Papi85: Jay Jay Okocha on Maduka Okoye’s exemption from AFCON 🗣️
“The way he has been treated since AFCON 2021, after that fateful Tunisia game, leading to his exclusion from the Eagles, is a mistake. “He is the one keeper that has the type of training and football upbringing that we need in a goalkeeper in the national team. But he is excluded. It’s strange,” Jay Jay talking my mind. We are rewarding mediocrity in goal. A key aspect of any winning team/champion. And journalists and sport bloggers are trying to evoke emotional support and manipulation for what should not be. It is sickening. It shows this guy has long legs aside JPes. Maduka obviously no get long leg reach, thus the omission. Hilarious for us to still be thinking everything with this team is solely merit. But we move sha. Before someone say this is Pessimistic, when was the last time this department was such a horror that it was decisive in not going to WC? Well.... we move. Best of luck to them. I really want to see Osimhen bang in stunners and get golden boot |

Serious, throbbing QUESTION
When do Nigerian Goalkeepers want to break the EPL club jinx for good?
We see the Senegal and Cameroon doing that but it is like a terror zone, especially for African Gks at large. I can't even id the 1st or last NG keeper to at least make bench in epl club, even if na bottom half team. Is it that bad and tasking? Even if they aren't good enough, those not good enough are still there. So what's the crux for this decades old thing? It is worrisome!!

Jodera: There was a reason I asked you that time how many open play headers have Saka actually scored when you were saying that Saka should leave corner kick duties and compete for headers.
As for Jota, he's is their killer!!.
Jota have been out since due to injury and he's just returning. Ask any Liverpool fan, Jota is always a firm favourite to always start when fit. Alexis is shorter than him but still use head. I hate when attackers can't use head, especially for empty net. He needs to totally step UP that aspect abeg. To imagine we were connected to him before Liverpool took over again. |

Jodera: True... There are so many chances a real striker would have converted but it was really wasted.
One thing I noticed is that most of our attackers are always looking for cutbacks. Nobody is attacking the near post, so even if any of our wingers crosses the ball, it'll look as if it's crossed to nobody Your last line is accurate and our problem. Infact notice that for crosses Kai does, he's looking for saka and not Nketiah or Jesus. That says a lot. Plus why is Saka refusing to use his head? All our losses, he had such big chances but preferred leg. We need this striker so bad simply because of what's at stake. Nunez is having a turn around that soon, no one will remember he's a chance waster. He's a 9. But he'll still start over a Jota that plays similar to Jesus. |

Jodera: Naaaahhhh, I won't add the Villa game. After their first goal, they hardly threatened and all their whole gameplay didn't work out at all. We had loads and loads of chances to score but we didn't. I mean, on several occasions we cut them open for a direct shot at goal but we fluffed it very well.
Fulham was the game in which we deserved to lose. They bodied us, their game plan was on point and we didn't have any chances at all. If we were clinical, the only match we would have dropped points going by the way we played is Fulham and possibly Liverpool(which to me was a fair draw) That villa game, that was the Emery plan. His plan worked totally. Asides our bluff. But his plan worked!! Meaning he outsmarted us. Forget any domination talks. Not all domination is a W or ends in W. Some managers just have tiny details that can get them 3points while some sweat over 20 details, overthink them and lose to tiny details. Plus the inability to read and change things during the game too. That killed us. Every time we started a counter vs Villa, we always slowed things down till all purple shirts recovered their shape. That's arrogance!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 End of game: we had loads upon loads of chances, but... Winners: we did one or two and got the goals. But they came at us hard but we survived Na by chance? |

mostob: Semi-Haaland can only score if we are creating chances for him. We are lucky to not be clueless in that regard. Plus the runs of a 9 will make releasing passes faster. We won't need to have all of them behind the ball to start attack. That's the faith. |

Hausa: Without a strong Odegaard backup, we'll be in 55.
He's the key to everything. But he doesn't have the grit to do the job when the heat comes. Last season i complained about him. Because he was the one restricting himself from doing what we expect him to do. He was always in the spot to shoot at the box 18 centre and he will be looking for a pass despite his mates opening up space for him. He picked up last dozen games of the season but it was late. If he is at full potential, he will be much more than whatever he currently is. That hesitation.... |

Jodera: Kai kai spoilt a lot of things Tbh.
What this season just lacks so far is finishers.
I've watched our games again starting from Aston Villa and I noticed that we're not as bad as the way we're made to look(bar the Fulham match). What we just lack was finishing and if we'd done that, all these meltdown wouldn't really have been much.
We need that Spark for goals and we need CF. Especially as you said, to change transition You go add that Villa game o. They gave Fulham the pattern to use and it worked. That says a lot. Sometimes, it is knowing what to do when plans aren't working as expected that is the Major decider, not if one is better or not. We lacked that in all the losses. |

mostob: Even if you get a 100-goal striker, the problem will still persist. As we dey bash Arteta, the players too should be collecting their own bashing.
Your striker go dey inside box, Ode and Saka will be on the wing dancing atilogwu. Martinelli go dey play rubbish too Haba na. No exaggerate am na. If we see semi-haaland right now, problem solved. The instincts of a goal scorer like Auba, for example, will help. But we know personnel seriously need step up. I for one will need a White and Zinny upgrade. |

Jodera: Let's get a good striker. Cos I believe that will boost or light up our attack. They need a spark.
But which good striker can we get? That's the big issue.
As for Toney, Tbh, I'm not too a fan A striker incoming will automatically help our goals and forward rotations. Jesus doesn't need to be benched. He can play either wings and work well with the actual 9 like Laca and Auba did seasons ago. One funny thing is Laca made that central attack region from centre circle to pk spot, his own. Since he left, dominating that exact region left with him.🤣 If we can get a goal scorer ONLY, the attacking wahala will reduce from a 88 to a 39. We will just need to change transition style and if it works, it becomes the tweak of the season. Infact a fit Partey and a 9 will be enough goal threat combo from long balls. I really hope we beat this ffp limit. I hate the timing. But Kai arrival was part. As for Rams, he's still himself. I like that so much. Nelson no just get sense that night.

BlueRayDick: Why I dey reason Maquinos is because I learnt we might enter FFP trap anytime soon if we keep buying and don't make considerable profit from selling. If we sell maquinors now, we will most likely be selling at a loss except he plays few games for us and other clubs see that he's good enough for them to invest on. You don accept fate already 🤣🤣🤣 But that doesn't change anything vos impact will be closer to zero. He can't even bench Nelson. To beat this ffp, they should use that Chelsea long contract format. Or has that been revoked? |

BlueRayDick: I think selling Nketiah will help our books sef cos he is home-grown, we don't need to do subtraction and addition to get his actual value. Whatever value we sell him will be his real value. If players like Watkins or Bowen get injury, na to sell him give them for good money.
I think Viera had been nursing injury before the red card incident sha. I won't mind if we can sell Nelson too and buy somebody else. Nelson just seem to have his progress stalled for like forever and it's neither helping his career nor our team. Talking of Injury, i'm seriously scared for Saka. During the Liverpool game, the commentator said he's been managing an Achilles injury for weeks. I didn't like the sound of that. It is better we get a backup now. If that guy gets injured, we should just forget it!!! Dunno why this guy doesn't want to get that Lens winger that gave us problems in France. |

Truidstarr: Moses Simon is the most annoying SE player we have, he can’t just seem to do the simple things. One on one with the on rushing goal keeper, rather than chip the ball; he plays direct at the goal keeper. Misses a simple penalty. Out of 10 crosses from the wing… 9 are rubbish. He can dribble the whole field; yet his final ball leaves a lot to be desired. You know him!!! If he thinks he will get away with abysmal showings, he never chee chumtin. We want to see something different and as a long term member of the team, he should be past all those shenanigans. We'll see. |
