If we are worshipping Iheanacho like this, what would have happened if we had Salah or Mane? We would have begged Okorocha to erect a statue for them in Imo state and Abuja |

elyte89: Ur analogy of rohr system not favoring nacho to me is so myopic, normally when one expresses his point with gud english sentences, one will sound intelligent ,but na lie...safari gave a point of him scoring 10goals under rohr, den it was favourable, because he's no longer scoring, rohr system is no longer favourable
He has played under 3different managers, pep, puel and now Rodgers...yet to u d system is not offensive enuf
Oga make we hear word,u re not plausible with ur points,it's getting absurd,is he d only player in d team
Its like saying a student who studied in University of Ibadan came out with third class, blaming d system for d failure,he took a new undergraduate course again in anoda african university, still came out with third class, tried another university in europe again, came out with third class again,is it d system u will still blame or d student?
Maybe till when nacho plays in 7different clubs/leagues, he will get d right system This fact alone kills any argument. How can you play under three different managers and you can't perform well? Then the problem is with the player |

andrew444: Madam it seems you are concerned about the goal he didn't score against mancity ?
So if he scored against mancity he has had a nice season and he will go to afcon abi just because he help Liverpool win the league ?
Either kelechi scored against mancity or not it can't change the fact that he has been bad this season and he doesn't deserve afcon spot ,no need for all this your long talk of not scoring against city ,I can see why you are angry with him it's because of that goal
My naija people I hail una o ,so a goal against mancity will send a player to afcon ? And it will make it a better season by making it 2 goals in 30 games ? She didn't say that he will surely have gone to AFCON had he scored, she said it could have given him a chance |

safarigirl: If you see up to 3 goals in this game, dem try be that.
You imply that the defenders are poor, hence the goals. Nigerian defenders are very good, so, I am not expecting plenty goals in our net, neither do I expect Senegal to open net for us. So, anybody who expects plenty goals should get ready for disappointment I agree with you on this. Both sides have good defenders and I don't see either ides as consistently high scoring sides |

'Nigeria Will Probably Give Us A Hard Time' - France Coach Ahead Of Last Group GameFrance coach Corinne Diacre expects a difficult game when they face Nigeria in their final Group A match at the Roazhon Park, Rennes on Monday, June 17. The hosts maintained their one hundred percent record at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup this evening, beating Norway 2-1 thanks to Eugenie Le Sommer's game-winner from the spot 18 minutes from time. Nigeria brightened their chances of making it to the knockout rounds following their 2-0 win against South Korea in Grenoble. Speaking at the post-match press conference, Diacre said : ''As far as Nigeria team is concerned, I'm just looking at one match after another so I haven't thought yet about anything concrete on Nigeria. ''I am going to relax, think about it tomorrow, then we will reflect on things - what we can do, who may stay on the bench because we did have some injuries and let them recover. ''We are going to have to think about this long and hard''. She added : ''Norway gave us a hard time, Nigeria will probably do the same. For the time being, now we are just going to stay put and fight hard to win that match against Nigeria''. The Super Falcons need at least a draw against Les Bleues to be certain of progressing to the last sixteen. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=32497 |

Moses Is A Very High Quality Player' - Fenerbahce Aim To Keep Chelsea Winger Next Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce are aiming to keep former Nigeria international Victor Moses at the club next season amid speculation linking him with a summer move to Inter Milan. The winger joined the Yellow Canaries on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal in the January transfer window and it is thought that Chelsea can exercise a recall option on the player to end his loan spell before expiration. It is claimed that Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal has held talks with Director of Football, Damien Comolli and a decision was made to retain Moses. ''Moses is a very high quality player. I believe he will be much more useful next season. What should be done to stay must be done,'' said Yanal, according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet. It was widely believed that Moses's career at Chelsea was over following the arrival of Maurizio Sarri in July 2018 but his situation could change, with the Italian linked with a return to his homeland as coach of Juventus and The Blues slapped with a two-window transfer ban for signing underage players. Last season, the Nigerian scored 4 goals in 16 appearances for Fenerbahce. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/archive.php |

Five Things To Expect From Super Eagles Friendly Against Senegal he Super Eagles will play a friendly match against the Teranga Lions of Senegal on Sunday as part of their preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The encounter is expected to be an entertaining one based on the rivalry existing between both countries and the quality of players in both teams. What should Nigerians expect during and after the game? Here are top five things to look out for. 1. Plenty Goals The encounter is expected to witness many goals from both sides based on current form. Each of the strikers in Rohr's final squad scored an impressive number of goals for their respective clubs, while, Senegal strikers also did the same throughout the season. Judging by the strikers' deadly form, the two goalies are expected to find the ball in their net on many occasions. 2. High Physical Game Historically, all matches between two West African countries are always accompanied by hard tackles, and show of strength and agility. Though both sides will be very cautious with their tackles on Saturday, the encounter is set to be a very physical one. 3. Great Attacking Moves From Both Sides Senegal and Nigeria are known for their attacking style of play, hence, the supporters will be treated to an highly entertaining game. Sadio Mane's high converting rate and Ismaila Sarr's pace will be massively put to test by coach Aliou Cisse while Gernot Rohr will want to see more from Samuel Chukwueze and Paul Onuachu. 4. Strong Starting Lineup This is the last preparatory match for the Super Eagles before their AFCON opener against Burundi, therefore, Rohr is expected to name a strong team. Ekong and Musa, who started from the bench against Zimbabwe last weekend, are expected to be in the starting lineup. 5. Less Substitutions From Gernot Rohr This game is organized to help Rohr access the fitness level of his players, and to help boost the chemistry between his players ahead of Burundi's challenge. We should expect less substitutions from the gaffer who will want to see if some players can complete a game. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=32504So what do you guys think? I know its just a friendly but what's your predicted scoreline? |

M7even: There was so much pressure on our defense against Korea. It's understandable why they were later committing those errors. Against France, they should limit those pressure by playing them at the midfield. France expects that we would play defensive and if we take the bait, they would punish as they are more clinical than the Koreans. The coach need devise a strategy of playing most of the game in the midfield. When the chances open up and we are lucky, we might hold a surprise victory. Exactly brother. You got it I hinted at this in an earlier post that sitting back to defend would surely backfire and we need to learn to hold the ball in the midfield and look for counter-attacking opportunities. The french team is beatable but I wonder if we can learn to be more possessive of the ball when we are already at the WC. I wish the girls the very best |

Icon4s: I don't think the like for Iheanacho is tribally rooted. Some of Iheanacho's strong lovers right from time are not Igbos: notefully : TheGoodJoe, Bascovanvelli, Humility, Joebie, Tbaba1234, Joseph1034 among other. So there is no basis for you to want to link the call for Iheanacho to tribalism.
And please keep that tribalism talk away. This cannot be over-emphasized A lot of monikers here result to tribalism accusations when they can no longer argue intelligently. This is the SE thread and not a politics thread |

Surprising to see Brazil loose to the Aussies.
However, the Aussies did play well against Italy despite the loss.
Now over to you Super Falcons, a draw against should be enough but please play with the mentality of winners.
Best of luck |

andrew444: Taking 3 strikers to a competition is very very good
Belgium took 3 strikers to the world cup and they are also loaded with wingers
Are you judging onauchu by just a game? if iheanacho made it to the afcon then its monkey dey work and baboon dey chop so you want him to come from no where and proove him self in a friendly then you will use that opportunity to take him, if so then isaac success should also be in afcon
You cant just have a bad form for club side and work in straight to the national team when there are others strikers who did well. I couldn't have said it better. Some of us tend to forget so soon how the same onuachu was touted after his superb strike against Egypt that gave us the win. As for me, I'll wait until he plays at the AFCON to judge him |

Truidstar: On the Super Falcons, that young goal keeper and a relatively stable defence might be the reason we might hold France to a stalemate. Make we no follow France argue midfield, defence and route one to Oshaola should do the trick. I agree with you somewhat but you see if the midfield collapses, the defence is exposed and should the defence come under continuous pressure, I don't think they will hold for 90mins. A counter attacking style with 2 DMs may do the trick but we would need to take our chances when they come |

Humility017: yeah sure... let's hope everything pangs well.... going with like kind of strikers where you will likely play one at a time is like a waste of space...
i am not okay with PAUL...he cant even jump to head Even as useless as Agali was when it comes to foot work but on the air he was a beast Even I am not okay with his last performance but let us give him the benefit of doubt. You know why? Because they might have been playing to avoid last minute injuries that may rule them out of contention. I know it sounds like I'm giving them excuses but let's see what they have to offer at the tournament proper first. |

Humility017: you see....... and the problem we have been having with our midfield in time past is not having the link between midfield and attack...
nacho would serve in that role conveniently all Rohr needs do is to have a talk with him and engage him in special training drills to serve in that role... he still have the mojo in him, he played there years ago Well, you have a point but since Rohr as the coach dropped him, there must have been strong reasons. Remember, he was invited despite his poor form. However, we should just make do with what we have. Abi how you take see am bros? |

Abeg finally finally Brazil get squad
Wetin naija wan emulate ,Na small small sha you no lie ,we go dey use wetin we get I agree with you on this. In fact, that's what Tite (Brazil coach) will most likely do because fact is Willian is not like he used to be and Neres is an upcoming star on good form. We have also come a long way; I mean the Super Eagles. Rohr has been doing a hood job so far bar the WC misadventure. I don't think there has ever been a time like this when majority of our players were linked to top clubs in Europe. But we can do better sha. I really hope for an excellent outing in AFCON. It will boost the profile of our players too |

Omo, see squad
When you have a squad without fabinho, Marcelo and where ederson cannot make first team. A squad that benches William at Chelsea, then you just know they must be getting some things right with their football. I hop Naija can try to emulate them and get there someday.

Egypt have never really boost of having the best squad in Africa(as per big name players) but they are the most successful..
