Paystack: Someone like you can never run a successful business or anything else.
As if you're a perfect being or void of crime
Many Yahoo boys today are young boy's usually carried away by social pressure and things they see
If someone is able to guide them and help them nurture their skills to good use then the country will be a better place.
It will be far better than allowing them to scam all their lives
Yes! Some people can scam without getting caught their entire lives... Karma sometimes is bullshit... u can see that from your leaders who have been scamming u their whole tenure.
This thing they're doing even if it won't make some who enroll change their ways... they're sure going to save some people and help them change and that's what matters
If out of 100 , 30 change
Then your old grandma at home has 30 less Yahoo boys to worry about calling her and tricking her into sending her bank private details Bros it's a wrong move, there are also young struggling boys in tech, and despite the social pressure they face, they chose not to venture into fraud, these are the ones that needs empowerment, not stupid folks that got into crime cos of greed. They ventured into fraud at will, so why do they have to need someone else guidance to quit? they got into fraud through peer pressure, or social pressure, but they can't get into tech through that same peer/social pressure? |
Career › Re: Why "Follow Your Passion Is Dangerous Advice. by DataAlchemist: 1:31pm On Sep 04, 2023 |
The only people who regretted following their passion are the ones who got enticed and derailed by material things or wealth.. Following your passion doesn't necessarily means you will succeed in what you do, but you will be okay if you don't, as far as it keeps making you happy. But present day nigeria economy can never make you follow your passion, cos you can't be happy while being poor. |

spencekat: No thanks to the hype on Messi/Ronaldo supremacy feud. You call that hype?? It's a different thing to be talented and good, it's another thing to be consistent in showing it something lacking in modern players now , that was what both cr7 and messi gave football fans. |

iamwhat: Football is messed up. Only goal scorers get the spotlight. KDB should win everything in Man City, he is the power house kdb is good, no doubt, but he has been battling with fitness issues, so his input in terms of goals and assist has reduced..talking about city's power house then it is rodri not kdb, and 50goals a season isn't a small feat, so the award is well deserved. |

FreeStuffsNG: Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that working in a private school is bad. What I am saying is that as a young person, don't stay too long on the job. Lest you waste your life.
Wrong advice.
If it's good, stay long enough until you master it and can be an expert. Besides, long is ambiguous so I will suggest you stay long enough till you become an expert at it just like every job or professional.
Jumping around from one place or professional to another is not a sign that you are really good, it's a sign that you're not stable in your focus and can be easily taken away. No employer like those kind of prospective employee.
It takes time to build anything formidable in life and that includes career.
There's a lot you learn when you devote time and self discipline to become an expert in what you do. If you don't stay long there's no way you can attain minimum of 10,000 hours to become an expert. What are you saying?? we are talking about huge workload while being paid peanuts. and what highest level can you get in life being an expert teacher?? |

Khafsun: Is. That so
You're the one who is unprofessional not the candidates. Once you give a call, you immediately introduce yourself and why you're calling before they utter a word. "Good morning. My name is Femi. I'm calling regarding an application you made to...... for the position of..... Is this....?"
Not "Hello, how are you?" it's within their right to be cautious to someone whom they can't ascertain is on the line. You could be a scammer trying to steal some of their details. In fact, in this day an age, with AI, some scammers require just a sample of your voice and they will be able to authorise and meander through major security checks. So because of your unprofessional ways and 80k job. They should always lose guard.
The point about them not remembering they applied to your work means you're not aware of the realities of hiring. So you expect them to make only one application once per month for a company that might not even acknowledge your application or make them in hundreds per day. It's clear you don't know it's both a game of numbers for the recruiter and the applicant.
In a normal professional setting, you're meant to email these candidates, informing them of suitable dates or time for a phone call. Not just call whenever and be say they didn't pick up.
It's clear that because you were retained after NYSC, you have no idea how recruiting and job applications work. Arrogance and ignorance. You have a really good point but you sounding like you are one of the candidates |

Let me quote the topic for reference. lol..so if you are 25yrs at Dec 31st, you will be 26yrs by jan1? Your new age should be 365days after your current birthday, that's why it's celebrated once a year. @op, don't reject yourself even before you are rejected, you wouldn't know the answer to your question until you apply. |

Kcxee: Good morning,
Thank God I found this thread, I decided to learn a soft skill of recent and data analysis has been my desire from way back
I need advice on where and how to start.
I will appreciate all recommendations and advices I can get.
Thank you 🙏 Where to start? Coursera, udemy and youtube (your cheapest option). There are more, but these are the three popular ones. How to start? start with excel, don't just learn the basics, because there is excel and there is data analysis with excel, (mike girvin : excel is fun on youtube is okay), then go ahead and learn SQL ( udemy courses can come to rescue here, there are also youtube videos for this), move on to a visualization tool of your choice, before capping it with a programming language (R/python). |

But I think while google focused more on googlesheet, big query and R..ibm focused on Excel, mysql(not sure) and Python |

I have downloaded some data analytics videos on YouTube but don't understand anything they are talking about there.
Can someone pls break the learning process down for me so it won't choke..Like what and what should I learn first before proceeding to others. Start with excel, for data analytics you need more than the basic knowledge you have, you can clean data with excel, perform regression with small datasets with excel, vlookup and pivot table... I recommend mike girvin (excel is fun) on youtube for this.. Then you move on to SQL, and tableau |

That's why I laugh when people blame the lack of employment in nigeria on the presidency, irrespective of the number of jobs being created by the fg, there will still be cries of unemployment because of individual's greed, The only fault of the government is inadequate monitoring and overlooking these criminal acts..there are many federal government jobs out there enough for skilled unemployed graduates and even non-graduates, but these positions are given to people who knows someone.. funnily enough these same people thinks they are better than the government, they log online to criticize the gov for corruption, Even when they themselves benefits from the proceed of the same corruption.
When it comes to job, there is little the presidency can do, it all boils down to all these so called directors, even if millions of jobs are created, it will only be reserved for those who has the money to pay for it, thereby making it look like there are no jobs in nigeria. |
