MissG: Hi All,
My colleague is also on this Canadian journey but has an issue with her marriage certificate.
Her job title on her marriage certificate doesn't match with her actual job title at the time. She put Managing Director as her job title on her marriage certificate because she had just started a personal business although she was working at the time. Her husband put Entrepreneur as his even though he was also working.
She is really worried about this. Would this be an issue if noticed by the VO?
Will appreciate your response.
Thank you! If it will allay her fear, let her explain it with an LOE. I don't think there is much else she can do. |

Losami: i factored in nysc and that was how i was able to get 2years of work experience. i graduated january 2016. You are in a bind here. Either you wait until you have 3 years experience or you hope the CSR draw gets that low. Even PNP is not for people without much experience. |

mamacajah: ok laugh while you can, I don't mind. What I was trying to do was combine all my job roles into one. I did fleet data management for over 7 years, then progressed to fleet compliance with HSE standards such as vehicle and driver tracking, handling all cases of driver violations, driver training programs for old and new drivers, journey management training programs for staff and drivers, etc. Hope this clarifies..
and at the bolded is what I was asking for help on. I have tried finding an NOC that aligns to the job roles I have done or the job descriptions, but the only NOC I found 1215 has just one line out of the whole duties detailed there which tallies with my job role duties and I got to understand here that the NOC needs to tally at least 80% to be accepted and I don't want to get mis representation on this post ITA, hence why I am asking for help and clarification now. You dont need to use all the experience you have. 3 years give you max point. The rest can be used as persobal history. Just use anyone of your roles (3+ yrs) whose duties align well with a noc. 80% is a rule of thumb. Sometimes you can only match a few of the job descriptions. Your reference letter should be tweaked if possible. Hope this helps |

mamacajah: Hello All, Please I still need some clarification on this:
So I have finally gotten my ECA from WES completed (HALLELUYAH) after 4 months of back and forth with OAU and I am preparing for my IELTS test. So I need help with the following as I begin to gather the necessary documents for post ITA.
1. NOC- I am yet to sight an NOC for my work experience. My work was logistics HSE / data management related and the only NOC that seems to be close is 1215 but its only one item from the whole NOC description that I can link my work to. Other jobs done can be linked to NOC 1241 (Administrative assistant) and NOC 1411. So which NOCs do I use?
cc:cochtrane Use the NOC whose job descriptions best match your work. Job titles don't matter much. I laughed at the bolded. Naija |

Skilled work experience Your work experience must be: in the same type of job as your primary NOC within the last 10 years paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count) at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC) at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous: full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) You must show that you did the duties set out in the occupational description in the NOC. This includes most of the main duties listed. NYSC and Housemanship are paid. Baba just get a good reference letter olu21ola: Hello house, I am preparing to start this process so I have been researching. No. 1 on this post caught my attention. I am a medical doctor and I plan to use my housemanship (internship) and Nysc experience to claim points. These are not permanent or full time employments. I think I have seen some posts where ppl used their Nysc job experience to claim points. Please I need to know my chances as these are the only job experiences I have. I will really appreciate responses. Thank you |

lovetree: Hello good people...thank you so much for all your response, and congrats to the new batch of PPR recipients. So happy for you guys.
So i calculated my score on the link provided and my maximum score is 438 while hubby is 408 using the highest IELTS scores, so that makes me the principal applicant. Should I just go for PNP straightaway when I apply or still chill in the EE pool. The Last 7 draws were: 423, 415, 413, 449, 440, 441, 433 Do the permutations yourself. I'd advise you chill a little. Enter the pool first. Observe 4 to 5 draws. Even if you have the money, PNP is a bumpy route. |

linuslynx: Hello guys, congrats to all new PPR recipients. I have just two questions for now because I'm begining to have doubts even though my ECA and IELTS is in progress.
1. Does someone who has been denied UK Visa thrice stand a chance to get PPR? and the visa refusals were for funny reasons like large sums paid into account and no clear ties to a friend who sent an invite.
2. For a banker with over 5 years experience in operations having worked in all departments concerned with ops duties, which NOC is advisable because I can't find any suitable under NOC A, B and C. Let it not be after all efforts one won't now find which NOC to fit himself.
Pls assist. 1. This does not affect your application in any way. Not unless you lie about it. 2. noc 6235 seems to be perfect. It depends on your role actually. Check these too 0122, 1434, 1114 |

5Kay: My people, good day.
Please my transcript was sent to IQAS with a different age while my international passport carries a different age. I didnt know transcripts bear ones age, now i'm troubled as to whether it will affect my ECA already paid to be assessed by IQAS.
Please if anyone here has had similar issue pls advice on next step and/or best option. I appreciate the help. I guess they had given you a copy of the transcript. Well, it will affect your ECA. ECA report carries the DOB of the applicant. From experience WES and IQAS had been known to choose the one on the transcript even though you might have filled a different DOB on their application form. I am in the same shoe as you. There is not much of an advice anyone can give. Unless you can somehow effect the change in DOB from your institution and then get a new transcript across to IQAS. |

yimiton: Guys, please I have a question regarding POF and the need for LOE.
1. About half the PoF is from the money I saved up in my office's cooperative society. I used the money to buy T.bills and the T.bills is about 2 months old now.
2. I have a letter from my bank in the CiC format. The letter mentions my T.bills and the dom account, which has the other half of the money.
3. I did a detailed LOE attaching my payslips to show that the money was deducted from my salary monthly and my statement of account to show that the Cooperative society paid the money into my account.
My question is, do I really need to explain the T.bills money with all these supporting documents? Is it advisable to discard the LOE and simply attach the Bank's letter and the T.bills certificate? If I were you, I would save myself the headache of having to explain how I got money for the T-bills from source A and B and C. If your salary account looks good and it is not illogical to have that kind of money, save yourself the stress. Explaining that you got money from a thrift(cooperative) doesn't sit well with me. Keep it simple my brother. If you feel you need to explain how you got all the money, keep it simple |

cochtrane: Option 1: Get a new passport matching the DOB on ECA
Option 2: Get in touch with your school, change your DOB on their system and redo your ECA
Option 3: fill in the dob on your passport and Write a LOE and explain to the VO why there's such discrepancy. Hope that the VO will understand.
Option 4: follow this advice here. Though it didn't work for this other person, it could work for you https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/40#41475529 Thanks for the options elfmann. bbaby84: Did the school make a mistake? Or is there a reason you have conflicting DOBs? Perhaps the elders should truly come and advise. This one is out of my league. Congrats on the ECA! The school made a mistake. It was a mistake that was inherited from my WASSCE result. OAU just lifted the DOB from that result. Hence the issue. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this until I requested for the transcript. Had it been that I have original Birth Ceritificate, I would seek solace in a good LOE. |

The DOB quoted on the report is the DOB on the transcript. The DOB on my international passport is different.
Please elders, how do you suggest I resolve this? |

And the Acacia wasn't so strange to be so I got that. I think you should contest the 6.5 Listening - I remember Acacia. I almost missed it. I slipped on 2 questions in section 4. Reading was the easiest for me though. I had time to wee and even double-check. I slipped up on the writing. I spent too much time on section 1. I was still on section 1 when I heard 20 minutes more. I will not advice anyone to use an agent...they are SCAMMERS!!! Now we finally got our ITA but the agent is asking for another fee for continuation. I want to end the contract and continue on my own. Any advice on how to go about it? Thank you All and God Bless Did he use your email to create the profile? If yes you can gain access to the account and continue with the application yourself. I suspect the answer is No. If you have access to your IELTS and ECA, you can create a new profile. Read from page 0 or find mr cochtrane to find specific information. |
