PoliticsRe: GHANA Is Moving Ahead Of NIGERIA, Is Simply Because Islam Has No Place. by Datiboboi: 3:10pm On Sep 22, 2013
Ricky_Ross: I dont even need to argue with people like you.

1. How did I know D'Ivoire is more developed than Ghana? Bc I have business in both countries. Ivory Coast has d best road networks in West Africa to start with. Ask any Nigerian or Ghanaian living in Ivory Coast to tell you. Ivory Coast has at least 2 developed cities Ghana does not have any. Accra is a Slum without any world class facility. FACT

2. Ghana literacy rate cannot be 80% and i don't believe any of those government figures. Let me ask you, have you ever met any taxi driver in Lagos or Abuja that does not speak English? In ACCRA that happens to be the capital of Ghana at least 30% of taxi drivers do not speak English. I feel ashamed each time i stop a young boy or girl within the age of 30 and they tell you they don't speak English, ask Nigerians in Ghana if I am lying.

3. Ghana is as corrupt as Nigeria and I gave you facts. I don't believe all the western media. That same western media that told you Ghana is 6th least corrupt in Africa were the same people that ranked ghanas health sector second most corrupt in Africa just during the bruhaha with cosmos energy of USA. Thre is no other African country that do 419 scam as Nigerians and Ghanaians and this is a fact. There is no other country in Africa where police workd hand in hand with scammers apart from Nigeria and Ghana. In ghana i can kill anyone and get away with it as long as i settle police. Walk into any internet cafe in ghana and see things for yourself. Go google search about sakawa and see things for yourself.
Last few months ghana gold scammers stole 8 million us dollars from iraqi gold dealers and they paid the ghana IGP one million dollars to allow them scammers load FAKE GOLD into the private jet the victim came with. This cannot happen anywhere else in Africa. I can go on and on but i dont have such time.

HOW DO YOU EVEN MEASURE CORRUPTION? ANY GHANAIAN CAN SELL THEIR PASSPORT FOR MONEY, FACT. ANY GHANAIAN CAN DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY, FACT. GHANAS ONLY REFINERY IN TEMA HAS BEEN SHUT MANY TIMES LIKE NIGERIAN REFINERIES AND MOST TIMES ITS PRODUCING LESS THAN 50% CAPACITY ALL THESE BC OF CORRUPTION. THESE ARE FACTS.
WHERE IS GHANA AIRWAYS, IS IT NOT CORRUPTION THAT KILLED IT? I CAN GO ON AND ON BUT I DONT HAVE THE TIME. In West Africa, Ghana is second most corrupt just After Nigeria. Most Ghanaian overseas are either credit card scammers or drug barons.

4. Your rantings about ghana politics is laughable because I am sure you dont know ghana, you never been there you only rely on what you hear or read online. THE OPPOSITION IN GHANA DID NOT ACCEPT THE ELECTION RESULT TILL DATE, THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT DEFEAT AND THEY ARE CURRENTLY CHALLENGING THE PRESIDENT IN COURT. these are verifiable facts.

5. I am not going to discuss the education issue again bc it is pointless. How do you prove to anyone that you are educated? WHEN GHANA STARTS PRODUCING PEOPLE LIKE SUEN OSEWA, DANGOTE, LEO STAN EKE, WOLE SOYINKA, CHINUA ACHEBE, INNOSON MOTORS ETC WE CAN TALK. You cant tell me you are educate when you cannot compete even in your home country. Every sector of ghanas economy is dominated by foreigners. Just last week First Bank Nigeria bought their ICB bank of Ghana. What do they teach Ghanaians in school? Is it how to make bastard children everywhere? Why are their educated folks not floating banks or even airlines? What about supermarket? All the few shopping malls in ghana are foreign owned?
I agree with you totally, the point you raised is undebatable. But from what i see, the op is trying to paint a picture of what islam has inflicted in our society. Can you imagine where this country would have been rated if their is zero tolerance of religion.

IGBO-SON:
NCAA May Close Enugu Airport

20 Sep 2013

By Chinedu Eze

There are indications that the Akanu Ibiam Airport in Enugu may be closed for international operations, as the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has said the airport’s designation as international airport was not gazetted and therefore there was no white paper to give it legal teeth to that effect.

A dependable source told THISDAY that the designation of Ethiopian Airlines to operate from the airport was done by Presidential fiat so it was a temporary situation that could only subsist at the whims of the regulatory body and at the behest of the President that gave the order.

The NCAA source said only four airports in the country were gazetted and these include Port Harcourt, Abuja, Lagos and Kano airports, adding that tourists who always wanted to land directly from overseas destinations to the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar were always denied the chance because the airport was not gazetted as international airport.

However, the Special Adviser (Media) to the Minister of Aviation, Joe Obi, told THISDAY that saying that the Enugu airport has not been gazetted as international airport is “very, very improbable.”

“It does not sound plausible because the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu is an international airport by all definition and once any airline or charter operator has the required clearance he can fly into the airport,” he said.

THISDAY learnt that last week a chartered flight from Accra, Ghana wanted to airlift investors from the Ghanaian capital directly to Enugu for business meeting and from Enugu to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, but NCAA refused to process the document for the flight’s clearance; rather, the Air Transport Regulation (ATR) of NCAA directed the pilot of the aircraft to fly first to Abuja before taking off to Enugu and from Enugu it flew back to Abuja and henceforth to Malabo, a tortuous journey and waste of fuel.

When contacted the General Manager, Public Affairs of NCAA, Fan Ndubuoke, was ambivalent, unable to authenticate or deny the position of the official from ATR, but said the person or organisation that wanted to process the flight from Ghana might not be the right organisation to do that.

He warned that charter operators and others should be wary about the companies they contact to process flights for them.

Also the General Manager, Corporate Communication, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Yakubu Dati, said he would investigate the matter, and noted that not only that Ethiopian Airlines is operating from the airport but other airlines have indicated interest to also operate from Enugu.

******* ******* *******

At bolded: Looks like we can kiss that potential investment goodbye just b'cos someone somewhere didn't do their job well; or maybe the potential investors phoned NCAA for clearance or whatever it is they need to land at AIIA, and some bitter knobhead barked down the phone at them, saying: 'Enugu has no fuc/king international airport......pick Abuja or Lagos instead!', and then slammed the phone down on them. with rude finality!

They had better gazette whatever b/4 GEJ and Stella Oduah leave office!
Igboson or whatever next time you don't simply believe what your enemies may have conspired, you may kiss goodbye to AIIA but you might as well wake up from dream and to discover that the potential investment is still standing strong, just like Stella odua has highlited that more flight have showed interest to ply the root

"...THE Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, has challenged the people of the South East to make the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu not just viable, but among the top three airports in West Africa in no distant time.

She also showered appreciation on President Goodluck Jonathan for making this dream come true.

The minister made this statement in Awka, Anambra State, while delivering a keynote address at a conference organised by the league of Anambra professionals.

Speaking through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr George Ossi Afamefuna, the minister, while thanking President Goodluck Jonathan for making the dream come true, urged the state government to draw up a road map to achieve their goals.

"This is what we did upon assumption of office at the Ministry of Aviation. We found civil aviation in a deplorable state and drew up a road map to transform the sector, in line with the Transformation Agenda of the President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan.

“We are following the road map vigorously to be the best Aviation Industry in Africa and one of the best in the world and in our mission to build a safe, secure and efficient aviation industry focused on making Nigeria a hub that meets International Standards and Best Practices for the African continent."

She said that the on-going construction of the new international and cargo terminals, the commissioning of the remodelled and reconstructed terminal of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu and the commencement of the Enugu – Addis Ababa route by Ethiopian Airlines, Ndi Igbo are benefitting from Mr President’s Transformation Agenda.

She said the new facility would on completion handle 500,000 international passengers annually and would have several commercial offerings, including 60 shops, lounges with soothing ambience and modern conveyor belts, and a new car park.

The cargo terminal is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

kostadinis: Gen. Ihejirika's idea is without precedents and successful ones for that matter. In an ever decreasing world of conflicts, the military around the globe are trying to expand their scope of objectives which includes but not limited to running corporated organizations.

Egypt's Ministry of Military Production manages at least 14 companies - producing merchandise varying from tank shells and ammunition to fertilisers, sports equipment, cement, pasta and even owning child care centers in the face of receiving over 3 Billion Us dollars hand out from the US government every year. So, what is the fuss about the Nigerian army trying to tinker with investments to help her solve her needs in the ever shrinking Nigeria's defence allocation? Gen. Ihejirika has refurbished and/or built new barracks than any of his predecessors. Under his watch, the NA has begun to sell light military wares beyond the borders of Nigeria. It takes a sharp and innovative mind (not the usual drunken "gwodogwodo" Nigerian General) to put in place a corporate strategic investment plan such as this and the ones before this one. Think for a moment please. Don't just type words for the sake of making comments!
God bless you.
Most of this people ranting about army building a hotel are just envy of anything done by this administration. They want to take us back to the 1st and 2nd republic where thire four fathers mismanaged this country.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Is A Disgrace - Asari Dokubo by Datiboboi:
shachris: Former militant and national leader of the now rested Niger Delta Peoples Volunteers Force, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has described President Goodluck Jonathan as a disappointment to the Ijaw nation, saying that he’s weak and unassertive as a leader.

Dokubo-Asari stated this while reacting to the ongoing power tussle in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The former militant lamented that Jonathan could not take bold and courageous steps to handle the situation like a true Ijaw man who is famous for boldness and exceptional courage.

He told National Mirror that the President should be guided by an Ijaw famous saying, “Ama Doko Doko Biokpo,” which he interpreted to mean “small, small towns but they are very courageous and keep hope alive.”

Asari-Dokubo said he was still unhappy over what he termed “poor response” to the crisis rocking the ruling party by the Presidency.

He thus advised Jonathan to emulate former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who confronted and dealt with the rebels in the party during his tenure.

He asked Jonathan to stop further peace talks and negotiation with persons like Obasanjo and former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar.

He said, “Jonathan is disgracing the Ijaw people and people of the South-South by negotiating with these dissidents. I am terribly annoyed by the way he is handling this issue, he is a disgrace. If he cannot withstand them, he should tell us because there is no basis for negotiation.

“This is the time for Jonathan to act like an Ijaw man and he should stop disgracing us.

“Jonathan should hit them and he should tell us if he cannot hit them so that we can help him to hit them mercilessly. I have the potential to hit them hard. It is on record that I once held Nigeria hostage and Nigeria could not produce oil for 48 hours and my activities forced the prices of crude oil globally to rise by $30 one day. It was unprecedented and I can repeat it.

“The plot against Jonathan will surely fail, but the President should be decisive with these people once and for all. Jonathan should assert himself as the President and put these people where they should be. Obasanjo, who is leading these people did two terms and he plotted a third term.

“There should be no negotiation with dissidents. It should be total war, no retreat, no surrender and let us see who will run first. There is time for peace and there is time for war. This is the time to go to war.

“Jonathan should know that this is the time for war and if he cannot sustain the war, we will help him to sustain it. How many governors attempted to frustrate Obasanjo? Ibori and others were united behind Atiku Abubakar to frustrate Obasanjo and they failed because Obasanjo was strong, assertive, decisive and courageous.

“Jonathan should be strong to deal with them but whether he is strong or not, we are ready to support and stand by him. It is not a one-man battle but a total war and they must be totally vanquished.”

Meanwhile, Asari-Dokubo has called on Jonathan to hand over the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, to the ex-fighters in the Niger Delta for a decisive action.

On Amaechi, he said, “Let the security men step aside and let us see how Amaechi can come to Rivers State. Amaechi should not be protected because he has betrayed the collective interest of the Niger Delta.

“Jonathan should be decisive and look at the other way and allow us to stand on the streets for 24 hours and we will see whether this madness by Amaechi will not end.”

I completely support dokubo on one.
The fact that gej is slow to action has alway end up on his face a punch from the good the bad and the ugly and even these deadly political criminals, that want zip up Nigeria with these there symptoms of born to rule mentality. His silence has also degenerate to a point that some wasted sperm on this forum seize the chance to make fun of at any slittiest opportunity, to the point that google has placed him as the most abused president of all time.
One will recall how these drama started, when buhary vowed to make the country ungovernable if he loose the election back in 2011.Buhary kept to his word and Nigeria turned to Afghanistan over nite and the president was watching.
From there, the Taliban discovered a safe haven in the north of nigeria where they lunch thire deadly attack on Nigeria population and it took almost 2 years before the the govt. summoned courage to challenge the group. From thire the Amechi saga came in, Amechi being controlled by the Muslim brotherhood from the north kept abusing and disgracing the federal govt., and the president was so quite and afraid to confront these problem, his problem.
Now these act of cowardliness has metamorphosed to the new crisis that the pdp is encountering .
The big question is, can he stand the wolfs that is ready to suck his blood and eat his bones huh can he stand the the pressures from the like of OBJ, atiku, and even the Muslim party of Nigeria .huh?
Well I'm not a politician but any right thinking human being that stays in Nigeria will attest to what I've just stated above.
The bottom line of what in trying to say is that president goodluck Jonathan can not lead a country like Nigeria . not with this kind of attitude.

After all president Obama won the peace price in 2009,but would that stop him from confronting Or Striking hard on his enemies. huhhuh??

Lets hope that Enugu will upgrade some of her hotels such as Hotel Presidential which needs foreign investment and expertise to come in and upgrade it to a five star hotel of world class.
The Nigerian Army is to build its 1st 5star standard hotel in Enugu as part of its efforts to diversify its sources of funding, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, has said.
Ihejirika said the hotel would be built under a public-private partnership arrangement. He said the hotel would offer alternatives to soldiers in transit while it would also be accessible to the civilian population.
He also commended the division for the work at the mess which he described as a five-star mess.
