But, there was nothing I could do. “Continuing the relationship would have been silly of me, particularly when Faith’s mother attempted to bathe me with acid. “I was lucky to have run away, but not before some of the acid she threw at me had splashed on and burnt my hand.WHATTT? |
So members wey get opposing views no suppose attend the sociopolitical (abi?) group again? Are all of them pdp members? What of the other two candidates in the main opposition? They happen to be Northerners. So what's with all these sentiments? If Jonathan would have stepped aside for Atiku, would he win the election against Buhari or Nuhu Ribadu? One thing this group should understand is that we're looking forward to a transparent, free and fair election where every person will go to the ballot box to express his own opinion. They don't need to display themselves. So if the President wins with high votes in the Northern States, I'm sure it would be cos the president either arm-twisted evryone or gave every voter a brown envelope. And after that, maybe they'll have to drive Northerners away from their homes. For this Country to move forward, this attitude/mindset has to change. We haven't even started talking about competence yet o! We are dwelling on 'what part of the country is the candidate from?' Is it that when one person from one part of the country is President, he abandons other parts of the country and develops only his part or what? |
Quote from Tsiya You are not being sincere here. This is a common man statement when his candidate didn't win. It is the kind of statement that is pronounced day and night in Nigeria, from the plains of Sokoto to the swamp of Niger Delta. His words are not sufficient enough to judge him. He is a common young man, not a political figure head.Abeg my brother, this is not a common man's statement. If it was, by now everywhere would have been upside down. Besides if someone's candidate loses an election, should he go about praying curses on his opponents and supporters? Not to talk of the level to which the guy took it. I bet if his father was with Lamido, he would be fighting with all his might whoever put Pastor, Bishop or Reverend as a prefix to his father's name. There's one attitude many Nigerians should really drop: When things are going their way or the way they support, they would consider everything to be just fine, regardless if it's at the detriment of a few with no foreseable good. But when things don't go their way, they don't mind causing chaos at the expense of even lives of others. |
^^^ Those are provocative statements which obviously, the moukhtar ibrahim wouldn't have taken lightly if the situation was the other way round. These are the kind of people that should be subdued and counselled thoroughly! Because the governor's activities don't favour your father's political ambitions doesn't mean you should go about posting inflammatory statements, promoting inter-religious hatred and havoc ultimately. More than enough is going on in the country already. Freedom of speech definitely doesn't include issuing potentially destructive and provocative statements or speeches, and worsae of all, all in the name of your father's political ambition; all at the expense of people's lives and property. If you were not satisfied with the governor's activities you are free to express yourself, just like other people do normally, but not Islamising the whole thing and making a ridicule of another's own faith/religion in even an accusatory manner. |

Quote from: Abagworo on Today at 07 :46 :48 PM That is the major reason why Nigerians want him. Many of these Politicians will die by firing squad.Friends! Are you sure about that? So Buhari will begin by rounding up all the past generals and ending their careers ? He will also have to execute at least hundreds of politicians which would definitely include some in his own party; who perpetrated then ran to CPC. He will have to do these first before any petty thief/criminal or drug smuggler is executed. |

All these confusion, mistrust and jumping here and there is because there's NO credible person amongst all of them. They've all put their personal interest ahead of any other 'flimsy' issue. Buhari's claiming he'll get the votes from the North - based on what? Because he's a Northerner? Should that now be the basis of why a candidate should be voted for? Many Northerners are exposed and educated and know what to do in order for this country to move forward. But wait, if these parties have a common interest for this Country - Eradication of corruption, peaceful coexistence of citizens, etc - what would it take to merge into one? |
@Honeric 5 mosques were burnt during that unrest in Bauchi, NOT 50! I wouldn't support violence and vandalism, but then, the aggressor who goes about attacking innocent citizens, women and children, and people during their sleep should NOT expect people's sympathy! |
'Wild Wild West' by M.I. Yeah, I just wanna cry I just wanna know why my people struggling, they unified Wanna blame somebody, middle finger in the sky Let them linger while the anger you are feeling vaporize I just wanna pick a gun and start to run Where the evil ones honored upon the cranium Put the gun against their temple Squeeze the bullets into their mental Curses on my dental, so vengeful But with my pencil I stencil the pain Try my best to show the world events full of shame J. Town is peace but they try to cancel the name But even when the fire burns, the stain still remains When I heard I was like “Oh God, not her again” But in faith we remain, hoping for the day break Do whatever that it may take I heard somebody say Better get your guns Better get your vests Cause in J. Town it’s the wild wild west Down here everyone curse, no one bless Nobody care, nobody know tears So know this Until you feel the gun blast Nobody gon’ sleep and nobody gon’ rest Down here everyone curse, no one bless Cause in J. Town it’s the wild wild west Wishful is, my memories of peaceful bliss Now the streets full of all these sickfulness Evil is, not around where all of my people lives Will the evil quit? J. Town, I miss how you were Tell me, how did this occur? Now memories of peace are a blur You were so pretty I swore Driving through the city thinking this is not her She seems so strange When did she change? Blood on her streets, smoke in the sky Can’t feel her heart beat, blow hope in her eye. Muffins, coffins, bastards, caskets, mass burials How we gonna move past these? The sun is about to set, I’m getting ready for a war I feel it isn’t done yet M.I. (J-Town Artist) |

Right now, what are Nigerians to do? If all these allegations/reports are true, is there no medium through which Nigerians can communicate with GEJ himself? The most disturbing issue is the Jos crises. The main problem is that there are no other candidates contesting for the presidential office as far as I'm concerned. Until when the Nigerian People are able to produce their own Candidates by themselves on the basis merit and unified decisions, instead of wasting time and energy supporting either a desperate individual or one is being USED by an equally corrupt/or even worse party, (and mind you, all of them have imposed themselves on the People to be voted for, and not actually chosen by the people to run for any office in the first place) the kind of quick change they desire would be quite elusive. Nigerians are not dumb People, I believe a good percentage have good foresight and think deeply concerning future possibilities and then weigh the positives against the negatives. Is there really going to be overall positive change if any of the two other parties comes to power? Do I really know who the candidates contesting are and their true ideologies? Am I being sentimentally against the presently ruling party due to their overall poor score in handling affairs of the country in the last 12 years that I may support someone who may even be worse-off? Can Change be made with what we have at hand now and if so, which change would be more convincing and lasting - a change emanating from within the present party or a change with a new political party? |
