CultureRe: Question To The Fulani Folks by DaRapture: 6:43pm On Aug 15, 2011
So basically, the Hausa simply live a life of mental enslavement to the Fulani, and this is the reason why the North remains so far behind the South in all facets of life; the Fulani want the Hausa and other northern groups to remain ignorant and out of touch with the want and need for progression past vast mediocrity, because an ignorant people make for better subjects to rule over and control.

Makes perfect sense. The faster the Hausa and other northern groups take a stand and end this Fulani metal subjugation over their minds and lifestyle, the faster the North will grow from being a national terror and leach, in to an actual equal productive partner.

My father's fulani and mother hausa and I speak Hausa, so I called myself Hausa (also because most people, both european and african were more familiar with hausa it was easier) until some of my family chastised me, saying I degrade myself because my late father was proud fulani man and would be dissapointed that I'm calling myself a 'mere hausa'  undecided

I think it's a question of pride. After looking into the History of Fulanis I now understand, and I wrote about it in my blog post: http://hausanigerian..com/2011/07/difference-between-hausas-and-fulanis.html

And I don't think Fulanis from different countries know enough about each other, mostly because most other Fulanis in Africa are from french-speaking countries (Guinea, Mali etc) and speak French and Fulfude, whilst most Fulanis in Nigeria speak Hausa/English. Also some Fulani sub-groups like the Wodaabe have very different customs (men paint their faces and dance for the women)
"mere Hausa"? Humm, that sounds pretty prejudiced to me.

What's the point of this question? I can't stand $tupid people. It doesn't matter where you're from. If you don't shower, you'll smell bad. I've come across smelly Afro-Americans and smelly Caucasians. See how $tupid you are, annita19 and DaRapture?
LOL, since when did you start using Afro-American instead of African-American? LOL. Are we feeling a bit more disconnect lately behind kisser?  undecided

The British news just told me that all of you Afro-British are a bunch of violent crooks, who cause all kinds of murder, havoc in the UK and are always on the prow looking for the slightest importunity to riot, steal, and cause mayhem as the current riots have just shown to be true. I think I believe them. Because the majority of those I've seen running around going Ape shit were black, and as you've assumed in reference to AA in the US, I'm just going to have to believe them since I'm not from the UK.

It's funny how most of these dudes fill there music videos up with loads of Mixed and or very mixed looking girls, along with non-black Hispanic women, yet end up marrying and starting a family with non-mixed black women.

Get married for what? Don't you know most marriages in this nation end in divorce soon after. Whether you wait or not, it doesn't matter, the end result will most often be the same when it comes to Americans.

hahaha I do agree but you know that they are pretty good friends right?
They are more than pretty good friends, they are FIRST cousins. Their dads are brothers, and Kelly was actually raised by beyonce's parents, in their home for most of her childhood life. Beyonce's father took over custody of Kelly when she was like 8, because Kelly's parents slipped into a cycle of drug addiction and couldn't properly care for her anymore.

So while Kelly and Beyonce are in fact cousins, they were brought up together as SISTERS, they were VERY CLOSE, and then when Destiny Child ended and they decided to go solo, Beyonce's dad, showed bias in his promotion of the two girls solo careers, putting much more time into Beyonce than Kelly.

This soon lead to a big rift between Kelly and Beyonce's dad, and soon this began to effect Beyonce and Kelly's relationship, though Beyonce's mother made sure that they never allowed this music business to totally destroy their sisterly bond and love for each other, and both Kelly and Beyonce spoke of that on many occasions.

When Beyonce was putting out major successful albums back to back, Kelly was usually the first one to go public congratulating her on her success, and speaking highly of her cousins talents and perseverance, despite the minor personal issues they had in their relationship, and the disconnection she was going through with Beyonces dad, who eventually even went as far as dumping Kelly from his management group.

Kelly is a beautiful women, with a beautiful heart and unflinching loyalty to her family, who despite at times being treated like an outsider, she's never once badmouthed any of them publicly, and Beyonce has maintained the same respect for Kelly in the public. I truly respect their relationship.

I pity you. Chai amiko.

The white man has taken dignity, language, culture, reasoning, and sense away from you through slavery and now look at your situation. What can I get in America that I cannot get in Nigeria? As if America is truly a land of milk and honey with golden streets.

But I want to ask you, were do you come from? Do you know? Who were your ancestors? How did you get to America? Can you trace your lineage back five generations?
The white man this, the white man that. LOL. You sound so pitiful. What has the white man done to your ignorant African Asz that your own Nigerian people haven't done to you multiple times over? Answer me that, you ungrateful, Bigot.

And you ask, what can you get in this nation in which you cant get in Nigeria?  cheesy Well, obviously a brain and intelegence isn't on the list, if one was to judge upon your sorry dense self.  cheesy Damn, the embassy staff member who let you slip through the cracks needs to have their behind fired ASAP, and only an  would even attempt to indulge in a question of such mammoth idiotic level, but I will say this; if your sorry asz truly feels as though there is nothing here in which you can't achieve in your bum asz nation, then as I've stated before,  perhaps you should do us a huge favor and pack your chit and carry your funky self back to that dump you've so unnecessarily slithered yourself out of.

By the way, as is the case with most AA,  I come from many various groups of people, and in my case it's the German, Scots, Cherokee, and Igbo, and I trace my ancestry back 15 generations in this nation, all the way back to the early 1600's, so suck a Dicky back to Africa, you dirty Ape.

[quoteWow. You do know folks that hate black people in general will say that disgusting comment to any black person, right? Seriously, what the bleep?]

Right, but the difference in this case is that the ignoramous of discussion is an actual visitor to this nation, and has been blessed with the retractable right to be here to take advantage of that in which it's obvious his sorry ass nation could not provide him, and yet he has the nerve to be here complaining about the nation and it's people whom built it. Yeah, so it's an acceptable FACT that THAT AFRICAN NIGGAA can take his sorry ass back to Africa if he has a problem with the way we do things here. Simple as that, African Ass Kisser.  grin

Hello everyone. Id like to discuss the absence of proper "ethnic" recognition of our various ethnic origins in the West. Im sure many of you who live abroad in the USA or Europe may have come across a form like this.

Check your ethnicity:

[ ]White

[ ]Hispanic

[ ]Black/Afrcian American

[ ]Asian

[ ]Native American

[ ]Other please state:______

As for myself forms like this anger me since there is no clear option for my ethnicity. I am not "black" because black is a skin colour not an ethnicity and I am not an "African American" since I am not the descendant of slaves. And most of the time such a form does not even leave the option "other" restricting my ability to properly identify myself. Ive had second thoughts of sueing such organisations for not giving proper respect to my ethnic origin or properly allowing me to identify myself.

I'd like to know how those of us here in Nigeria and and Abroad feel when confronted with such forms and how you go about answering them.
Well, there is a simple solution to your problem; TAKE YOUR TRIFLING AFRICAN ASZ BACK TO AFRICA, and you wont have to worry about it. cheesy

grin I am an American White girl marred to a fine nigerian man and I just want to say that my man treats me like a Queen from day one. I am proud to be part of the Nigerian culture. I thank God everyday for bringing me such a caring and loving man.
Although we are still waiting on his visa to come through I still trust and believe he will not change once he is over here. But, my feeling is this if he is using me for a visa to this country so be it. No different then an American man cheating on me and leaving to be with another woman.
All my Nigerian friends and families are great.
