Saintp: Are you saying that my blood brother cannot give my wife who is the PA some points as my sibling? He is not my wife's sibling but he is my sibling and I am not the PA. Either your sibling OR the sibling of your partner will earn you the 15 points. QED |

Sorry guys. I should have updated you since. I tried calling them yesterday but wasted #900 without success. I was on hold for about 50 minutes. I got a mail that I have an update in my account this morning. Voila. The PPR mail was sent into my account. Thank you Lord Here is my timeline. AOR - 21 Sept Medical Passed - 29 Sept NA2 - 06 Oct IP2 - 16 Oct ( That's when I checked) PPR - 20 Oct Single applicant. No travel history. My application was not flawless but it can only be God. Thank you Lord. 1. There is a discrepancy in DOB on my ECA. I obtained an Attestation of Birth Certificate from NPC and attached an LOE. 2. 2 million was transfered into the POF account as gift deed a day before submission.
It can only be God. I thank all the Nairaland family for their contributions. I salute you all. The names are too numerous to mention. My special appreciate goes to elfmann for his personal contribution.
Thank you all |

jummolami: My people, I am currently experiencing delay with ECA. I have BSc, HND and ND. I am also a student member of ACCA and I have advanced diploma certificate.from Acca after I completed stage 2.
My BSc has been verified. HND is yet to be verified since Aug. School claimed not to have request after WES has sent twice.
Please can I use my Acca diploma with BSc to claim points.
And if yes can I modify my existing order with WES or I start with another evaluating body.
Please make Una advise me ooo You can combine your BSc with any of OND or HND to earn points for 2 or more certs. It is said that ACCA can also be used. But I am not familiar with the peculiarities. It seems it depend on the year/syllabus blablabla. Try to search this thread for people that have used it. Advice is needed. I am still awaiting PPR. I have a first degree in Elect eng. and I have worked for telecom companies as Field Engineer for 4 years. I am single. I want to ask the seniors in the house what the best option to settle down in Canny. 1. Enroll in Msc in a canny university and work alongside then find better job after graduation. 2. Find a job immediately or register for EIT and try to integrate. |

djokovic: Good day house I have issue disturbing me. The issue is my Date of Birth. dont knw if it will affect me. my transcript has a different date of birth on it and my passport also have a different one also. I want to do my ECA, Dont know if that will affect my chances of geeting the ITA or the PR it self. Yes, I wont be the principal applicant. My wife would be the principal Applicant. Please advice accordingly. Thank you for ur urgent response. Cc hephgirl, datechman. Dear djokovic, You worry too much. Your age is inconsequential. Since you're not the PA take a chill pill. If it will allow you to sleep better at night, attach a LOE with the birth cert / attestation of birth |

Kontagious: The call for more input was solely to educate future test takers just in case a similar case reoccurs.
However, in reading, only 40 gives band 9 and only 39 gives band 8.5. So, for you to have scored 9, means you got all 40 questions right.
For talk2jt who scored 8.5, we are not sure which question she missed, could be the question in discussion or another. But if we have informed discussion on this type of question, others might just benefit as well. Firstly the score for each band is subjected to review by BC. This means it is not cast in stone. If we go by the believe that 9.0 is 40/40 then there is no need to debate. 1500 is the answer since xpizzy got 9.0 In mathematics x < 1500 is a number just like xpizzy pointed out. 1499.999∞ However the smallest unit of money denomination is 0.01$. Therefore only 1499.99 would be logical. This is IELTS and I want to believe you're not being tested on algebra. $1500 should be about correct. #MyTake |

12go: I have paid for the courier but the verification request has not been sent. I hope I can remove my Bsc certificate. Stop confusing yourself. WES would acknowledge the receipt of your transcript and certificate before your status will change to Document Verification in Progress. All you need to do now is track the transcript to make sure it has been delivered. After you have sent your certificate and all has been acknowledged, that is when verification will start. You can edit your WES account if you are not interested in evaluating the BSc again. You can also mail them. All the best |

Mzstephh: woke up to some nice email from cic I checked and I was sent an ITA. I didn't even know the draw was yesterday. We thank God ooo, congrats to others who received theirs too. Ehen people please a quick question abeg, do I have to pay the processing fee and right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) same time . they say it speeds up the application. Did anyone pay all $1040 at one go? Congratulations on your ITA. Paying the money at a go just ensure you don't get the request to pay the money later on. You can just chillax and await the golden mail. However, except the extra few days you might incur to effect the payment later on, I don't think it's a significant determiner. |

uptown17: Pls house. I am trying to guide someone on WES. However an argument has broken out on verification type for immigration purpose should be DOCUMENT BY DOCUMENT ($171CAD) & not COURSE BY COURSE ($233CAD) I Know many people paid that $233. Pls which is truly correct? If you are on WES Canada page and you chose IRCC Imigration Evaluation, you shouldnt be asking this question. FYI, it's document by document |

Scard: Good morning everyone, Please I have few questions to ask.
1) Has anyone evaluated a UNIBEN degree with WES here? How did it go? I already collected a Transcript from the school before, so that angle should not be much of a problem.
2) What is the Tax implication for an accompanying spouse who does not intend to live in Canada, but remain in Nigeria working? Will he or she be liable to paying Tax to the Canadian government from his/her earning from Nigeria?
I would appreciate your kind responses.
Well done to all those keeping this thread alive If she's specified as unaccompanying, I see no reason why she would be taxed. At least she wouldnt have PR status. I believe the tax is for people with PR Status |

I got a message from WES saying that "photocopies of your documents have been sent to Obafemi Awolowo University for verification and that your file has been placed on hold until we receive their written response."
Who from Ife went through this and how were you able to facilitate a speedy verification response from the school?
Thanks. OAU charge a verification fee of 2.5k or so |
