PoliticsRe: South-East CPC Says Presidential Election Was Free And Fair by dasa: 1:32pm On Apr 25, 2011
For the south south and south east, it was all about self determination. GEJ represented a new dawn for the two regions. they took it personal.

on the issue of low turnout. where did they visit?
i hope they went to the rural areas. In the SS especially, most people travel home to vote to boost the numbers in there villages.
on an election like this, if you only monitor the towns, you will notice poor turn out, but the case is different in the rural areas. They see it as some sought of census, so they migrate home to give their villages political strenght.

And from the Percentages i have seen, its not Unusual. PDP campainged non stop in these areas and deserved to win with a very wide margin. Buhari didnt even hold one rally in many southern states. He believed in Northern Numbers, not knowing that the millions of Igbos and Hausa Christians in the North will vote GEJ and give him atleast 25%

They should stop crying. they didnt plan well.

to those who believe cpc won. You claim rivers, bayelsa and enugu was rigged. Una stupid oh. The president is from bayelsa, his wife is from rivers state. And the entire south east hates buhari. Even if you where giving all the votes in these states, it still wudnt be enough. He lost by 10million votes remember.

I wonder why someone who did not campaign in the SS and SE expected to do well. Na thief all of una be.

Go to court and lose again. Confuse people cult.
PoliticsRe: Ex-governor Bola Tinubu To Float Airline Business[After Delivering SW To GEJ] by dasa: 3:27pm On Apr 22, 2011
tinubu does not have the power to deliver souht west to anybody.  Do u know the number of igbos that live in the region? Do you remember how well jonathan campaugned in the region? Do you know the number of yorubas who like jonathan and are not acn members. All this tinubu talk is baseless. He is not as powerful as he is made out to be. If buhari knew, he would have campaigned instead of hoping on a deal with tinubu.

This write up should be in the front page.

Every single point raised here is correct. But most CPC supporters fail to acknowledge them. Buhari did not campaign at all in the SS and SE.
CPC got so many things wrong. Buhari strongly believed the northern numbers alone will deliver him while the south west was in the pocket on tinubu. he failed to realize that after the indegines of every state, igbos are next in popolution and can shape the results of any state. He did not talk to them at all. he believed an alliance with south west will do the magic. he should have looked for an alliance with the south east ie Igbos.they make up at least 30% of lagos. that is a huge number.

7 Reasons Buhari/bakare Will Lose The Elections Despite Growing Popularity!
Posted by Michael Ajayi on February 27, 2011 at 5:02pm in Politics

Let me start by acknowledging the fact that the Bakare pick by Buhari, has improved Buhari's fortunes desperately. In many online polls I've come across of recent, Buhari/ Bakare's popularity has skyrocted sometimes surpassing that of Jonathan. What I observed however, is that the biggest loser is Ribadu. All his fans seemed to drift enmass to the Buhari/Bakare ticket. Jonathan's popularity remains good, just a little less than the early days.
Given the fact that Buhari controls the North West with 19 Million Voters and has a pretty Good Showing in the South West, you would think Victory should be certain for CPC.
However, I'm 1000% sure that after a free and fair election come May 29th Buhari would not be anywhere near Aso rock for the simple reasons stated below

1)They are not campaigning
We have just 5 weeks to the elections and I can't see any sign of Buhari campaigning anywhere in Nigeria . He hasn't visited any states in the south or middle belt. No rallies whatsoever. Does he think everybody reads newspapers or have internet connection?? Ruralites which constitute the real voters in Nigeria have never heard about CPC. How are they going to give him votes. How is the farmer in Isale Egan, Arochukwu or Gbaramatu going to vote a Buhari he has has never heard about? Jonathan on the other hand is travelling everywhere despite the fact that he has the required visibility already.

2)The CPC has very limited structures
CPC has no structures in many states across the country. In fact, they didn't even field Governorship candidates in many states. Elections are won by politicians and not on the pages of newspapers. People actually think PDP wins because they rig. Thats far from the truth. PDP winS elections because they built structures across the country. Every Okada Association, Taxi drivers Asscoc, Market women group, and every other group that controls large swaths of REAL voters are all on the payroll of the PDP. The CPC structures start and finish in the North West and some states in the North East. Structures in the South West are shared between PDP and ACN. Without these structures, there is no way CPC is winning even 10% of the votes in the South West.

3)Jonathan's Popularity
It is not very often you see a popular incumbent. Jonathan is very popular, not because of his performance but because of the nature of his ascension. Nigeria is a very religious country and many people have come to believe that Jonathan has been propped up by God to bring change to the country. There is the impression amongst so many I've spoken with, that God will use Jonathan to change Nigeria.
Buhari knows this so well, so he calculatedly brings in a Pastor as running mate to tilt the balance. Was it a good strategy,I think very much so! Will it improve his fortunes, sadly I don't think so as Bakare is known to have discredited all the crowd pulling ministers including Adeboye whose he seems to be courting desperately these days.

4)Cash, Money and Finance
Seriously, in any election, Cash is King. Whether that Election is in America or Zimbabwe, Nigeria or New Zealand!! Obama raised $600million dollars to execute his election. Without that war-chest, he would have lost to McCain. Fact is, He bought that election legitimately!!
Nigeria is not an exception! Money rules! Donald Duke estimated that it would cost close to 20 Billion naira to execute a honest presidential election. And that's just for campaigning minus settlements. My opinion, 50 Billion wouldn' t even do. If Buhari can raise that money in 5 weeks, then trust me he stole it!!

The PDP can buy up all the almajiris in the North West with N1000 each and they would line up enmasse for Jonathan. 19 Million almajiris will cost the PDP only 19 Billion Naira= Now that's chicken change for a party that has controlled a the economy of a country with some of the world's finest oil wells.
On a serious note, where is Buhari going to get the money required to campaign across the nation in just 5 weeks. The man needs to advertise, billboards, posters, etc they all cost money !!

5)Jonathan is relaxed
Jonathan is so relaxed. When a man is so relaxed, you can tell that he has very little to worry about. The Buhari ticket would have worried the Jonathan camp if they had teamed up with ACN. But as it is always with the opposition their selfish interests carried the day.
Before the PDP presidential Primaries, Jonathan was very uneasy until Babangida was out of the race. When Atiku was left in the race, Jonathan became relaxed because victory was now certain. Atiku was an easy case. Exactly the same is playing out with Buhari. Jonathan's relaxed mien suggests that Buhari's CPC is nothing but a paper tiger!!

6)25% in 24 states
Buhari cannot win up to 25% in any of the South South or South East states. That takes 11 states out of the running, leaving him with 25 states to score at least 25% of the votes. Is that a possiblity? I doubt especially given the fact that in the south west, the votes will be split in three between Jonathan, Ribadu and Buhari. Also states like Plateau and Benue would hardly give Buhari 25%. It will be so hard for Buhari to score that 25% in 24 states. That automatically nullifies any numerical victory he wishes he might obtain.

7)Time and Chance
One of the most fundamental principles in life is the Time and Chance principle. Somehow it just appears like this is Goodluck Jonathan's time. Despites many miscalculations on his part, his popularity just doesn't seem to want to go downhill. Whether we like him or not, it looks like he is here to stay at least till 2015.
Same way Obama came and upset the dreams of so many like McCain and Hilary Clinton, so also Jonathan has truncated the life long ambitions of the likes of Babangida, Atiku, Gusau and come April it looks like Buhari will be added to the list of those who have fallen under Jonathan's dream killing sword!!
PoliticsRe: I'v Start Regreting Why I Voted For Gej. by dasa: 2:59pm On Apr 21, 2011
So should he declare a state or emergency? People have been rioting in the North since i can remember. they are just lawless over there. Did, Buhari, Ibb, Abacha or Abdulsalami stop it. No. Force is not always the best solution.

I only wish his security team will be more proactive than reactive.

Nigerians hate Nigeria more than any other group of people.

Nairaland is the biggest Nigerian forum and one of the Biggest in Africa, it can be a national tool. So this hate should be controlled by the admin.

PoliticsBuhari Did Not Campaign In Ss And Se by dasa(op): 6:53am On Apr 19, 2011
Buhari did not campaign in SS and SE, he totally rejected these areas not knowing they will play a major role. I believe he assumed they will not turn up on election day and even if they do, the northern population will cancel their vote.

Meanwhile GEJ knew most of the north will vote Buhari, but decided to visit every state and atleast appeal to the millions of Christians, Igbos as well as the Hausa Muslims. His strategy paid of as he was able to get 25% he needed in these areas.

Buhari ignored the SS and SE and they ignored him on election day.

As for High voter turn out. For the first time a niger delta man with azikiwe as his middle name was contesting under PDP that controls the entire region. That is a great reason why the turn out was massive. they believed it was their numbers against the northern numbers.

Please Give Buhari something to wipe his tears.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Rejects Results In 22 States And Fct by dasa: 6:37am On Apr 19, 2011
Jonathan is from the Niger Delta, and the Niger delta has never produced a president before. isnt that a Good reason to have high voter turn out? na wa for them oh. Go to court abeg,

rejecting results in a whole 22 states. By now i thought Buhari would have learnt how to loose as he has lost twice before.

I say again, Buhari did not campaign in the south south at all.
PoliticsRe: Here We Go Again: CPC Rejects Presidential Election Result by dasa: 4:46pm On Apr 18, 2011
Lagosboy:
The result from SS and SE is simply ridiculous coupled with the rigging video we all saw on youtube from rivers.

CPC is right in rejecting the results. The issue is not would GEJ have won without rigging or not the issue is criminality is criminality.
How are the results ridiculus, are you in rivers state or Bayelsa? Look over there, the people had one Goal, and that is voting en mass for GEJ.

I repeat, Buhari did not even campaign in the south south. He wrote that region off, and they wrote him off as a result.

In the North, they are millions of Igbo's and they voted in large numbers for GEJ, same thing happened in Lagos.

Na wa for Una oh. Hwy did the CPC statte agaents sign the results if they were false. all documents from all polling stations untill abuja must b signed by the various party agents.

Buhari ended our Democracy in 1983 and he is doing it again.
PoliticsRe: Joy In Kano Over Rumour Of Military Coup In Nigeria by dasa: 2:24pm On Apr 18, 2011
Most people here talk like children. unguided and with so much hate.

When them burn tire, them go enter house and GEJ will be sworn in.

The election was free and fair in at least 95% of Nigeria.

person wey no campaign for south south dey complain say im not get vote for there. I dey laugh ooo!
PoliticsYesterday Morning You Praised Inec. Today You Are Burning Properties. by dasa(op): 2:15pm On Apr 18, 2011
Before the results, everyone agreed it was free and fair. Even Buhari said so.

But now it is Obvious that he lost, he is claiming Foul play. I think all the many international Observers and the Media would have seen the rigging.

I have lost the remaining respect i have for Buhari and CPC.

The Elite continuously deceive the people of the north. They keep burning and destroying property for no reason.

This is the main reason why that Region is economically behind. nobody invests there, even their own people dont because of insecurity.

When una tire, una go stop and GEJ will do a good job for your region.

PoliticsGej Worked Harder, And Deserved To Win by dasa(op): 1:20pm On Apr 18, 2011
Accuse him all you want, the truth is he worked harder and he has won.

More TV adverts,
More Radio Adverts,
More Newspaper Adverts,
More sms
He visited every single state, Buhari avoided to south south entirely.
He talked to every major traditional ruler.
He constantly talked to millions of youth via Facebook
He talked to the religious communities
He talked to the Business Community
He talked to the entertainment community and even provided loan facility
(for which i just submitted my proposal as i have a media and entertainment  business. I currently employ 6 people, if i get the lone, i will need to hire 5 more. That is job creation).

He talked to the armed forces
He visited Nigerians abroad

I mean, He met almost everybody in every state even katsina and kano. when you work that hard, you will have supporters. even those that do not have the time to attend rallies.

In my village, people know Buhari, but dont know his political party. How will they then vote for him from that long list.
Them go vote the one them know.'

I did not Vote Buhari, but i have respect for him and his message. But with what he is happening in the north now, I am so glad i didnt vote him, his silence shows what is in his heart.
PoliticsRe: Elections Were Rigged; Why Are We Not All Protesting? by dasa: 1:01pm On Apr 18, 2011
GenBuhari:
Genuine online polls cannot be rigged.

Did GEJ not have problems raise a crowd in his Lagos rally? That on on the ground, yet he won massively in Lagos  angry

Nigerians shine your eyes angry

Stand up and demand your rights.
The people that voted for GEJ in lagos are not part of any political party. they are the general public who will not attend any rally wether they support you or not.

Please note that there are well over one million Ibo's in lagos. and most of them voted GEJ.

why cant you people be sensible.

Even in my polling station in Ikeja, the CPC agent said openly that she will vote GEJ but that she will make sure CPC interest is protected like she was instructed when she was hired.
PoliticsRe: Elections Were Rigged; Why Are We Not All Protesting? by dasa: 12:57pm On Apr 18, 2011
Where is your evidence. Yesterday you where hailing INEC and Jega. Now that you have lost, you want to destroy the country.

Buhari refuses to call for calm because he is a violent person.

Buhari did not even campaign in the south south. many people dont even know his party logo over there. its a big reason where he scored very low there. now he is claiming it was rigged.

Thank God buhari did not win. God has saved us.
PoliticsRe: Kano Is On Fire by dasa: 12:45pm On Apr 18, 2011
Change never comes easy. The situation is made worse by Politicans like Buhari who have prematurely giving millions of illiterate supporters a reason to take to the streets by saying the elections where Rigged.

Why cant people accept defeat in our politics.

When you tell people to protect their votes, please tell them how to do it. many of them think they are protecting their votes by destroying property.

No matter what people say, the election was free and fair. and GEJ has won fairly.

Anarchist, will never succeed.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Set To Win, Aided By Southern Magic Numbers by dasa: 10:39am On Apr 18, 2011
Look, let me tell you about the south south. i will use rivers state as an example.

All public office holders in rivers state are PDP. not even 1 official from and opposition party
i many communities, PDP is now part of the culture. Even if they dont know the candidate, they just vote PDP.
it is almost impossible right now to beat PDP in rivers state unless the Governor messes up, and he is doing great.

for Bayelsa state, After the indegenes, its the ibo's that have the highest population, and they all support GEJ.

If you have not been to the south south you will not understand how seriously they took the elections. everybody came out to vote.

A mentality is that if they dont vote jonathan will lose beacuase the North wont vote GEJ.

If there is opposition in your area, please Not that it was PDP all the way for the people of the south south.
