good morning folks.

As a young firm, we have been working round the clock to ensure some level of perfection is attained in terms of customer satisfaction and project delivery. Yes, we are a dynamic growing web company with over two years working experience with lots of happy clients around Nigeria and abroad. As part of our expansion plans, we are now ready to launch our own very web servers which will be managed by a team of dedicated professionals and will be housed in one of the most efficient data-centers in the world located in Atlanta, GA in the United States.

As part of our server pre-launch activities, we are taking upon ourselves a challenge to set up 50 free business websites for 50 people. At the office, we are calling it the "Ultimate Remonstrance". I have prepared myself mentally, psychology and physically to complete this quest and i hope to get it done in 30 days! It translates to building 50 websites in 30 days.

Some of you might say it's not possible but i guess that's why it's called a challenge! For those of your who have been following my start-up thread, you are loved and greatly appreciated. Your encouragements have kept me going and you all will be invited for a special dinner party when we get listed in the NSE as a Web Company in the near future.

hello folks.

This week has been tough for me. Alots of activities, issues, etc. But i put my hopes on God.

On Tuesday, i got to the office, put on the gen and after 10 minutes, everything connected to a socket started exploding.... They all got burnt. I was almost running mad. by the time i switched off it was already too late. My laptop charger was gone, printer adapter, copier adapter, even my light bulbs. I have been replacing them for the past two days now it's really biting my pockets off. So annoying. But thank God cos i will still move on.

The good news is that i have finally employed a full-time secretary and she will be resuming work on Monday.

Today's plugin is; UpdraftPlus.

This plugin will help you create backups of your wordpress website in your dropbox account. So you whatever happens you know your website contents are safe. For those of you that dont understand, backup is the process of taking a copy of your Original Data and restoring when your Original data is lost. Backing up your website to remote storage like Dropbox, Google Drive makes it more secure and you can access your files from any location even if you are not with your personal laptop. This plugin has options to backup your website to Google Drive, Amazon S3, Email etc.

STEPS TO USING THE PLUGIN
1. Download and Install the UpdraftPlus plugin.
2. Then open the plugin from Settings->UpdraftPlus Backups.
3. In the section Copying Your Backup To Remote Storage Select Dropbox from the drop down menu.
4. Then Select Authenticate with Dropbox , It asks for API access for your Dropbox account, allow it.
5. Then select Backup Now to backup immediately. When it finishes the backup process, the backup will be uploaded to Dropbox immediately.
6. You have option to take number of backups per day and retain number of backups.
7. You have option to choose what to backup such as plugins, uploads, themes etc.

But we all started from somewhere, with the mentality to upgrade. Yeah, I responded as "we" when I was still living with my people, even have a virtual office lol, but now we are here. The dream is coming to reality.

What I noticed in business is this, if you maintain that you work alone, some people will not patronize you, they will think that you're one individual that can't handle many tasks bla bla bla.

It's good to be original though.

My dear, i work with a team. I have an exceptional graphic artist, an experienced php developer and a business advisory consultant. I pay these people, and they work with me on contract basis. They are my team. When the time comes i will employ full time staff.

Besides, am registered with CAC and currently furnishing my office, which i have paid for plus a mini warehouse in the same building. I am not claiming what i am not. before now, i answered the title of "Freelancer" even in my facebook and my Linkedin profile. In my facebook then, what you would have seen was "Freelancer Web developer at oDesk".

But if you feel claiming what you are not will make your business grow, then good luck.

I have this advice for you.you need to change your orientation.that you have small business that you ,your wife and probably a sales person you involved as make you qualified as WE,because all of you are working to uphelp the business move forward. It's good when you have people (your wife, sales person, etc) working with you. Then you can say we. It's allowed, but the question is; does that make you a CEO?? When the business is not even legally registered?

There are some minor mistakes we make as individuals but we fail to see them as mistakes and maybe, just maybe that same mistake has been hindering you from getting that contract.
