Even security personnels are outnumbered and overpowered. How then do they protect others now.

Nigerians living fake is what upsets me the most. They always like to show up even when behind they know fully well they are brutally down. I detest fake people! |
Agent Mino Raiola has died, confirmed his family, after a long battle with illness. ‘Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players.’ The representative had been ill for some time and receiving treatment in Milan for many months, which prompted two different reports he had died in the last four months. He received a visit from Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic this week, one of his best-known clients, while Mario Balotelli and Paul Pogba sent messages. Raiola was probably the most famous football agent in the world, born in Italy and moving to the Netherlands as a child. He got into the sport first as a translator, and then becoming a remarkable talent scout who could negotiate the best deals for his players. His rather rough way of dealing with clubs and the media also garnered headlines, as well as his extraordinary wealth gained from commissions.

In my own opinion, It basically ruined his life, more like it. But of course Jada Pinkett Smith is world champion “making something about me”. Imagine a young man whose father mercilessly abused his mother for years. Was unfaithful to her. His life was rough, his childhood brutal. And all he wants is to marry a woman, love her, devote himself to her and their children. Give them the childhood he never had. He is wired for monogamy. He’s a one woman type of lad. But she isn’t… she is “free spirited” and wants to have an “open relationship”. Wants to be able to ‘see’ other men. He goes along with it. Even though it isn’t him. Isn’t his style. And it breaks his heart, every time she walks out the door to meet another “boyfriend”. But he doesn’t want to break his family. His marriage has to work. He’s desperate to make it all work out. Some people are made to be with one person. Others simply aren’t. And when two people who are incompatible in such a massively fundamental way get together? It’s a tragedy. The Smith-Pinkett marriage is like a terrible car crash we have all been witnessesing for decades as it unfolds before our very eyes in tabloids and round tables discussions and interviews, one shady little detail at a time. Their partnership has become a punching bag, a meme, a joke for everyone but the people involved. Will Smith has out on a brave face, kept his head high but we all have our limits and he’s clearly reaches his, long ago, his strenght stretched thin. You can just slap a nice little label on it. “Oh he’s spineless, a cuck, pussy-whipped, lol what a loser” and be done with it. But that’s an overly simplistic and rather cruel way of describing the tragedy that is Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It’s like one of those early-in-life relationships where you discover fairly early on that your partner is totally not “your person”. There are monumental differences you know you can’t overcome. Red flags galore. You may hang on for a while… but you know things are doomed. Now imagine such a relationship NOT ending, because one of the partners is desperate to not ‘fail’. That’s the sad situation we’re dealing with here. Decades of ‘sunk cost fallacy’ and childhood trauma keeping two souls tied together that have no business being together. Marrying a man she was clearly not compatible with has been an absolute disaster for both Will Smith and his wife Jada. They both suffered. He endulged her. She enjoyed herself. While all it did for him was wear him down. Last March he reached his breaking point… it was a long time coming.

God may have rested on the seventh day after so much work of creating the heavens and the earth, the snakes, the lions, the beast and all that were created. I guess that was the last day he enjoyed his rest because Nigerians call upon him 24/7, praying and pumping fist and begging him to pour down fire and brimstones on enemies that won't let us make headway. What does Nigeria do better than other countries? Being optimistic. The evidence of our optimistic spirit lies everywhere. In the way we hustle, the way we talk. We don't say negative things to ourselves at all. Instead of saying I am sick, we say I am strong. Why would I tell anyone I am poor when I should say I am rich. When a Nigerian tells you ‘’I will become the greatest by force'' please kindly understand he is not bragging. He is speaking his dreams into existence. There is no room for despair when we see ourselves, we are good at encouraging one another and saying it’s well. I was asking a vendor I usually patronise if he still has a particular item I always love to buy, he said it has finished. Then I said since your own has finished let me buy from another. He raised his hands to heaven and said his own will not finish in Jesus name. A typical Nigerian will reject every negative statement in any conversation. For all it's political and economic troubles, Nigerians still remain optimistic and happy. Opportunities doesn't come knocking on our doors, we chase it knowing God is always on our side. Our optimistic spirit has created a lot of motivational speakers that encourages us to always aspire to acquire so that what we admire and desire will not expire but give way for us to inspire. Or Don't give up. You need to aspire, acquire, admire, perspire, require and desire so that you can retire in peace. Lol. I love our optimistic spirit. I love my Nigeria.

From Santiago Canizares missing the 2002 World Cup after accidently breaking a bottle of aftershave that sliced his foot, to Queen of the South goalkeeper Sam Henderson injuring his shoulder after colliding with a cow, footballers can pick up injuries in the most unusual of circumstances. Hartlepool United midfielder Mark Shelton can be added to that list. The Nottingham-born 25-year-old is ruled out of Pools' game against Scunthorpe United on Saturday because of an unlikely issue. "Mark's had a cotton bud in his ear that has gone in too far," boss Graeme Lee told BBC Radio Tees. "He's gone to the hospital, sounds like the tweezers have gone in too far and he's dizzy and can't stand up." Not a bad tackle, a mistimed lunge, a tussle in the air. But, a cotton bud. Some of the oddest injuries reported by players •Former Wimbledon and England goalkeeper Dave Beasant was ruled out after dropping a bottle of salad cream on his foot •Wales and Barnsley midfielder Darren Barnard slipped on a puddle after his dog had an accident indoors and was out for five months with damaged knee ligaments •Reading striker Leroy Lita had a leg muscle injury after stretching in bed •Goalkeeper Richard Wright fell from a loft while packing away suitcases and injured his shoulder while with Everton

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has been named men's footballer of the year and Chelsea's Sam Kerr women's footballer of the year by the Football Writers' Association (FWA). Egypt striker Salah has scored 30 goals for quadruple-chasing Liverpool this season, including 22 in the Premier League. Australia international Kerr has scored 18 Women's Super League goals for league leaders Chelsea. Salah previously won the award in 2018. The 29-year-old was part of the Liverpool side that beat Chelsea to lift the Carabao Cup in February. Kerr, 28, is the leading scorer in the WSL and helped Chelsea secure their place in May's FA Cup final against Manchester City. "Both Mo and Sam have been outstanding this season, breaking records for club and country," FWA chair Carrie Brown said. "As well as their performances on the pitch, they are leaders and standard bearers of excellence at their clubs and respective leagues." |
Schmid also said the initiative was following two basic principles, one of Germany not being at war, and the other principle of "Putin must not win this war." "This is why we support Ukraine with everything we have at our disposal, politically, diplomatically, economically and of course, in a very measured way, militarily," he said. |
According to Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Victor Osimhen’s agent met Aurelio De Laurentiis and Cristiano Giuntoli earlier this week to discuss the striker’s possible move to Manchester United or Arsenal. Osimhen may leave the Stadio Maradona in the summer with Napoli looking for an offer above €100m. That’s as much as Newcastle United offered in January, but the Partenopei decided against selling the Nigeria international in the middle of the season. According to Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Osimhen dreams of moving to the Premier League, where Arsenal and Manchester United are his favourite destinations. His agent Roberto Calenda is in talks with both clubs and has informed De Laurentiis and Giuntoli about the Gunners’ and the Red Devils’ interests. Il Corriere reports that Manchester United are leading the race to sign Osimhen, but La Gazzetta dello Sport reported last week that the 23-year-old wants to play Champions League football next season. Napoli have already identified several possible replacements for Osimhen: Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori(Sassuolo), Luis Sinisterra, a versatile winger under contract with Feyenoord who can also play as a centre forward, and Giovanni Simeone (Verona).

Nicola Sansone put the ball inside an empty net against Inter yesterday, avoiding referee confusion as the goal would have been disallowed if scored directly from a throw-in. The Italy winger gave all three points to Bologna in a crucial game for the Serie A title yesterday. He made the most of an incredible error from Inter’s second-choice goalkeeper Ionut Radu who failed to control the ball received from a throw-in of Ivan Perisic. It’s still unclear whether Radu touched the ball or not and, in case he didn’t do it, Sansone’s touch would be a decisive one. This is because a goal can’t be scored directly from a throw-in. If the ball enters the opponents’ goal, a goal kick is awarded, while if the ball enters the thrower’s goal, then a corner kick is awarded. If Radu hadn’t touched the ball, Bologna would have been awarded a corner kick, but Sansone’s touch before the ball crossed the line avoided confusion, putting Inter in a troublesome situation.

Elon Musk has lost a bid to get out of an agreement made with regulators requiring oversight of his tweets about his car firm Tesla The settlement was made after he tweeted he had "funding secured" to potentially take Tesla private despite a deal not being close. The ruling comes just days after the world's richest person struck a deal to buy Twitter for $44bn (£35bn). Mr Musk says he wants to make Twitter a bastion of free speech. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Mr Musk of misleading investors with the 2018 tweet, which caused Tesla's share price to fluctuate. Mr Musk's lawyers argued that the SEC's pursuit of him "crossed the line into harassment" and interfered with his right to free speech. US District Judge Lewis Liman rejected those arguments as well as Mr Musk's request to stop a separate SEC investigation into tweets he posted last year regarding the sale of some of his Tesla stock. "Musk cannot now seek to retract the agreement he knowingly and willingly entered by simply bemoaning that he felt like he had to agree to it at the time but now — once the spectre of the litigation is a distant memory and his company has become, in his estimation, all but invincible — wishes that he had not," Mr Liman wrote. The agreement in 2018 required Mr Musk and Tesla to pay $20m each in civil fines and for him to step down as the chairman of the electric car maker. It also required Mr Musk to obtain approval from Tesla's lawyers for tweets and other public statements about the company. The SEC's probe is about tweets Mr Musk posted on 6 November, asking his more than 80m Twitter followers whether he should sell 10% of his stake in Tesla. A majority of those who voted in the poll said he should sell the stake and Mr Musk has since sold more than $16bn worth of Tesla shares. Tesla's share price fell in the wake of the poll and the SEC is investigating whether those tweets were cleared by Tesla lawyers before they were posted. Mr Liman said it was "unsurprising" that the regulator would have questions about the way Mr Musk went about making his decision to sell the shares. Mr Musk, who is a self-described "free speech absolutist", has called for a shakeup of Twitter's moderation policies, which he sees as a threat to free speech. Since the board of Twitter agreed to Mr Musk's takeover bid earlier this week, he has posted several tweets about how he wants the social media platform to change under his ownership. On Wednesday he tweeted "For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally".

Game wey everybody expect say inter go win. Well I happy say Dem lose the match. Milan confirmed top now. Take heart hear? |
Milan are now the Serie A leaders with a two-point lead, although it is technically three points, as they have a superior head-to-head record over Inter. That means the Rossoneri have their fate in their hands, but also what on paper is a tougher run-in, as the Serie A title race could go down to the wire. A win in Bologna would’ve sent Inter one point top of the table, but the Week 20 fixture postponed from January 6 due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the Rossoblu camp did not go the way they expected at the Stadio Dall’Ara. Ivan Perisic’s opener was cancelled out by a Marko Arnautovic header, then late on Ionut Radu’s howler on a throw-in allowed Nicola Sansone to tap in from a yard. Milan are two points clear at the top now, but their advantage is technically three points, because they have the advantage in head-to-head record with Inter. That is because they earned a draw and a victory over the course of the campaign. Therefore, if Milan win three and draw one of their remaining four games, the Scudetto is theirs.

But over a decade has passed and someone who share the same racial identity as Tupac has step in, to say okay, things have happened the way they have, I know you have close ties with that guy, but please give me a chance, to at least do a little of what he could have done for you. I'll be there for you always like Tupac would have been. I don't think what Smith is asking from this woman is too much....he deserves her love, loyalty and respect, if not before, then now. |

Russia has for the first time given the reason for invading Ukraine. Russia said that the goal of its invasion war with Ukraine is to take “full control” over the southern Region of the country as well as the eastern Donbas region. Maj. Gen. Rustam Minnekaev, who’s the acting commander of Russia’s Central Military District, on Friday announced that Russia was fighting to establish a land corridor through Ukrainian territory connecting Russia to Crimea, the peninsula it annexed in 2014. “Since the beginning of the second phase of the special operation, which began literally two days ago, one of the tasks of the Russian army is to establish full control over Donbas and southern Ukraine. This will provide a land corridor to Crimea,” he said. The Major General said this at the annual general meeting of the Union of Defense Industry Enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region, according to TASS news agency, as reported by CNN. According to him, if Russia could get control over Ukraine’s south that would give the country’s forces access to Transnistria, a separatist statelet in Moldova, where a contingent of Russian forces has been stationed since the early 1990s. Russia in recent weeks withdrew its forces in northern Ukraine after a failure to take Kyiv.
