Fellow Nairalanders, pls beware of people that go about hiding fake monies admidst real ones to spend to unsuspecting victims o. I fell victim today at my place of work (place wey i just dey manage for 5k per month pending the end of strike before i go back to school atleast make i take buy foodstuffs go school reduce stress on my guardian). The woman came in and bought an appliance worth #8,500 and then deliberately and carefully placed one fake #1,000 note in between. Painfully, that's the only sale I made today. Boss came back, i happily handed over the money to him and suddenly, he just fired up "What is this, are you blind?" i was shocked when he showed me the fake money. He then angrily left the whole money on the table for me to look for the woman (where i wan see her) and give him his complete original money latest by tomorrow or else, he'll deduct a whole 2k from my salary (that's if i even complete 1month before ASUU calls off the strike, i started on Monday 7th), 1k to replace the fake 1k and the other 1k for being careless. I'm just confused as i don't even know what to tell him tomorrow. I blame FG and ASUU for this sha! Me wey suppose dey school dey prepare for new semester, dem take their own put me for gbese. Anyways, that's my story. Just wanted to warn you guys to be careful not to fall victim like me. |
From a very reliable source... Traditional marriage between Adekunle Gold and Simi currently ongoing at Simi's mother's residence. Only about 300 close friends and family members were invited. White wedding to take place on Saturday on a popular beach in Nigeria. Adekunle Gold actually proposed to Simi on the day they kissed on stage. (Remember then?) Hold your breath for the official news from either of the duo. |
This is a road i ply occasionally, it's been like that for as long as i can remember with the govt turning a blind eye towards it tenure-in-tenure-out. There's however a rumour going around that the construction of this road has been approved and full payments made a long time ago but embezzled and constitutionally, a road should last for about 50yrs or so before any major work can be done on it, that's why past govt have been neglecting it. I can't verify the authenticity of the rumour but with the negligible attitude of past govt, it's looking like it, as they'll all feel cheated covering someone else's ass. |
scholarsarena:I have signed up in your site more than once, no reply, Not even a confirmatory mail |

I hope our African learn one or two things from this write up and stop raising their daughters like a Cadet under training. sadly, the male child is trained with less strictness. Children shouldn't be given too much freedom either, I see some American movies and see how children talk back at their parents and I be like... "try this with an African parent, Sango wee just kee you that day". My point... let's put moderation in handling these things. |
Oga, are you done? Your father's wealth helped give you a good head start. |
No one? |
Is there a platform where one can register on to get free alerts or notifications whenever there's a scholarship opening? |
If you're a current student of laspotech, Isolo campus or you stay very close to the school, pls quote me. I need you to help me make an enquiry on something very important over there (just outside the gate, beside the bridge) to aid me in preparation for a mission to the place (I'll be coming from a very far distance and wouldn't want to embark on a fruitless journey). Thanks in anticipation. My whatsapp digit: 08026608817 |
rachealfst:My pleasure |

But this jamb issue is taking so long o, by this time last year, registration was rounding off. I just hope they won't end up having problems because the new registration process would be tedious and time consuming, time which they might end up not having the luxury of. |
Oh God, i'm so much enjoying this story. |

Still following bumper to fender, good story and timely updates, thanks Rachealfst. In other news, I think an Americana is going to get married to a Nigerian teacher, lol. and an oil company worker will loose his job cos he got the job through the influence of a girl he met and decided to marry in order to secure the help and when the union went sour, the 'job collateral' was retrieved. ...And to some people that are quoting the whole update before posting, you guys should grow some brains mehn. |
@Rachealfst, thanks for the mention. |
A friend of mine(educated) once argued with me that exposure of the eyes to firewood smoke(not excessive though) has no negative effect on the eyes, that in fact, it makes it sharper, citing examples of grandmothers in the village who are exposed on a daily basis and are still able to read the bible without the aid of glasses. I didn't agree with him though but it kept me wondering... Could he be right to some extent? |
jasminecoker:i'm very certain you know the answer to your question, are you looking for someone to mislead you or give you false hope?%-) UNILAG doesn't admit students in your age bracket, irrespective of your academic grade. |

My attention has been drawn to a new directive by the federal government to ban all specialised universities (universities of agriculture, universities of technologies) from running courses that is not reflected in their names (e.g Law and Accountancy). This is a good news as well as a sad news but that is another topic entirely. My main concern however, is the fate of the current students as well as recently admitted students(which i happen to be one) into these departments, should the development be duely effected? I would appreciate if you guys(staylites or any other more informed member) could shed more light on this issue for clarity sake. Thank you in anticipation of a prompt response. |
