Danielnino00: We have only failed to make it to the semi final three times out of 17!!.. Rohr may be tactically clueless, but the opponents we will be facing at the AFON arent any better... Don't bank your hopes on that No minnows. Everyone wants to prove a point and the results from recent friendlies would spur the smaller teams to reach for greatness. Always respect your opponents |

In the run up to the World Cup, we scored against Poland or so, but the play was what was awful and the scoreline flattered to deceive. Alright. Till then. |

Those are just ramblings of a dooms prophet. How can you make conclusions based off a match you did not watch?
Later, they will say some of us are emotive. See, I am not against the success of this team but i am worried and rightfully so We haven't scored in two matches. I will take a loss in which we scored. We had the same issues during the run up to the WC and even while we all made excuses for the boys, it reflected in their play during the tournament proper. |

Mickael2:
Rohr is concealing his tactics according to the master himself Icon4s. Either that or the players are saving themselves for the tourney proper, why injure yourself in a friendly game or play your best game when tournament never start . These are the deluded remarks we heard last year prior to the world cup, this year again the team is busy going to the beach and other relaxation centers, and I am wondering how that will help their performance. I remember in the previous world cup, the English team routine was train, sleep, eat and FIFA game breaks, the only reason why FIFA games were even accepted was because it improves your movement as a player but no, we are going to the beach to 'enjoy' ourselves days to a tournament. Make we dey look.
On the other hand if we did play a midfield 3 of Ndidi, Mikel and Iwobi then it is easy to see why the team didn't score. It is clear from this formation that Mikel will sit deep and Iwobi will be ahead of Ndidi and Iwobi likes playing one-twos, is it with Ndidi that he will play that? Ndidi isn't good enough to play that at all, then ahead of Iwobi you have Chukwueze who is more concerned with beating his man than playing short quick passes and Ighalo who would rather play a more direct football, you can then see that this team cannot possibly play to Iwobi's strength in that 3-5-2 formation. IMHO if we play a 3-5-2 then Mikel should be in the AMF role, Iwobi as the second striker and whoever starts in the forward role can start, at least Iwobi will be able to combine with Mikel and play one touch football and open up the defence, either that or Iwobi goes to the bench totally, it is not as if he ended the season on a high note anyways.
But make we wait for highlights at least I agree bro. You have said it all. Not sure the highlights would be released though |

Lucque: Some of u guys here never cease to amaze wen some coaches brag abt their teams nd how they will go all d way to win games nd trophies... Ud come here nd start saying they only know how to brag or wag their mouths.. Rohr is talking small nd removing d pressure off d players nd allowing dem play their football free of d burden of expectation nd u ppl are complaining... Lemme ask those smart enof to think... Has rohr ever played defensively or played a formation dat looks like we want to sit back nd take a beating even tho he always says we arent favorite??
If u believe dat just because d coach says we arent favorites it will make d players want d trophy any less den ur just not thinking straight
Nd if u believe he will not lose his job if he performs poorly with d team just becos he is calming down expectations den ur just a learner (No offense?)
So ppl should just chill Abeg gustav gimme dat ur L picture What people are saying is that his choice of words to describe his team seem to be doing more harm than good. They are citing the WC 2018 as a perfect example. While I understand the need to make them play free of pressure, the wrong words could kill their confidence too. As i said earlier, its the pep talks behind the scene that really matters sha |

Danielnino00: As average as our squad is,we still have the quality to rival the best teams on the Continent... we have the talent bro..we always have..
Rohr is the problem here..His tactic is the major undoing of this team.. I used to like him until I saw his lineup against Croatia... what made me even madder was the fact that he played enough friendly games that showed us the best formation that would work for the team against European oppositions and the best players for each role..and he went ahead to start with a 4-2-3-1 and Shehu..Iwobi on the flanks . I'm still mad about it bro..still very mad..
If he won't win us the AFCON or at least get to d final with some really good performance he should be sacked!! On this I quite agree with you but note the word "Quite". While Rohr definitely employs wrong tactics with little attacking play, you will agree with me that he has been instrumental to the development of some of our young players, ensuring they sign for the right clubs and get good playing time. And he had to build thi present squad from scratch notwithstanding the trial and errors. We ought to at least give him credit for that |

terzurum5: Transfer: Super Eagles forward to cost top European clubs €63million.
By Ifreke Inyang
https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Samuel-Chukwueze.jpg
Villarreal have slapped a €63million price tag on Samuel Chukwueze, L’Equipe reports.
Liverpool and other top European clubs, have been recently linked with the player, who shone in LaLiga last season.
Chukwueze, 20, cost Villarreal only €500,000 when he joined them a season and half ago.
The Spanish club have a contract with the Super Eagles winger until 2023, but clubs who wish to sign him before then, will have to splash out €63million, which is the release clause on his contract.
Chukwueze scored eight goals and provided three assists in 38 matches in all competitions in 2019/2020 campaing.
https://dailypost.ng/2019/06/14/transfer-super-eagles-forward-cost-top-european-clubs-e63million/ I don't see this boy going anywhere this season. For those clubs that may still be willing to take a huge gamble, they will probably wait till after AFCON |

Icon4s: Ighalo and Onuachu are not strikers with exceptional abilities. Osimhen though talented but is still young and still much work in progress.
I know people may want to blame it on supplies from the midfield and wings. But, even with the quality of our Wingers and midfield, our attack is not something to brag about. I will wait till our first match of AFCON to form an opinion. While they may look good on paper, their performance in a real, competitive match is the major decider of quality |
