Indigenous Latin Americans tend to be short and underdeveloped due to years of malnutrition as result of the Spainiards, Criollos and white hispanics harsh rule rule over them.
Nope.

Yes they tend to be short but its mostly due to a combo of genes and diet. The US food is mainly GMO.

We better start well by beating Burundi like children.

They ought to be put in their place ooo. Mikel alone should be worth more than all the players and coaching staff combined grin wink cheesy

Nigeria cannot be a constant because we are part of the variables in the eqaution.

Nigeria has been differentiated already with respect to France and Argentina differented with respect to Scotland.

Now the next variables to be differented are DCameroon/DNewzealand and DThailand/DChile.

At the end of the first order differentians the top 2 two variables differented will join 2 other previously differented variables as part of the 4 best variables.

QED. grin
We will face it tough in the next stage.

Keep celebrations to a minimum. Not as if we performed well though. Just one win in 3 games at this level after how many years of participation is nothing to write home about. We only seemed to improve marginally in this tournament else the whole performance was a shit show.

Name callers and sewage mouths would be rightly ignored

Congrats in advance to the falcons. We have the Argentine to thank for never giving up. Hopefully, our ladies can learn from this.

Also, this has proven some of our earlier theories wrong. Upsets do happen in female football and I hope we will be the side to cause upsets as the tournament progresses

Let me tell you the plain and simple truth Darkelf. Don't be offended.

You whine too much and you're too pessimistic on the chances of the team. Proceeding with caution as per expectations from the team is okay afterall they're not blowing every one away but yours is not so. You're way too pessimistic. Too pessimistic to be a fan.

Based on your comments you should hide your face if they make it out of the group stage.
Normally, I would just ignore your comment but since you haven't quoted me before in such a manner, I want to make somethings clear to you.

1 Not everybody is a blind optimist. Fan or not, I see something wrong, I say it without fear or favor. I am not here to please anybody.
2 Playing down our chances does not mean i am not an ardent fan. For the sake of time and space and because I owe no human (either living or dead) any explanation, I wouldn't want to go into some funny and unthinkable things I have done to support the SE right from my childhood days
3 Being optimistic/pessimistic does not in anyway affect the results on the field of play. If you like, downplay Messi's chance of scoring a goal in a match, he will still score. If you like, argue in support of Enyimba against Liverpool in a simulated Club World Cup tie, chances are that Enyimba will get beaten mercilessly like a child caught stealing. This brings me to my next point.
4 What we are doing here is sharing our opinions. Everyone has a right to it. Name-calling and tags such as hater, tribalist, and telling another person to hide his/her face is downright Childish. As I said earlier, I would have ignored you because of this.
5 It will behoove you to know that despite my pessimistic stand, I really hope we shine at the AFCON. I would be a sadist to hope we fail so that I can gloat and say "I told you so".
6 I once kicked against Mikel's inclusion because I felt the over-dependence on one man may hurt us. Yet, my opinion was met with the expected; ranging from name-calling and unnecessary bile to immature displays of childishness by many members of this thread. However, I was impressed with his performance against Zimbabwe and he is gradually winning me over.
7 If we succeed, I will celebrate to my hearts content and no petty threat(s) will stop me from airing my opinions here going forward.
8 Many so-called optimists here are pretenders and will display their true colors when their favorite player is excluded. We all know of a certain moniker and his breakdown upon Nacho's exclusion. I bet you that if Rohr had dropped Balogun or Ighalo or Mikel, we would see similar mental breakdowns from other closet SE fans.

All in all, good luck to the SE. May be best team win

Lesson for Falcons; loosing your first match may come back to hunt you later.

If they had produced last Night's display against Norway, it would have been a different result.

Now, we are calculating.. embarassed

She has been amazingly below average to say the least.
Still, its highly unlikely she will be relegated to the bench. In soccer, every coach has his preferences which may be tied to the prestige of such players; Oshoala in this case.

So, let's just hope she becomes better. If not, I doubt they will drop her oooo

Andrew, we are like one family here. I don't think anybody here would result to harboring hard feelings of hate towards another on a faceless forum. I personally don't.
While I know we each have our unique personalities, you still need to calm down sometimes and not let words get to you. That's why you're readily belligerent. It is like your default setting. I have once pointed this out to you when we had a little disagreement on a soccer concept. Dey take am easy sometimes...ehn

2 French players in the box. Clear daylight robbery. And they have the gall to celebrate as if they did on their own merits (or lack thereof).
One Nigerian player was in the box as well

What is good for the goose is good for the gander

Apart from the penalty controversy, I must applaud the discipline that the girls showed tonight. They played with a heart driven by victory even though we lost. We hope this attitude translates to a victory in our next match, should we qualify.

But we need to learn to counter more effectively. That and a few defensive tweaks and we are set. Our opponents holding the ball with 90% possession doesn't really matter to me so far we do the scoring.

All in all, great game Falcons and all the very best

They could win this game. The French team will tire out by the 70th or 80th minute a good counter attack for Nigeria will make the difference
If only it were that easy. Substitutions are there for a reason you know.

A goal from us early in the second half should do the damage. They will start making mistakes from there

It is a basic football attribute that is learnt in academies

If you see a player that has passing and trapping problems they probably didn't go to an academy
On this, I agree but for these ones in the Senior teams already, what can be done to salvage their situation?

Our pass accuracy was 66% against Korea, I don't think I've ever watched a match with a low pass accuracy
This "passing" of a thing as basic as it seems, has been the greatest undoing of the Senior National teams in recent times. I wonder what can be done?

"We went to Germany in 2011 and lost 8-0 in the preparation for that tournament but in the actual World Cup they struggled to score against us. We know France are a good team though."
Team-mate Oshoala added: "You can't beat my country 8-0 and come back and do it again. No way!
"We have to go all out against them. We want them to know that was just a mistake. We have to return our image. It will be an interesting game."
