She was carrying an injury and played through a pain threshold through last season.
She played way too many games and she needed to rest her body. She therefore asked to be excused from some of the qualifiers. She has already proven what she brings to the table and she was granted that reprieve. Nothing nefarious and no need to fly kites and casting unnecessary rumors.
