Personally, when I wake up (as early as 4am or 5am), I always do the following; - Lazy myself on bed for the first 10minutes.Very important. - Pray (most times I don't remember sha). - Check my emails (very important) - Schedule my work for the day - Check OLX if there is anything reasonable to buy (am a businessman so I occasionally do some buying and selling. Making that extra 5k or 10k ain't bad ).- If there is time, I make some calls. Businessmen in the house will understand. - Watch an episode of my series. Any other thing follows. But the listed things above eats up my first 3 hours everyday. I actually love being an entrepreneur. Care to share yours? ![]() |
Appland:Well, not everyone who calls himself a developer is actually one. A lot of them will do anything to get money out of you. No crime setting up a website using wordpress. In fact if you pay for a website, you'll get a website. How it was made shouldn't be a problem. But using Wordpress, you still have a lot of work to do. Whats your objective of setting up a website? A website should be seen as a business you are setting up with objectives and targets. Your developer should be able prepare your website to help you achieve that objective. Many of them dont know what lead capturing system is, or SEO, or back end security (yeah, even for Wordpress), or customer support system, or sales funnel, or premade sales copy for email marketing, or client training, ads programs, etc. These and many more makes up a website. And these, my friend, are what you are paying N200k for. According to the target, for example, your website should be able to give you 26 new leads in the next 4 weeks, or it should be able to help make 31 sales in two months, or give you 100 subscribers in 3 months. All these will be in mind when discussing with a developer. If you have no idea about them, the developer should bring them to your attention, give you a plan, and then cost you. So you see, i can charge you N1m and give you a good reason why you'll pay that sum. Even in this recession, the job i just completed, the client paid N100k. The client came to me in Warri all the way from Lagos and we discussed for hours, planning strategies to help him achieve his objectives. My next job which will kick off next week, we agreed for N150k. So, bro a cheap developer will always give you crap. No two ways bout it. |
This got me cracking and I thought to share. ![]()

I was browsing the internet and came across a website offering web design services. The site was so not professional (a boring template) and what got my attention was the fact that they offered to build a website for just N12,000. ![]() If you are a web developer and you accept such ridiculous fees for building a website, then just go ahead and look for a new kind of hustle. Because you have just lost it. Wonder why you don't get jobs? Or you work and clients refuse to pay? Let me give you some reasons why you are doing yourself more harm than good. 1. Cheap websites attracts cheap clients who won't know the value of what you are doing and hence may not see a reason to pay you after you have finished working. When you start charging from N100k above, you'll be amazed at the kind of clients that will start coming your way. 2. You cannot stand before your peers. Recently I attended an international webinar for web developers and the facilitator asked how much we charge for website development. A lot of folks said $2000, some said $3000. We are talking about N500k and above. I couldn't speak because what I charge is between N100k - N200k. Not even up to half or what other people charge. How can you charge N12,000 for a website?? That's roughly $26!! Not even enough for a proper hosting. Trust me, if you meet an enlightened client, you'll regret charging that amount. Because only one conclusion will be made; you don't know jack about web development. What you are doing is like a carpenter charging N100k to roof a house. How on earth will you get clients? Stop making the mistake of thinking the lower your prices are, the better your chances of getting more clients. Wrong! In case you don't know, you are not spoiling business for the rest of us who know what we are doing. You are just limiting yourself. The truth is that the high paying clients will NOT patronize you for offering a cheap service. So if you want to start making it in this business, if you want to land clients that will not disappoint you after you have labored yourself, try to re-strategize on your billing system. Know the right way to bill your client. Don't be afraid to bill N100k and above. You'll be surprised they'll just say; "Alright, when can you start?" Good luck. |
Someone reached out to me asking me why i am doing this. If there is a particular reason why i am training people. Well, the answer is yes. There are reasons. Firstly, if you go through my phone you will be amazed at the sheer number of loan applications...lol. Every morning i wake up, i practically see a new message from someone begging me to loan some money. Am I a micro finance bank? ![]() So I am teaching people this so they learn how to make money and stop trying to convert me into a bank. Secondly, i like money ![]() Who dosen't? So if am charging a small token to teach you how to make N100k before xmas, nothing wrong in that na. With that said, register for this class now using the link in the first post. You can also download the free 22page report in the website. Am here to answer your questions. |

It depends on what you see as skills. Seems i'll throw some light on this. |

Happy sunday to you all. |
Some days ago, I actually tried to start a thread on online freelancing and how to make money from it. Some people tried to mess it up, while others quickly grabbed what I revealed and as I am speaking to you, they are already making money. Freelancing is one sure way now to earn consistent income online (if you know how). There are a lot of strategies in you'll put in place to really be able to succeed. I see a lot of talk about fiverr, etc. But the truth this that it's just less than 7% of people involved that are actually making money. As for me, my domain is upwork. I have received a lot of phone calls and messages from folks requesting I re-visit this topic. Well, I have decided to come back to it. But this time, I am going to be more careful, as I will control how it is done. Firstly, if you really want to break the jinx of poverty, if you really want to come out of that financial mess, then you really have to adhere to all I will be telling you. Unfortunately, I won't be sharing on NL. So, if you are interested in how to really make money from Upwork, visit www.freelancingmasterclass.xyz, register and download the free tutorial. Those who are smart, will go ahead and grab this opportunity. Cheers.

ogawisdom:And the challenge has been sealed. Hmmm......maybe am a genius. Keep following this thread. ![]() |
WEEK 1. I have been racking my brains since yesterday to ascertain what to do in order to get a multiplier effect on my N20k. Options am considering; Aggressive OLX marketing. Search for an item, buy and resell. But as at this morning, nothing hot is listed that my 20k can cover. I guess i have to be patient till end of the day. If this doesnt work out, i'll look at the possibility of developing a course and selling it with targeted FB ads (this will consume up to 8k sha). Am still considering other options though. Some with low risk, and some with high risks. So this week, its either i double the money to 40k or i search for newer strategies next week. Stay tuned, will update my today's progress later. I must buy that tv oh |
chiasoka:Thanks mate, But this challenge requires no partnership. Otherwise it wont be a challenge. I have to think out of the box for a solution. |
ITbomb:Taaahhhh!!!!! I have never been an advocate of MMM. Besides 30% of 20k for two months will give you how much? So that one is ruled out. ![]() |
I went window shopping recently and visited a samsung showroom. A particular TV caught my eyes. Its a 101.6cm (40) HD Flat TV H4200. I really want to buy it. But all I have budgeted for it is N20,000. I asked for the price and was told it costs N155,000. ![]() Now I am taking this as a challenge. By the end of November, I will buy this TV. The challenge is; how do I nuture my N20,000 to become N155,000 in two months to achieve this? This thread is meant to make me find a solution to this issue, and also to encourage you that if you set your mind to do something, you will do it. Even in this harsh economy, i must find a way to win this challenge. I may or may not succeed. But join me as I find a way out. I'll post updates of my progress daily. ![]()

DeeTus:Its getting serious. |
How its done: They'll get a new line and register it on whatsapp. As soon as it is active on whatsapp, they take the sim card out of the phone. But the line still remains active on whatsapp. That way, whenever you call the number, its always switched off yet they are online in whatsapp. |
christhavemercy:Trust me, I have fallen severally for them. So no more. And they have successfully blocked the road for those who need real help. Cos even if you are dying, I rather take some collateral from you and lend you the money or you can just go ahead and die. No time. ![]() |

THIS MIGHT BE A BIT LONG BUT PLEASE READ. I just have to draw the attention of everyone to the person with the moniker euchaaria. I really don't know who this person is. Sometime ago, this person came here to say she went to a job interview at mega hilton hotel where an interviewer "booked" her to some hotel room action. https://www.nairaland.com/3356000/he-said-should-grease-bed#49458707 To cut the long story short, her two threads were taken to the frontpage by the mods. I really don't know why it was done, but this person is someone very suspicious. Looking back at the so-called message sent by the interviewer to her, if you look at the image closely, you will notice it was doctored. The texts were freshly written. Secondly, using a female's profile (with an attractive pic) will definitely draw attention and sympathizers. This is a very wrong move, because even if people like us do some legit business, be rest assured we were once in the streets hustle. Naturally, I was sympathetic with the person (dont know now if the person is a man or woman). I saw one of her threads where she was pleading for a loan of N20k. I dropped my number and asked her to reach me on whatsapp lets talk. euchaaria:Whenever I try to help any stranger, it turns out to be that I am helping a scammer. So, in order to be careful, I told her that I will give her some tasks to do and pay her so she earn that 20k instead of looking for where to borrow from. I gave her some writing jobs, and in the course of our conversation, she said she needs money to feed because she is independent. She asked me to send her 5k so she can feed but meanwhile will still keep working on the assignments I gave her. That took me by surprise. Since the day we started talking on whatsapp, her number has never been able to receive calls (always switched off). I dont know how she does it but it is only available for whatsapp chat. That raised some red flags. So, I did some digging and guess what? This same number belongs to another guy here on NL with the moniker tonytetuila who is also an economics graduate and also desperately looking for a job. This guy (or whatever the person is) is very clever. He knows that using a profile like this and an approach like this will draw a lot of sympathizers. Guys will be like "see this young fine girl searching for a job". Let me help her. And when you do, you have just been scammed. You cannot be searching for a job and your phone number is switched off 24hours. A lot of red flags about this person. The number is 09055587785. If you are touched by her mega hilton story and want to help her, fine. As for me, enough of giving my money to scammers who cannot work and earn money decently like everyone else. ![]() I just thought some people should know and be careful. |
