv etc.Except it is a private placement.you want to buy shares get a broker,i mean a reliable one,tell him your choice of shares and ask him to register you on cscs.The reason of cscs is that you can get update of your shares on phone or online,you dont need to carry paper that can be misplace,eatten by rat etc.all shares are on the floor so you need not wait for any new share sales.Let me give you a TIP- Naturally most shares drop in december because many will be selling to do the festive period.Its good time to buy,also penny stocks from active sector of the economy is a good.Ask your financial advisor for advise and there are financial institution that will help.Safe investing to you

excelsiorfarm: every day you have d shares quoted on d floor or dailies available,but b4 u buy why dont u get a paper or a stockwatch magazine & check your desired choice of purchase.The question is what are u checking & d answer is check d high & low of d share this year then compare it with d current price.From this little analysis,you know if d current share price is high.though there are factors that determine this like is dividend about to be paid,availability etc.safe investing to you.
