When will Gazzuz be approved as a testing center. I think Nairaland uber community should push for this. |

Gentlelife50: Another thing to keep us busy, the era of oil ushered in the era of phanex and his theory.
Did I hear him say drivers will come to pick vehicles every morning? This one pass slavery ooo, well he never wanted drivers to be in charge because he don't want to be Tennant wey pass landlord. Isorait wee shall see. You dont get it. Phranex still needs the car to commute to work and back home everyday. The guy BP will rise the first week he start the model |

ziddy: You told the truth in the entire post. The only thing missing in this write-up is the fact that uber has sold its Nigerian 'partners' a dummy, right from the day it slashed fares by 40%.
I've been saying it on this forum for quite a while, even driver-partners are actually running at a loss because the vehicle becomes junk at the end of the day. The only reason they are getting off easy is because Nigeria lacks carfax/vehicle maintenance & usage documentation. Once you disclose the high actual mileage of a car or the fact that it has been used in a taxi-fleet, the resale value drops drastically.
Uber is ripping off its Nigerian partners with impunity. You cannot compare the state of Nigerian roads, or the level of technical expertise available for maintenance here, with the western world. These are the factors that speak directly to your bottomline.
Uber factors only the cost of living and the market size into their business model. This is irresponsible and wrong! Already they've killed off the yellow cabs in Lagos. Private taxi is not for everyone in Nigerian society! you too can uber. That ads irritate me ehn |

deedee44: We are our own enemies, as long as we refuse to unite under one umbrella we cannot have one voice, we cannot have any voice at all sef and drivers will continue to be handled with little regard. I like that line. We are our own enemy. Some of us sacrificed and started the process. Some people here called me names. Later on, greedy set of people hijacked the process for their selfish gain. What have they achieve since they hijack the process? Some drivers too that Sacrificed during the May last year struggle feel bittered that some people took advantage of the surge and cash out. For that reason they have vow not to join any struggle. Let every mallam carry him own kettle. |

Gentlelife50: This one happened to me too, the girl brought her bags out I waited and also watched over the bags only for the girl to tell me her man has apologized and that they have settled. I told her to settle me then that I can't waste my time just like that because she have waisted my time besides I drove from far to get to her pickup point. She left and I told her I will block their gate and nobody will go out in the morning. It's either they settle me, beat me or call police for me. I eventually left and was on my way when the bf called and said I should send my account details i did and he transferred 2k. I quickly sent him a message to apologize for the embarrassment. Car Talk › Re: To Rebuild Or To Replace? by darmilolah(m): 8:43pm On Aug 12, 2018 |
If our 1.8 cars engine rebuild will not cost more than 50-60k from English speaking mechanic workshop. Then, I think its better to go for the peace of mind.
Gazzuss please leave my Ikorodu. Every town with their own logo. |

obekediamondfuto: sample customer assertion 1.........
now would u still rebuild if labour and diagnosis is free? the answer will definitely be yes.... what if the parts are to be sourced internationally? the price will also change from oyingbo own oh so hafa If Labour and Diagnosis is free that is DIY. Then, it's a Yes. If Parts are to be sourced internationally and the cost will not be more than the price of the Borale. I will rebuild. |
Car Talk › Re: To Rebuild Or To Replace? by darmilolah(m): 5:45pm On Aug 12, 2018 |
Rebuilding option sounds nice but English speaking mechanic will make some of run.
Her Royal Majesty quote 9500/hr. In my head I am thinking and pressing calculator how many hours will take to unmount, rebuild, reinstall my small civic engine bearing in mind that the Borale is less than 100k in oyingbo and labour is cheaper to fix the engine there. |

No doubt Oga Gazzuss decided to put his day to day experience in writing. I remember I also called him Oyinbo speaking mechanic. Lol
I must say it's not easy to return car to factory. Your pocket will most likely bleed. I have tried it. I was almost there but later got tired of spending and I give up.
My check light and Abs light still look at me everytime and me sef throwaway face.
I know the cause of the check light and the abs light but I am so tired spending.
The check light is 02 sensor while the abs is one sensor that is bad. |
