Greatzeus:
That's Nigerian for you. We are so corrupt greedy and godless. If that man should hold a political appointment in the future, did you think he will perform?
We keep telling you people, stop hating parties or calling out a particular tribe you think didn't vote for your candidate. Your candidate is one man, that will appoint tens of thousands to work with him. He can't do shit because Nigerians are thieves and just needed an opportunity to show their insatiable want for money.
For me,when dealing with a Nigerian, you're guilty until you have proven innocent. You can't scam me before,I already held you a scammer and I act with that consciousness during our dealings,I'm 100% on guard, watching out for your scam.
If you turn out to be honest, good I win. If you turn to be a scammer, good also , because I was expecting it already
.
You're right.
We're different set of people from this part of the world. Is terrible

It is a fundamental human condition you are unaware of or pay less attention to.

Do this and thank me in Heaven. Humans prey on one anothers need just in a bid to sell. Whenever you need anything so despretaley, hide the essense and urgency of the purpose and do it less seriously than the urgency. In this way, your desperation is hidden and you are not preyed on. If you continue to show your emotions and neediness, you will suffer in this world.
Right though

So, few days ago, I drove a far distance to somewhere I was told I can get natural honey. When I got there, I explained what I needed it for to the man selling, I even told him, someone's life is a stake if it's not pure, natural honey.
I begged him to be honest with me.
I explained my distance and all the challenges. He swore heaven and earth. He showed me the one in the bucket and I tested. He even lectured me on how to identify the original honey. He had already bottled the rest and claimed it's the same from the bucket. I opened and tested, it was the same, But i didn't know he only added few original honey an the top, while the rest in the bottle was not.
So I bought one full rubber, I refused to price him down and I still tip him. Because I believed him and I wanted to show my appreciation, but do you know this man was lieing?

To my greatest surprise, the following morning, the honey has turned to something different, It became watery and taste different.
We couldn't use it and the aim was defeated.

I'm still shock thinking about all the effort he put on to decieved me.
I keep wondering,
Why do we do wrong to each other in this country no matter the cost?
Is it because of the economy or we naturally are like that?

Have someone ever put on effort to convince you, decieve you and you fall for it, but later discovered it was all a lie? Have this ever happened to you before? Share your experience. Let's learn.

@Op,
Evaluate it again. Sit her down and tell her of your intention and how you have suffered all these years
Believe me, you can't divorce her and stay alone without entering more tight situations. Either positive or negative.

You said you have kids. Don't make mistake where your kids will grow up to see you as a bad father who left. Money isn't everything pls

Very important, she need counseling in respect to this. She might not even know she's not treating you well.

It happens everywhere, but Nigerians are the masters of the art of the showoff and the loud talk. They talk about common things a if they are special. It's like a celebration of mediocrity. Perhaps it is due to poverty. Otherwise why would a person driving/owning a car feel accomplished because they drive/own a car, and use it as a yardstick to belittle others, as seen frequently on the forum. "I am comfortable" indeed.

Notably, other nations of poor people tend to celebrate such things. They constantly need to measure.

That said, money doesn't bring happiness. And you're going to want happiness in life

It's only a reflection of the Nigerian system.. That's not how it usually work in a sane and developed world most times.
They think with their senses, they are well educated and informed, alot of them understand God and the essence of Life, which majority of us don't do in the part of the world.

Most Nigerians aren't that informed, could be due to the fact that we have a kinda backwarded mentality, which is why we envy ourselves and even attack progress, thereby making it compulsory for ppl to worship whoever struggles to make it by force. it's everywhere but too common in Nigeria.

It's rooted in our mentality.

Money and true love run the world smoothly. If we cherish genuine love, we are well informed and fear God, then money wouldn't be much priority in our midst, as attentions would be properly channeled to others things that even money needs to make our society function well, which is Love and the dear of God.

I often think that if I became as wealthy as Bill Gates, I would be such a cheerful, gentle, and kind person. When I have enough money, things go smoothly, and my interactions with others become pleasant, everything becomes clear and bright
So, money over every other things? Is that?
FamilyApart From Money, What Else? by Darlingme(op):
I'm just thinking out loud.
Money is good, I'm not disputing that fact.
But why does it look like the only language that makes people adore a fellow human is when the person gives out money?

To so many people, once you don't have money, they can never take any advice from you. A rich person, can suddenly become a motivational speaker and everyone will follow.

It seems the only thing that rules the world is having plenty money?
People throw away their happiness, a lover, family, good friends, just to have ONLY money.

A man can publicly be trending for the wrong reasons (Hook up, Yahoo, ritual, fake religious leader, witchcraft etc) but once he's/she's involve in philanthropic services, the society quickly accept him/her as a kind and a good Human.

Does it mean having plenty money and giving it back to the society is the greatest thing?

What's your opinion about this?

What have you or someone done for you aside giving you money, that you appreciate more than money? Pls share

FamilyRe: I Feel So Much Guilt From My Past Relationship by Darlingme(f): 5:52am On Aug 21, 2023
Any relationship that's instigating anger, rude behavior, violence in you, is not healthy for you.
A relationship where you're doing the scolding and talking, while she isn't interested in positive communication for positive change is not good enough for both of you.

And you need to take life easy as well. Not every action from her, need scolding. She's not your daughter or student.

The truth is, when you meet someone who genuinely love and care for you, he/she will not stress you. He/she will love to make effort to make himself/herself better for you.
Two can not work together, unless they agree

I have a problem with people using God's mention to trade what are lies. God disavowed marriage in Genesis 3 vs 16 and for this reason, Jesus Christ reiterated that marriage has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God in Luke 20 vs 34 - 36. Most people don't know this or care to admit this hence the reason why they continue to pretend marriage some sort of holy union by God when it ceased to be that when God cursed Adam. undecided

True Christians have nothing to do with voting human government because our government is not of this world! John 18:36
We are praying for God's Kingdom to come {Matthew 6:9-10} all human governments will be exterminated {Daniel 2:44} that's why Herod the great wanted baby Jesus dead {Matthew 2:16} because as a Jew he knew from the scriptures that the Christ will destroy all human government! smiley

Christianity EtcAre Nigerian Christians Hypocrite Or What? by Darlingme(op): 10:07am On Aug 20, 2023
Honestly, I am tempted to believe that Nigerian Christians are hypocrites.

Where have all the energy decipated during the election disappeared to?
I can vividly remember how we were pushed to bring our PVC for prayers, asking God for a free and fair election. The energy and voicing were much, advocating for justice and rightful procedures. But the election was not properly done. We all know what happens.
After everything, the next thing I'm hearing now in most congregation is ''THIS ADMINISTRATION WILL FAVOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ''
Why have the Christian given up so soon?
Can we now say everything is now the will of God?
Is this how God wishes to answer all our prayers?
Or we are just hypocrites?

Apart from this pastor Sarah,

No one is asking his congregation to pray for justice and right decision from the judiciary.
Transportation is very high, people are suffering. But no religious leader is complaining.
What's your opinion on this?
