CAstruggle: Am creating my EE profile. I need some guidance from the seniors in the house.
1. I attended two Secondary schools, one for junior another for senior secondary do i include this in my EE profile and also personal history? Or i should simply go with the one i graduated from?
Junior was from 2000-2003 - i didn't receive any certificate for this Senior was from 2003-2006
Or Do i just leave out the secondary school details from my EE profile since i evaluated just my diploma and BSc.
2. Do I included my spouse Educational history in my EE even though we are not claiming points for them as we didnt do ECA? @40 @Ehrnie @Mrs. O There is no points awarded for secondary school ceritificates. However it is just personal history. You dont have to start telling CIC how you take attend primary school. Anything beyond 10 years ago is not relevant. 1. Did you finish JSS less than 10 years ago? 2. Under personal history |

Omoedeki: Good morning gurus. What is the way forward for a single guy intending to get married so that CRS score will not be affected. I don't want wife's certificate to be evaluated and no ielts. My CRS score is around 439 now. Please advise me on the way forward. Your CRS score will earn you ITA in the next draw. Dont waste money and time. Just dive into the pool like that. You can marry after AOR |

uptown17: How did WES state your evaluation pls Bros, you must submit both OND and HND transcripts and certs. WES would evaluate them as 2-year and 3-year diploma respectively. |

Tkwadi: Hi All, Greetings to all the seniors in the house and congrats to those that just received their Grant. Pls I want to ask if I can use a work reference from my previous job if my current job doesn't match the occupation I choose. And also will i have to submit any document for my current job since I'm not claiming any point for it at any point during the process of my application. Thanks Provided the jobs you want to claim points for are within the last 10 years. You don't have to claim point for your current job. Just move it to personal history. You would not be required to submit any evidences for jobs you didn't claim points for. |

I want to use them again but I noticed that WES also requires a degree certificate apart from the transcript. Will etx include this automatically or do I have to contact them? If not how do I get my degree certificate to WES canada? THANKS y'all! Fax the certificate to WES Fax: +1-416-972-9004 Hellofax and many others offer free online fax services. |

Dats the must challenging. Any idea how to overcome this? Here is a method. It requires good practice. 1. Use the time given before the audio to skim the questions and scan for keywords. 2. Note key differences in your options 3. Anticipate your answers 4. Keep your eyes on the paper at all times 5. Avoid distractors |

Godisawesome: I am new here. Someone should help me. We want to move to Canada but my hubby want us ( myself and 2kids) first then he will join later. My question is who is going to be the Principal,we both have just BSC and hubby working experience is 10yrs and mine is 1. Do I need immigration agent to process it for us. We are scheduled for ielts exams next month. You do not need an immigration agent. I'd say your destiny is in your hand. If your husband's age is not too high, he can be the PA due to his years of experience. But if he's very much older, I'd say you should be the PA. Nevertheless, both of you should attempt the IELTS and aim to score minimum of LRSW8777. Also both of you should evaluate your credentials. Maybe if you give more details, we can provide more help. |

Canadianfly: Story. I read all the story you wrote about the error stemming from immigration and how you need to travel with the passport blah blah blah....the fact is, you've had the passport with the WRONG date of birth for at least a month, without trying to rectify with Nigerian Immigration. Instead you want to adjust the DoB on your transcript? Does that even make sense? It means you are happy with the incorrect DoB on your passport, and see nothing wrong in altering other documents to match it. You even wrote "you'll stick to one DoB". No mention of sticking to the TRUE DoB.
Anyway, remember that once you start a lie, you need a lie to keep covering the original lie. When you get to Canada, and there's something you need to prove like qualification, you'll start cross-checking to make sure your DoB matches? SMH! I hardly get involved in this kind of discuss, but for the sake of the green world, here is my take. You are the type that think you are all-wise abi? You seem like a self-righteous to me. Why using paracetamol for another man's headache? The guy mentioned that he doesn't have the money to effect the change on the International Passport. Which part of that comment did you miss? To have even assumed his motive even before he stated it is repulsive. To each his own world. Like he said, if you have nothing good to contribute, keep quiet. |

tonyik: Gurus in the house,
I used the EE CRS Calculator in this site : https://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html and the score is 397, for below criteria: age 40 OND/HND 10yrs experience in ICT (software developer) IELTS 7 Band Spouse, Bsc (IELTS 6), experience 1yr(NYSC)
Is it possible my point can get to 430+ to stand a chance of ITA with above profile Australia could have given me 65 (ie 10 points for education- Advanced Diploma) but i will need to have like 70 or 75 for higher chances Please advise. You'll lose a whoping 55 point because of your age. Even if you and your spouse ace your ielts, I doubt you will be able to cross the 430. schules: yes Your husband has to do his IELTS to even get a decent score. If your husband can do his ECA and also ace the ielts, I believe he should be the PA because he has a masters so far he is not too old. |

primeson1: Hello guys,
Please concerning work experience.. I initially filled all my past work experiences on my profile. I worked for 5, 4,6,8, and 5 months in 5 diff companies and soon I would clock one year on Sept 5, 2017 at my present place of work. Can I just claim my present employment as valid work experience by providing work reference for it, since I only need at least 1 year paid employment. I am saying this because those places I've worked it might be difficult getting work references, they are very very small companies, with no websites or official emails (not to talk of official company phone lines).
I just passed my ielts and will update my profile on Tuesday with 449 crs score.
But I'm thinking what will I say I was doing since finishing nysc Dec 2013 till Sept 2016 that I took up my present work, will that be a problem.? 449? It should be more than enough to get you ITA With this your score, I am assuming you have a Masters degree and you indeed aced you ielts. Between Dec 2013 to Sept 2106 -> Unemployed |

Cannie: Hello good people What do you think? I sold a couple of my properties and I was able to raise way above the POF requirement. I am looking at ITA sometimes in December. I honestly can't wait for the 6months bank thingy to apply. Does it make sense to just invest this money in treasury bills (6month tenure) immediately and use the certificate for POF even if the investment is not up to 2months? Your opinion counts I am not understanding If you have been following this thread you'll know you've not done well at all. Who told you the money must be in the account for 6 months? My brother, it is not a requirement If you've sold off some of your asset, you can include evidence of sale and explain with an LOE. Here is my 2 kobo: Start processing transcripts for ECA and start preparing for IELTS. By the time you have these on ground (~2months), gets ITA, proceed to AOR, the money has stayed enough in the account. Don't dull yourself o. If you however, do not feel comfortable with my advice, ignore my rant. |
