I verified my account with the NIN slip 2 years ago. When selecting the type of ID, I believe there is an option for "others". Click on "others" and try again.

Note, that's what I didn't 2 years ago and it worked. I don't know of today.

tnx

Ayomipoe:
Because it is paper.
They have some requirements about the ID, I can't recall. However, it cannot be paper or handwritten.

Nawao

Ayomipoe:
Is that the only GOVT ID that you have? Even an expired one?

My advice to you is that you contact support.
Picture attached is the approach I took when Nigeria wanted to kill me because I want to get passport, they verified me with the details and images I provided.

the only one I have is the nim slip honestly, I don't know why they're rejecting it

Pls how do I verify my Nigerian Upwork account, I uploaded national I'd printout from the nimc app but it was rejected severally.

Emeraldfynest:
Yeah sure, sent you a DM.

I don't have access to that email anymore, maybe you could spell out your contact and quote me then delete it the moment I like it.

Emeraldfynest:
Hello, I'm a UI/UX Designer

Can we exchange contacts, I have alot to talk about as a newbie, let's exchange ideas if you're up for it.

Any UI and ux designer here?

windvane:
120k

nope

LIKER6:
You dey Lagos?

no

The idiot kept talking about her ex who treated her like she!t and disrespected her in every way possible while we're on a date, when he got tired of her he told her they need a break, I was sitting there with her on some stupid date and she kept ranting about her ex then called me her brother, that's how I called it a night and went home, lemme have my peace.

I always laugh when I hear people say those hijab wearing people are very decent because of the way they dress. You will see them bashing christian girls for dressing indecently but they're worse than the girls they criticize.

Southerners dey learn for àshawo work compared to wetin those hijab people dey do. Middle belt own dey another level, fvck be like food for dem. I nor fit talk wetin my eyes see for Benue.

Useless people!

The way you lie ehn, you didn't see anything in benue you preek, I have lived there for years, infact most of my childhood, there's prostitution everywhere in Nigeria, don't blow stuff out of proportion for cheap attention.

EMIOMOADEOYE:
The trick is not to find jobs. Find people instead.

You do UI/X find a senior developer or a CTO and network with him.

Find developer companies and search for key stakeholders and pitch them an offer.

The beat jobs are the ones that were not advertised

Nice, I'll try that and see, thanks for this.

FunnyDude:
Truth is, no skills that's not saturated already. Amidst the saturation, you can still attract your own raving clients and make a bank with it.
I'm telling you from personal experience.

I got on Upwork during the peak of Covid, when alot of people are seriously embrassing remote work and flooded freelance platforms.
Yet, I caved a path for myself.
You can as well.

Just pick one niche, one type of client, and one solution you will achieve for them.

(Be an expert in ONE field, don't be a generalist)

Focus on that, and you should make it.

All skills are saturated online.

Focusing on one skill isn't what I have in mind though, I don't want to be a jack of all trades true but what I see on remote work websites is very discouraging, I realized that most jobs require a plethora of interwoven skills and additional skills, take frontend dev jobs for instance, when they list out what you'll be doing they'll say you should also have knowledge of this and that, most front end dev jobs require you to know UI and ux, some require you to also know backend, some require you to also be a QA analyst, I'm just confused.

EMIOMOADEOYE:
If you have UI/UX and Software Dev skills, you should not be on Upwork.

Go to LinkedIn and find your clients there.

Checked LinkedIn bro, na Nigerian jobs they dey show me, I have used search filters all to no avail.

Pocohantas, pls how did u create your cs portfolio, and which cheap bootcamp do u suggest, the skill I'm learning will take almost a year and person gats make a little something to carry hold body while learning, finished my UI and ux course but I feel I'm not good enough still so I bought another course, I'm okay with perfecting my craft before working but while learning I need small money to carry hold body, pls can you take time out of your busy schedule to give me some deep advice, I really need it now.

Healthquest:
jobs on upwork

I am really taking my time to learn more and be good at it before trying to actually work, I know it won't be easy sha cuz my niche is very saturated already

Healthquest:
saturated on freelance but you can get your own if you know how to package ur cover letter

Get my own what?

Healthquest:
it requires solidity language. It's just a bit from Java script.

UI/UX are fantastic but my problem with them is that we have alot of freelancers who are into it.

What I do generally is to try and insert my self into the *emerging tech* which obviously has lesser crowd.

AI related service
Blockchain
App testing
And so on like dat.
You can.even find some of them if you search it from the job section.

Went into UI and ux because I am good at designing and creativity, only for me to see it's already saturated, I tried to branch into software development to augument it and realized it's also saturated, I'm just stuck in limbo now, unable to move forward.

Healthquest:
Blockchain developer.

Specifically on 5 chains namely; Erc20 ,Algo,core,Bep20,fantom

Very nice, should've learnt that instead of UI and ux, does it require coding skills.

Healthquest:
blockchain in general plus a sprinkle of Video Editing

Pls what about Blockchain in particular, be specific.
