Foreign AffairsRe: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by darfur(m): 6:19pm On May 26, 2008
@nigerians
remove the log in your eyes b4 looking at the spec in the south africans' eyes
xenophobia is not peculair to south africans. it is global. the response to it is what makes the difference
in nigeria, countless times there have been reported killings of ''foreigners'' who are actually fellow nigerians from other parts of the country to the tune of thousands of deaths per riot episode. and this goes on from time to time since I953 till today, no less than 20 times including the ifamous pre-civil war pogrom in the north in which an estimated over 30,000 easterners were killed in the north to the more most recent denmark anti-mohamed cartoon riots where over a hundred were reported to have died.

let us build our country with honesty, and diligence. otherwise we'll be pushed aroud wherever we go. i wont be surprised if it happens somewhere else(even UK grin )

as for SA, make FIFA no comot world cup for una hand o

PoliticsRe: What Factor(s) If Improved In Nigeria Would Make You Move Back To Naij by darfur(m): 6:22pm On May 22, 2008
the execution of ALL members of the PDP and all other elected officials in the country
PoliticsRe: What Must We Do To Fix Nigeria? by darfur(m): 7:02pm On May 21, 2008
for now we can stop hero-worshipping the rich fools that looted our nation. no more kabiyesi greeting for the obasanjos at village meetings but booing them will start. no more cheiftaincy and religious titles, put them to public shame whenever they step out of their homes(but no violence--yet) make their stay uncomfortable, boycot their companies(for those who invested in naija)

then on election days, we fall out for war. make sure they dont rig. follow ballot papers from polling booth to inec
engage the police whom they use to rig, educate those officers that they are the biggest fools b/c they rig the elections, these men enter office and loot and wont even give them. they remain wretched

when we overcome rigged elections, nation building starts. until then, noisemaking prevails.
today it is south africa, very soon indonesia and azerbajain and uzbekistan, india, pakistan, myammar etc will attack the nigerians in their country. and then togo and cameroon will follow suit, and then chad, niger and darfur/sudan will do the same. . . until we are ready to build our nation

PoliticsRe: What Must We Do To Fix Nigeria? by darfur(m): 6:36pm On May 21, 2008
free and fair elections ---> politicians will be careful or else they will loose re-elections----->only reasonable nigerians will be elected----> when elected they will be sensitive to nigerians-------->they'll be under pressure from their party members who would want a good party record so they can win elections when they are party nominees------> they are under pressure from the natn assembly who want their constituents to see they are good and who may want to be popular so they can contest elections-------> they are under pressure from the press who are looking for pitfalls to make news and sell their papers-------> with all these pressures they want to leave a legacy------> they build schools----->hospitals------>create jobs-------> intelligent naijans from universities will have a chance to build their own nation - -----> those withou jobs will have hope that they'll get jobs later and stay back in the country----> reduced immigration and increased home effort------> etc ---> better nation

very simple, free and fair elections cool

the rogues in power know this, they know it will hurt them, so they fight to keep flawed elections. our fight should start on election days. dont let them rig. it can be done, bishop obinna did it in owerri in 2003 and made sure it was not rigged. . . owerri sent the only APGA candidate to natn assembly from the south.

it can be done

yes we can cool

both the black south africans and their nigerian brothers are victims of a horrendous system

I think some people are deliberately on this thread to divert attention from the issue on ground.
As I said earlier I miss the courage and boldness of Muritala, Idiagbon and Abacha. If these men were still in power the story sure would have been different.
welcome to democracy grin you asked for it.

by the way, this is not just xenophobia. xenophobia is very very very natural. check your history. build your nation and people wont see you as a usurper but as a foreigner. if you come from a shitty country people see you as coming to take their jobs. it is natural.

Anyone heard anything else on the situation?
darfur refugees are attacking the nigerian refugees amongst them who came in as military peace keepers but took off their uniforms and claimed to be refugees . . . so they can get free bread and hopefully assylum in chad  grin grin
